I have experience using JobBOSS² to support manufacturing operations by managing quotes, customer information, job tracking, inventory, and production workflows. I used the system to monitor job status, access real-time information, and help ensure projects moved efficiently from quoting through production. Overall, I found JobBOSS² to be a valuable ERP system that improved organization, streamlined processes, and provided greater visibility into manufacturing operations.

Pros

What I liked most about JobBOSS² was its ability to manage the entire manufacturing process in one system. It made it easy to track quotes, jobs, inventory, scheduling, and customer information, which improved communication across departments and increased visibility into production. I also appreciated the real-time reporting and job tracking features, which helped monitor progress, identify bottlenecks, and make informed decisions.

Cons

One aspect I liked least about JobBOSS² was that some workflows required multiple steps to complete, which could be time-consuming. The interface can also feel dated in certain areas, and generating or customizing reports sometimes required additional setup or training. While it is a powerful ERP system, it takes time for new users to become fully proficient.

Pros

I liked the fact JobBOSS² allows me to follow the job status in real-time from the work center update. I can easily tell which workstation is behind or ahead of the schedule and mobilize resources to ensure timely deliveries which there was no way I could do in the past.

Cons

The reporting tool lacks flexibility in a way that allows me to go through multiple jobs with similar material or customer group. For instance, when I wanted to run a profitability report per each of the related customers, I had to export and then combining outside.

Pros

I believe it was a significant upgrade in terms of the job costing accuracy for our company. It also allows for the tracking of materials and hours in order by order to find which orders are consuming the most time. I have been able to assess which jobs are inimical to margins and make correct estimations in that respect.

Cons

I noticed that it was somewhat limited on the part variation when it came to vendors. We are often unable to distinguish new revisions of parts from the same supplier unless we enter new part numbers for them, which only increases the amount of data we enter on our end.

We use JobBOSS² every day and our business is better off using the software.

Pros

JobBOSS² makes it very fast to get work done as compared to other softwares, There are fewer steps required to complete the work that needs to be done. We like the functionality of the system and we use it every day effectively.

Cons

Sometimes the system is not as interconnected as I would like it to be. I want the system to speak to every aspect of the ERP to be fully connected.

Overall, we have a great experience every day with JobBOSS². It works for us, and it does what our workers need.

Pros

We really like that we can have multiple windows open at the same time and be working on lots of different things at once. It helps us to work faster. Also, the menu items are very clear and the system overall is easy to navigate. Recently quoted parts, RFQ, etc. are all easy to use for us. Keeping track of jobs that our employees are working on is easy with JobBOSS².

Cons

No complaints. The software does exactly what I need it to do.

Overall, JobBOSS² works very good for us. The capability of this ERP is awesome.

Pros

JobBOSS² is easy to use. It's very flexible and user friendly. Also, it is easy to bring new employees onto the system, teach them how to use it, and quickly get them using the system effectively.

Cons

One of our integrations is not syncing up properly - we're struggling to get the data points over from Paperless Parts into the system. Also, there seems to be a ceiling on scalability with the number of parts of our products, as some have 600 or 700 components - this can be difficult to manage.

Overall, the system is reliable and doesn't go down - I don't lose important things that I keep in the system very often. It works for what I need it to do.

Pros

We really like the structural layout of JobBOSS². It is repetitive in how it's laid out, so the logic and flow of the system is very intuitive.

Cons

While the system worked very well for us as our one single company, we have had some complications with bringing newly acquired businesses onto the system. We had some custom code written to accommodate this, but is still not functioning properly for us. We cannot easily combine multiple companies into the system.

JobBOSS² is very user friendly and easy to navigate. It's fast and easy to use - there's no buffering, and we like that the system is web based.

Pros

Estimating is great. Shipping and Purchasing are great. Inventory Control is great.

Cons

Scheduling can be difficult to figure out, but we are working on that. Also, the Accounting can be a little wonky sometimes in how it integrates with QuickBooks.
