I can even see a grade for a specific assignment. The amount of information Skyward has provided me throughout the last four years is amazing. Pros This software allows me to see many aspects of my daughter's education, from grades to GPA to her schedule and more. Running reports is intuitive and the ability to produce reports in PDF or Excel is fantastic. Pros Having just joined my organization in the past year, I appreciated Skyward's intuitive structure to the various modules. I was able to easily pick up on the necessary tasks, and the data mining feature allows me to build every report I need. Cons I have no complaints at this time. Skyward is a solid product. June 21, 2018 4.0 There's no need to 'show' students their grades, as they and their families have access to it. Administration too, can just pull grades from the network without having the teacher duplicate their efforts. Pros I liked the variety of grading options to set up your classes and the ease of setting everything up. No need to duplicate work. Customer Service always comes through for us and answer us in a very timely manner when we need help. Pros Easy to use Cons My only complaint is the need to change calendar days in multiple spots, like changing our end of term this week after a snow day. I don't have to go into the school to ask what the kids are up to; I check Skyward. If the teacher has a question for me or vice versa, we don't have to hope a written note makes it to its destination; we check Skyward. It's made life during a pandemic a lot easier. I would recommend it to anyone and everyone. Pros I like that I can stay connected with my kids' teachers. This pandemic has made it hard to be hands-on, and Skyward has made things a lot easier. Pros Skyward allows me access to my kids school enrollment. I am able to manage all of my kids under one login. I can check their grades and communicate with their teachers. Cons Some items cannot be updated in the system by the user, you have to contact the school to have them update. The system should allow the user to update their personal information. I can monitor their grades and assignments and make sure they aren’t getting behind. It’s way to register for school for the new year without having to up to the school and wait in the long lines. Cons It doesn’t have the best mobile interface. I wish there was app instead. With the students picture with their name is helps to learn our new students as well. I enjoy the quick access from the app on my smart phone. Pros I love using the app on my cell phone. When I want to take attendance quickly I just open the app and I can get it done in a few minutes, instead of going to my computer to log in and do it. Cons The system can be unresponsive and the software will not work. This causes issues in the school when we need to take attendance daily or out grades in. Pros The school I work at switched to this 3 years ago and it allows me to go on-line to check my sick days, personal days, and check stubs. It is very user friendly. Cons The only real negative I can think of is, some times I forget my password, otherwise it is a very nice system to have that I can monitor my information instead of calling HR. Cons Being able to load pictures, graphs, paperwork (like missing assignment(s) - allowing for these to be uploaded can give families asses to the work immediately. Cons Sometimes Skyward seems to freeze, but I am not sure if that is the software of if it's because of the devices used.
