DiningManager Reviews
Pros
Ease of use and ability to easily train others on basic operations such and printing the traycards or certain reports in the event I am unavailable to perform the operations myself.
Its been a good experience, customer service is helpful as well.
Very user friendly, meal manager, recipes meal cards are easily accessed, Love all of the different report optins.
Cons
I have found that if I take food preferences off such as drinks and dislikes is the only way I can print the menu's with all 3 meals on one sheet of paper.
Since we have a large selection of foods, I am not always able to print all 3 meals on the same sheet of paper than causes problems in the kitchen where the meal is prepped and plated.
I don't really have anything that I don't like about the software. It updated and it works.
"User Friendly System"
Overall: Overall I find the program decent enough to handle most of the needs and items I need to set up and print tray tickets that can be used to help my team with making sure the residents are receiving their meals in a timely fashion. I would of course enjoy having more of some of the features I mentioned above but they are minor things that would be useful in my particular situation, but may not be as needed in other situations.
Pros: Ease of use and ability to easily train others on basic operations such and printing the traycards or certain reports in the event I am unavailable to perform the operations myself.
Cons: I would like to see more customizable options for certain types of reports (or more options) or to be able to do more with color coordination of various things like diets, special items and other things I may wish to have be eye catching so they are noticed easier on a fast moving trayline or service. More ability to add more details to notes or other concerns to tickets that require a bit more details without being chopped off. Would love if it had a way to integrate with Point Click Care to help with updating diet orders or the like. I would also find it beneficial to have the option for an 'offline' mode in which the system can be still functional in the event of a power failure of loss of internet service, even if the its only say basic functions like being able to print tickets or do basic functions. Being able to back up the archives in a quick and easy format if needed for disaster emergencies, such as being able to create a sort of master file of resident preferences and other data that may be of use in the event of need to evacuate and need to be able to have a portable version of the basic info to continue some level of care with being able to double check certain info o like diets, allergies and other info while in transition during a disaster situation.
"Great Useability"
Pros: I like that it is so easy to swap menu items to make changes for our Residents as we are a very Resident driven 4 week menu cycle based operation. If something doesn't work it is easily swapped out, printed and cycled into the current implemented menus.
Cons: Sometimes there are multiple recipes of the same/ similar name because their recipe catalogue is so vast that you have to verify you are grabbing the correct menu item when making changes or building a menu.
"Dislike the menu card program"
Overall: Not including the meal card program the program is good.
Pros: It was easy to use getting started after educated.
Cons: Some of our UMR doesn't flow over to the program like it is supposed to. We are using the Meal Card program with menus printed on them for our residents to choose their preferences on. Since we have a large selection of foods, I am not always able to print all 3 meals on the same sheet of paper than causes problems in the kitchen where the meal is prepped and plated. I have found that if I take food preferences off such as drinks and dislikes is the only way I can print the menu's with all 3 meals on one sheet of paper.
"Cdm review"
Overall: It is the best system that I have worked with in my 25+ years as a Manager.
Pros: That you have option to make your own recipe
Cons: You can not add multiple diet orders to the ticket. example: CCHO/Small Portions or Gluten Free/ CCHO
"Review"
Overall: Overall experience has been satisfying. Entering house recipes is beneficial for resident and/or local favorites. Still learning various functions to improve our service.
Pros: Site is very easy to work through. Site has a lot of information that is useful in operation.
Cons: There are areas that could be upgraded to work together better and not have to go out and come back in to document. Tableside order tracking is great, however, if you have to do multiple reprints d/t the printer malfunctioning or other technical difficulty, you have to go back through the list of residents multiple times. It would be helpful if you could choose more than one resident if needed at a time to reprint.
