Overall I am a very happy with UserWay's widget, their support team, and their offerings as a whole. Their price point is very reasonable. I highly recommend them to all my colleagues.

Pros

UserWay Accessibility Widget is a game changer. For us it was super easy to set up, install, and it's been up and running since 2023 without issue. The live chat support is incredibly knowledgeable, quick with their response times, and always makes sure to go the extra mile in completing our requests timely and correctly. The features and options within UserWays accessibility widgets are the best I've found. Their seamless integration with my Shopify store makes them the best of the best.

Cons

I sometimes find that I get decision paralysis and the amount of options they offer within their widgets gets a bit overwhelming.

The worst waste of money I have dealt with in a very long time.

Pros

Because they say they will support you if one of these crappy ads lawsuits come up, but they don’t. You will have to hire a lawyer, because guess what? Their software does not cover ADA compliance. Seriously, don’t get me started, because I could talk for days about the “legal” support they provide. In fact, leave your company name in the comments, if there are comments, and I would be happy to reach out and tell you ever detail of my interaction with userway, including what I have in writing. Buyer beware!

Cons

Let’s see…,the fact that you promise legal security, but don’t deliver it. An amazing act of being complete sheisters.

I rolled this out across our marketing and member portals to stop wasting engineering time on routine accessibility sweeps. We got the free version live on production in under an hour. It costs a fraction of what we'd pay in manual dev hours, and the automated fixes actually scale with our site.

Pros

It completely kills the need for manual accessibility fixes. We were burning days of engineering time upfront and every month just to keep up with WCAG standards. The AI handles compliance automatically as we ship new content, keeping our dev queue clear.

Cons

The pricing jump from the free tier to the $1,190/yr Pro Plus plan is steep. They really need better middle-tier options or dedicated pricing for early-stage startups and healthcare platforms.

It works well. And it allows my clients to see it work on a basic level, before upgrading to all the bells and whistles. Accesibe doesn't have a basic level so I don't use them at all now.

Pros

It provides a good tool for vision impaired individuals. It also provides some coverage for merchants who can't afford PRO, but most likely will choose it in the future as it becomes more essential through state legislation.

Cons

The cost for PRO. Clients avoid the extra cost. But at least I can set them up with a basic widget where they can pivot to the advanced widget easily when the time comes.

It has a basic version which can be used with the option to upgrade to Advanced. I love the dashboard. It make it easy for implementation. And the chat is great - great customer service, very helpful.

I loved the fact that it was super easy to install and configure. It offers a wide range of features too! I love how quick any changes you make are published instantly. UserWay is by far the best accessibility widget tool out on the market!

Cons

I cannot find anything I have not liked so far. This is a great tool. If i had to list maybe one con, is that I did not find this solution sooner.

Very happy with the widget. It allowed us to quickly add an accessibility tool to our website with limited developer involvement.

Pros

The app is easy to install and works instantly - anyone with website access would be able to install this widget. It is great that you can customize it to your brand, and position it easily on your website. I like that Userway sends you emails, with recommendations on how to use the tool and continuous improvement like branding, adding an accessibility statement, sharing your use of the tool online, and more.

Cons

So far there are no cons. Aside from the subscription-based model, which the preference would be to purchase the product at a one-time fee.

I have had a difficult time reaching out account manager to enable pro through our Level Access account. Once we have that set up I will be happy.

Cons

Some accessibility issues still need manual work or developer help. The AI-generated alt text isn’t always spot-on, especially for more complex visuals.

Pros

How easy it was to install and use. Trying to implement something in house would take a long time and budget, this was such an easy option to use.

Pros

That I won't get sued for not having accessibility issues on my website. On top of that is really easy to use for disabled people.

Cons

Nothing to say here. Everything is so easy, just copy and paste the code provided on your backend of your website and you are ready to go. Prevent having heavy fines for not having your website in proper conditions.

I don't like the fact that you need to open the widget to change languages. It is not intuitive to open an ADA widget to select a language. I feel we could be selling this feature more as an add-on if we could toggle it from outside the widget.

Pros

We use both the paid and free versions of UserWay. It is easy to install and I love being able to manage all my pages in one place. The customer service is excellent as well!

The widget is sometimes hard to place properly on a mobile website but there are lots of options to make it work.
