Cons As with anything "cloud based" there's always a threat of shutdown when software is not "in house". There are also a few proxy authentication issues, however Microsoft has done an excellent job of breaking these down and suggesting solutions on the Microsoft website. And with less compatibility issues with Windows operating systems, I think this was the better application for me. Pros I love that Windows is equipped with a cloud based security tool which works well with windows unlike third party applications with compatibility issues. And constant debugging with constant updates gives higher security for users. And can monitor users, activities and behavior easily. Also with the latest updates security have been enhanced by identifying for suspicious user activity and advanced attacks. Cons Although microsoft defender for identity works great as a cloud based security tool, there are some complication when working with data outside the cloud.
