E2 has been vital to our business and can't imagine how we would have gotten along without it. Cons Would be nice to be able to have open multiple sections of the software. Very easy to train new hires on the software, and customer service and technical support and very good. Cons The software is a little expensive so if you are a new shop you may not be able to purchase it right away for a start up. Pros Usability as a job shop ERP system. Not all ERP systems can serve as a job shop companies ERP system. Cons High implementation cost forces users to use for a long time and not upgrade to a new system that contains cloud systems every couple of years. Interface is slow, confusing and not friendly to use. We have been in business since 1975, and this is the third manufacturing software we have used. We chose E2 Shoptech back in 2010, going live beginning of 2011. We selected this software due to ease of use and affordability, mainly. Our previous software had a glitch in the Quoting Module, making it very difficult for our Project Managers to use. Our installation and implementation went very smoothly with E2. We did send a few people for the key training at their CT facility, and were able to go live with the software in a short period of time. Our consultants were extremely helpful during the whole process. The Technical Support people are great! You are able to get immediate assistance, and their website has a lot of information, as well. We had a customized report that was showing some discrepancies between that data and the data on other canned reports in E2. I sent them a copy of our database, and they had to do some extensive research. They were able to come back to me within a day or two with results. They helped us adjust what we do on our end to make the information more accurate on the customized report. I highly recommend this software to manufacturing companies. We use E2's Accounting Module, as well. For the Executives in your company, they will love the Executive Overview in QuickView--which is a great place to go for all kinds of information at your fingertips! When ever I need to call they are quick to help and even call to check up and make sure things are still working out. Pros This software is easy to use and I enjoy how the PO system keeps everything organized. Cons Sometimes its closes out by its self, to where I have to log back in and start over. August 28, 2018 4.0 Pros E2 is really easy to use and get setup for your company, especially if you run a job shop. It has comprehensive features to allow you to track time and jobs. From quoting, all the way to post production, it has you covered. It also has semi-automated integration with Quickbooks, to help keep your financials in line with operations. It has streamlined our process and has cut the time it takes for us to get going. The vendor answers questions in a timely manner. They also have a lot of videos on their website that answers a lot of the questions you might have. Cons I am not a fan of the fact that some of the more important aspect of the product are not explained in the videos. For example, the quality module is touched upon but not necessarily explained. If a person buys a module, I feel the vendor should have some free classes to make sure people are using it correctly. I don't think it's right to sell something but not offer free help when you first purchase it. Review Source HS Harry S. The system allows us a lot of control over our process and becomes a great tool that can be used to train new people to the business, completing their role correctly and consistently with existing employees. With E2, our sales team always has instant information and history on any past customer transactions and can reference old orders and data very quickly and easily. Cons We are limited to what the system can or cannot do; sometimes, we need to change and conform to work within it's capabilities. Pros Every company has different data needs. Shop-tech allows for good customization when the need comes up. Cons There does not seem to be many report options that come standard. Everything can be managed by one software. Purchasing, scheduling, employee time tracking, costing all in one place. The customer support is great. Anytime we've had a question or problem they are quick to respond and help us resolve the issue. I really simplifies the day to day tasks in the office. Pros I just love the E2 Shop Sysstem software becuse it is so easy to use. The Icon view makes navigating through the system a breeze. Cons I think the lease thing I like about the system is the cost.
