So far I've had no problems with figuring things out from trial and error, but I do find that there is a lack of new up to date training videos online.

Pros

Super easy to get the hang of things. What Design Flex offers us is the ability to design and order through our manufacturers with ease. That does wonders for our company.

Cons

The program is a but pricey for a company of our size, but we aim to make the most of it and get our return on investment. The interface is decent enough, but not very modern.

My overall experience has been excellent, smooth, intuitive, and genuinely enjoyable to use. Thank you.

Pros

Design Flex is a fantastic, intuitive design software that makes complex tasks feel simple. It has quickly become an essential part of my workflow.

Cons

I haven't found any real issues so far. The software has met my expectations in every area, and any minor adjustments would simply be part of normal future improvements rather than actual shortcomings.

Customer service has been very good. The technicians all have different levels of training so you do tend to get slightly different "fixes"/"solutions" when you call back multiple times.

Pros

I like most of the versatility it offers in designing. The designing part is also user friendly. The renderings are getting much better but take a bit too much time to come up. For the manufacturers that offer accurate pricing in their catalogs, it's great that you can get a price without having to enter it into the online portals of each manufacturer.

Cons

I don't like the glitches it still has. Some of these include: difficulty in getting printing/display settings right, strange ceiling lines that shouldn't be there (especially with different ht walls), difficulty in zooming in/out of renderings, limitation of catalogs available and the inability to customize (decorative) objects and appliances.

Overall the experience is pretty good. Cyncly seems to be working on the annoying bugs that seemed to be ignored in prior versions.

Pros

The software is less glitchy and some background improvements have been made to the function. Less corrupted files and lost work.

Cons

I wish the catalog part of the software was integrated with the software instead of separate. Chief Architect does this pretty well. It would be nice to see Design Flex incorporate a similar process.

I think overall it's improved. I think if they could tighten the rendering system it would be awesome. I like the new layout of the system and especially the cloud browser.

Pros

I really like that the system is a lot cleaner and the renderings look better. I always liked the cloud browser and I think it's really improved.

Cons

WHen creating a rendering, the lighting is a pain. If I am just disgning a small vanity or bar, I have to put several walls up to get lighting on the cabinets. The colors are off too. Everything is kind of dark. I also do not like that you cannot load several renderings at once or download them at once because it will more likely cause the system to crash. When before I would load all my renderings then save.

Overall, my experience with 2020 Design Flex has been positive. It remains a reliable and capable program that gets the job done and supports a professional design process. It’s a solid choice for designers who need both functionality and flexibility.

Pros

2020 Design Flex has been a strong tool in my workflow, especially for kitchen and millwork design. What I like most is its flexibility and the ability to quickly build detailed layouts that clients can easily visualize. It tracks the time per design so there is no confusion when tracking your time. The cloud-based access is a big advantage, making it easy to work across devices without being tied to one computer. The catalog integrations are also helpful, allowing for relatively accurate specifications. When it works well, it really speeds up the design process and helps present a polished, professional package which I feel is great value for your money.

Cons

That said, there are definitely areas where it falls short. The software can be laggy at times, especially with more complex designs, which can interrupt workflow and slow things down. Some of the features feel less intuitive than they should be, requiring extra steps. Rendering can also be inconsistent, and while it’s good for general visuals, it doesn’t always deliver the level of realism clients expect. There are moments where I doo need to call into customer support however, the client support is amazing and the representatives are knowledgable.

I have found the service to be okay when I do get someone on the phone. It was marginally improving over the last couple of years. My biggest concern was price. And having to pay for add ons when this is just a rented software. I also decided to branch out more into interiors and there for purched and yes steep learning curve but went with Sketchup. The full studio peice was $1200.00 in comparison with $2700 with a promo rate of the essentials to go with it. I was disappointed that the peogram was getting throttled and i only got basic packs for $2500 a year. I could not even download my favorite underground catalouge without having to pay the full premiumn price. and this is a rental not an OWED program and thats yearly. So just way to much to absorb for one person. I was a user on an off for 30+ years. I started with version 3.1

Pros

That it is indicitave to the Kitchen design industry. That i could get a job easily because i was well versed in the program.I did like the 360 element

Cons

Price and service. Price exhorbant for basic plan. Service improved marginally over the years. Crashes. Lack of forum advice.

The snap alignment system work much more smoothly. The rendering system allows smoother rotation of the design to show customers.

The lighting feature is completely messed up. The ceiling light movement system from the earlier version is much better. Also, the sunlight placement system doesn't effect the lighting in the rendering system for image save purposes.

It works well but is very expensive for what it does. It's powerful but you can tell the software is very old and is a continual improvement of a somewhat outdated platform.

Pros

it's powerful, does a nice job overall. lots of options and abilities to adjust things as required. It's a must have in the industry currently.

Cons

Some things could be much more simple to make designs go faster. the program sometimes makes really dumb decisions. Probably some AI rational would go a long way.
