Pros MS Authenticator is my go to Authenticator app. I have no requirements for any others and this works great. Codes presented on one screen, search bar, slide to delete, password less support including number matching. It works well. It’s free. It’s well maintained by the world leading Microsoft. It’s bug free in my experience and biometric login makes it easy to use. Just look at it and your authenticating! Cons When you add a new code it says “scan work or school QR code” when that tool is used for code scanning not for work too. That’s it. Pros I like how easy it is to use the multi-factor authentication to login to Outlook once it has been set up. Cons Setting up a new phone with the authenticator to login to Outlook and Microsoft 365, can be challenging and it was not intuitive. I have needed to find videos on how to do this. It has all of the login details and codes in a quick and easy to reach location (once you sign in). No fluff, nothing unnecessary. Pros It's a very simple app that keeps my accounts and logins super secure. The fact that a lot of it is automated makes it a really nice app. I don't have to find the login code, but rather it takes me there when prompted directly. Cons There were some moments where the code that was given was not accepted. I needed to totally shut the app down and sign in again. This happened 3-4 times and caused delays in workflow. It supports password less login when needed, Multifactor authentication and approving sign-ins are quick and easy. Pros Microsoft Authenticator is great for providing a secure log in code. It's very fast, easy to use and makes approving sign-ins incredibly smooth. Cons On occasion Microsoft Authenticator has had some sync issues. It has never shown to be something major for us and seems to happen very rarely but that would be the one negative for us.
