I have successfully deployed a Node.js project utilizing the Next.js framework through the Hostinger Deploy Web application via GitHub integration. As a first-time user, Hostinger's hpanel is user-friendly, particularly with the assistance of the AI assistant Kodee.

Pros

\* Excellent GitHub Integration, incredibly smooth push-to-deploy experience similar to other alternatives like Vercel and Render. \* AI assistant Kodee, let's you up to speed \* Security vulnerabilities email notification \* Dashboard showing essentials, analytics, etc., which can be scanned easily. \* Website tools like analytics, performance, and analytics \* Simple and Easy database management

Cons

\* Setting up a Web app lets you choose the domain first instead of selecting a GitHub repository (maybe I am just used to this workflow). \* Simple runtime logs \* I am unable to override the deployment build command. \* Github integration supports one account only.

I switched because Hostinger has many features than Render. And, it is a value for money.

It has been somewhat pleasant but I will need to move to a more professional company if we want our brand to be taken seriously. I have been with many hosts over many years and I can not rely on the level of service received from them.

Pros

The price is good and their support team are very friendly but it is easy to tell the response is mostly Ai generated and not very helpful.

Cons

Site went down for 12 hours yesterday due to suspected abuse / phishing but after the painful reactivation they can not provide any information on why this occurred. This was on several domains some that are used as storage to host images and other marketing material like mailers. This resulted in a whole department not being able to work for more than a full business day with no explanation of what caused it.

Overall, I think Hostinger Node.js Hosting is a very good option for small to medium Node.js applications, especially if you want to deploy quickly without spending too much time on manual server configuration. As a full-stack developer, I usually work with manual setups like Nginx, PM2, SSL, environment variables, and CI/CD, so I appreciated how much Hostinger simplified the process.

Pros

I tested Hostinger Node.js Hosting by deploying a real Node.js application, and the overall experience was smooth. What I liked most was the simple deployment flow. I could deploy through ZIP upload or connect a GitHub repository, and the GitHub integration made the process feel much easier because I did not need to set up a separate CI/CD pipeline. hPanel was also clean and easy to use for managing the Node.js project, environment variables, and hosting settings. I liked that Hostinger supports common stacks and frameworks like Express, Next.js, React, Vue, and Angular. WebSocket support also worked with much less configuration compared with a manual Nginx reverse proxy setup. The npm vulnerability email alert was useful, and AI Kodee helped me find settings and troubleshoot build/deployment issues faster.

Cons

The main area for improvement is backend observability. Build time can feel a bit slow, and backend log monitoring/debugging is not as advanced as what I can get from my VPS setup. For larger production systems that need load balancing, advanced monitoring, or deeper infrastructure control, I would still prefer a VPS/cloud setup. But for small to medium Node.js applications, Hostinger Node.js Hosting is very convenient.

Switched from

[DigitalOcean](https://www.capterra.com/p/205055/DigitalOcean/)

I wanted a simpler Node.js deployment workflow. With my previous VPS setup, I had to configure Nginx, PM2, SSL, environment variables, and CI/CD manually. Hostinger reduced that setup time with GitHub integration and an easier deployment experience.

Alternatives considered

[Amazon EC2](https://www.capterra.com/p/219781/EC2/)

Reasons for choosing Hostinger

I chose Hostinger for its simplicity and cost-effectiveness. It provides a much easier Node.js deployment workflow than managing a VPS manually, with GitHub integration and built-in hosting features that reduce infrastructure setup time.

Recently, I deployed a Node.js application on Hostinger, including a Node.js API and Socket.IO for real-time features. The deployment process was fairly smooth and straightforward. Hostinger provides a user-friendly interface that makes it easier to manage server-side applications even for users who are not highly experienced in DevOps. Overall, the performance has been stable, and the setup process was simple. It supports modern web applications well, and I was able to get my project running without major issues. It’s a good choice for deploying Node.js projects, especially for beginners or small to medium applications.

Pros

Hostinger is very easy to use and beginner-friendly. The setup process is simple, and it doesn’t take much time to get a website running. The dashboard is clean and makes website management straightforward

Cons

Some features are required or limited depending on the plan, which can feel restrictive for new users.

Overall, I think Hostinger Node.js hosting is a great option for simple to moderately complex applications, especially if you want a quick and hassle-free deployment experience.

Pros

I recently tried Hostinger Node.js hosting by deploying a simple Express and Next.js application, and overall the experience was quite smooth. What stood out most was how quick and easy the deployment process was. The platform automatically detects the application type (like Express or Next.js), which removes a lot of manual setup and makes it very beginner-friendly. It’s also quite cost-effective, especially for Next.js apps, which can get expensive on platforms that rely heavily on serverless functions. The dashboard is clean and informative, with everything you need easily accessible. I also liked the built-in file manager for quick edits, along with features like backups and CDN integration being readily available. Updating the app and redeploying changes, including environment variables, was straightforward and intuitive.

Cons

On the downside, when it comes to more granular control over the infrastructure or advanced configurations, the platform feels a bit limited. To unlock more flexibility, it seems like you need to move to higher-tier plans, which can be a bit of a hassle depending on your use case. Additionally, the pricing for single-month plans is relatively high compared to 12- or 24-month plans, which can make short-term testing or experimentation more expensive.

Alternatives considered

[Amazon EC2](https://www.capterra.com/p/219781/EC2/)

Reasons for choosing Hostinger

I chose Hostinger over AWS mainly for its simplicity and cost-effectiveness. While AWS offers extensive features and granular control, it also comes with a steeper learning curve and requires more time to configure and manage infrastructure.

I had a very positive experience with Hostinger overall. It helps simplify the deployment process for modern web applications, allowing developers to bring hosting, domains, environment variables, CDNs, and integrations together in a single platform. For simpler applications where a more custom setup isn’t necessary, it can also be cheaper than hosting on something like AWS.

Pros

Through Hostinger the setup process for deploying a Node.js application is very straightforward. I deployed a small Next.js app connected to an external MongoDB database, and the whole process was very quick. I also appreciated how easy it was to manage environment variables and connect to MongoDB Atlas directly from the dashboard. All the different things needed for deployment like getting a domain or setting up a CDN can be done here in one place, so it makes for a very solid deployment experience.

Cons

There were a few minor points of confusion during the setup process. I initially ran into a couple of error messages during deployment that were not very clear, and it wasn’t always obvious whether an issue was related to the project configuration or something else. But restarting the deployment process made the errors go away so it seemed to just be a temporary issue. The database options could also be explained a bit more clearly. While Hostinger can help connecting to external databases like MongoDB Atlas, this isn’t immediately obvious from the main database section, which may be confusing at first. Overall these were relatively small issues, but improving clarity in these areas would make the onboarding experience even smoother.

Disappointing. We could never treat our clients like this. Wasted time and money. Doubtful that other areas of the business are trustworthy.

Pros

Well designed interface, visually. That's all I can say. Advertised prices are good if they stick to them.

Cons

False advertising in checkout process and email invoice. Showed 1 year of domain registration during transfer process as discounted from usual price of USD$18 to USD$1. But didn't renew the domain, and charged USD$1 for nothing. Emailed invoice shows domainname.tld 1 year $0.00 and USD$1 for one year of transfer (as if that's a product anywhere on the internet without renewal; it's not). Support refuse to address the 1 year domainname.tld product on the invoice. Further, the transfer process was buggy and needed two support agents to manually transfer it in themselves.

Price. I was mistaken. Hostinger was misleading.

I found it as good as hosting a node.js application in Vercel or Netlify platforms. It has all the similar configuration options for a node.js application deployment.

Pros

It's very straight forward to link a github repository and get a node.js application deployed in hostinger. Then connect the domain to it.

Cons

Had to connect a domain to a deployment node.js project to have https enabled. https is not available for hostinger temporary domains.

I tested out the platform by hosting a Node.js app. Ran into a minor issue with the default build steps provided, but overall was a very simple process.

Pros

App deployments are pretty simple as most of the configuration is auto-detected for you. I found the UI is modern and intuitive.

Cons

I don’t have anything negative to say about using the platform. The prices feel a bit high for short-term subscriptions, but the value is much better if you subscribe for a longer term.
