Pros For this review, I am using Deepl to write the pros I'm not a native speaker I scratch a lot in English so I need to use tools to not get stuck part of my income comes from writing and Deepl is the one I use the most, it suits me perfectly well, I can choose the way it is spoken in other regions the same language, amazing tool. Cons I think that Deepl's design is amazing, and so they should not limit themselves in their functions, even in the Pro plan they have limitations, I use Grammarly as an example, they can go further otherwise, we will have to go to Grammarly again after using Deepl, but if they put functions that keep us in Deepl it will be great. Written to MD with my complaints and suggestions for improvement - not answer. Pros Accuracy and speed. Many different languages available, but I only use two main languages. Voice translation is possible. Cons Users of your translation programme have no way of exiting your default programme; in other words, they have to select the source and target languages anew every time, even though most users usually choose the same language combination. It’s a right pain! The default target language is American English, the spelling of which we in the UK consider incorrect and therefore generally avoid. 2. In the basic version of the programme, only a single glossary is permitted at no extra cost. No translator can work with just a single glossary, so why on earth do you even offer this? Very petty! 3. Pros Probably the most accurate and human-sounding machine translation out there. DeepL has really upped the game with its extensive customization options and document translation, allowing me to just use it without worrying about accuracy. Cons The interface could use some improvement. Other than fewer restrictions on translation, there are no major benefits to going for a pro subscription. The cost of a pro subscription therefore tends to be a bit high for personal use, but not a big concern for work use. The clever use of buttons and shortcuts allows you to open it from any text source and then paste the already translated texts directly into the source page. Its extreme configurability makes it invaluable and irreplaceable for translations that don't sound mechanical and low-level. Cons It would be nice to have some additional features (however already included in paid subscriptions) such as being able to use formal or informal tones, or some custom glossary. December 29, 2025 2.0 My subscription is monthly but I use it almost a year. Overall, I was satisfied. During last month's subscription I faced some problems with deepl's translate text. The alternatives do not work properly resulting to waste my time as well as the limit of the characters i have due to my plan pro. So, I emailed them and notified them with my problem. After some emails the result was that ''my issue is not a priority'' and when I asked for at least a compensation, they responded ''Regrettably, we are not able to offer any form of compensation, or goodwill gesture in this case.'' So I don't think it's worth €30,00 per month. Pros It's easy to use and quite accurate. At ''translation text'' there is the option of ''alternatives'' that helps me a lot. I like well their translator can be reshaped to avoid having a single translation. Pros The ability to rephrase sentences and in various tones and how I can toggle the before and after to see what exaclty took place to put into practice. I Cons Their text to speech feature seems a bit off, it sounds like a robot and I really need to have a more natural voice since I am learning french. Translating marketing content is arduous but DeepL Pro makes it a bit easier. Pros DeepL Pro enables us access to real-time and accurate translations in a multitude of languages. This has not only saved us money on an agency to translate for us, but has also saved us time given that the native speakers have less editing to do once the content is translated. Cons One feature that would be nice is if you could save your top language preferences at the top of the language drop down to enable quick selection. Though, this is not too much of a burden when navigating options. Reason for choosing DeepL Pro We did not utilize a different product, but rather an agency. Initially as a student I use the normal version of Deepl which is free of cost and helps me a lot. After getting job into Schaeffler, I started using the pro version of the translation application. It helps me to write my reports and presentations and also it check my grammar thus it is an two in one software for me. To learn a language is quite difficult thing but to learn via such Platforms I'd quite interesting. My proficiency of German is actually getting better after using Deepl Pro. Cons Irrelevant notifications to get Deepl pro is annoying for me in my initial stages. I think that should be repaired as some of the students or professionals don't need pro version.
