Good software, very user friendly and I’ll recommend to anyone.

Pros

Great app for schools to manage students grading online. Makes it easier for students to check results and their gpa. Good school app.

Cons

I don’t have any problem With skyward school management. But there can still be changes made to make the software batter.

It is forced down your throat with no support just "here do this and if you don't you're in trouble but we won't help you at all"

Pros

I hate this software, it doesn't show me a login portal

Cons

I hate it, I can't find the login portal, i think it's mythical.

Pros

I found Skyward to be hard to use as a parent when my children were in elementary school; not intuitive, too many clicks, etc. But later versions of it were much improved in this regard.

Cons

It could be hard to access with complicated passwords and phrases.

It is possible choose how I want my screen to look and can choose the information presented. Additionally, It can access pertinent school information.

Cons

This software is possible to use as a student information system and also be used for finances and food service.

Pros

I am just learning to use this program so to say there is a tremendous amount of pro's, I can't at this point.

Cons

I am just learning to use this q-financial part of skyward and it's been a challenge. I don't know if it's because we don't have access to contact skyward personally or if it's our trainers. Once all the stuff is put into my pages accurately then it was easier. Just been a long drawn out process, again I don't really know if it is skywards issue or the ones in our admin. office making the decisions.

There are so many other options, time to start over and update for ease of use.

Pros

nothing, it is flashy and old fashion, as if the IRS was in charge of web development.

Cons

It is not intuitive for users, It is old fashioned code and applications are not easy to use, a waste of time and money.

### "Simple, Practical and reliable"

Generally good. I would recommend it for teachers who like to keep a clear records.

Pros

As a teacher, this tool is excellent to keep track of everything in one place. We stopped using it as an institution but I still use it for my own personal records but everything is organized and clear.

Cons

I cannot think of something I do not like, however, the tool crashed a few times leaving me i the middle of something I had to restart, which is kind of annoying.

I've been using skyward school management for about 4 months now and it was a little overwhelming at first but once you get the hang of it you start to really appreciate how they have it set up and why. It really makes sense when you want to do a report in the future!

Pros

What I like most about skyward school management is that the functionality of the program overall is really good and easy to use.

Cons

I wish that skyward had visual aids to show the step by step process of how to do certain functions in the program. This would make it easier to train someone that's new to the program or good to reference when you forget how to do the functions that you don't perform as often.

Pros

The software is intuitive and functional. Various folders can be set up for different subject areas. Users can also communicate via the its portal.

Cons

Once log in, it opens a new popup window. So users must set their popup window function to allow the new popup. Often times the pop-up windows becomes hidden when user switches from site to site. The software should improve to put things in the same window instead of opening popup windows.

Pros

The multiple different features is what's best about Skyward. The ability to not only be used as a student information system but also be used for finances and food service is great.

Cons

Some of the programs that Skyward provides have compatibility issues with certain operating systems/internet browsers. There was a few times when we had to use legacy products just to keep Skyward functional.

It is a great software for privacy and safety purposes but not very easy friendly.

Pros

I love this software because I love that I can trust the website when it comes to financial information of others. I am a user and knowing this is very pleasing.

Cons

It can be hard for user who are not technology tacky. Also when I was using this software, it needed me to be on the school district I worked at to access my information.

### "Awful, Awful User Experience"

The software looks good but that is as far as I can go with a compliment.

Pros

There are few software applications that provide such a terrible user experience. This reminds me of software written by people who have no idea what they are doing for the industry at hand...very similar to the terrible EHR software that is out there. Doing simple actions like moving between sections or modifying fields (you have to make sure you click the ICON next to the item in the dropdown, don't just click the drop down item).... Just Ugh.

Cons

UX. Hire a real team of web developers.

I believe Skyward has great potential, but may take longer to get adjusted to. I believe this is an "updated" version than I have used previously.

Pros

I like to have one place to "visit" all of my student's school information. One log in is important, as well as information at my fingertips.

Cons

As a parent, there are too many options, too many views. I check to see grades, but I have to see all of these other things (that aren't up to date). Perhaps the view can be adjusted by the school, I am not sure. I think that parents should, first and foremost, just be able to see grades. There are about 10 icons visible, perhaps they can be "re-ordered" for ease.

Skyward does its job: it allows us to record absences from employment and then redirects us to a website for assigning subs.

Cons

I wish that assigning and requesting subs was integrated into Skyward, because having the two sites allows for so much redundancy.

As a special educator I am forced to use the IEP system. I find it to be user unfriendly and makes more work than necessary. It lacks drop down menus for test accommodations. The format works but moving between pages is cumbersome. Meeting dates as well as implementation and end dates have to be entered on each page individually...Really, there must be a better way. Please meet with Special Educators to fix this mess.

Would give much higher ratings if payments could be automated for my child's lunch account as the system we previously used allowed.

Easy to log into and see info.

Difficult to actually address payment issues that I find.

Thanks for your review, Eric. Please note that Skyward is not actually the system that's processing your online payments. You may want to reach out to your child's school to find out if the payment vendor they are using has an option for automatic withdrawal (most do).

Bummed that it costs so much because many people who do use it have been very pleased with it's performance and uses.

Pros

Skyward included all of the features and options a SIS would/should have. It is also used for our local school district, which would have helped our current school parents transition to the local public schools much easier.

Cons

Cost. Plain and simple. We are a small school and we could not afford the cost of Skyward for our small school. There wasn't even a way we could get a discount if we signed up somehow under the local school district.

We are a small, rural school district. We have been using Skyward's School Management System for several years. Our staff, parents, and students love the software's ease of use. With more and more people on mobile devices 24/7, our users enjoy using the Skyward Mobile App to be able to view information on the go from almost anywhere. We have had several new staff that had to learn the software and their training has been great. The customer service has always been very fast and efficient.

There are many functions and it is relatively easy to use once you get the hang of it.

The options are somewhat difficult to locate on the toolbars and the format could be easier to navigate.

Product work well even though they don't follow best management practices in their database. They have database structures where they have the same data enter into the system multiple times. As far as support you will need a calendar and not a stop watch. You can't call a support person directly you will be put in the email que of death and wait and wait and wait. There chat line works ok but this will not meet all your support needs. Also there support calls are not 24 \* 7 unless you pay extra fees. They charge for support outside on normal day to day support. They are also expensive.
