The interface is clean and the app is easy to use (it may remember another popular authenticator app) and allows you to sign in to e.g. 365 services with additional security (in many cases 2FA is mandatory) but also on third party product (I use Microsoft Authenticator on Sonicwall Products as it is supported as TOTP). To create a new association, just follow the instructions on screen. If you have troubles or need additional information, you will easily find answers searching on internet. Upon signing onto my machine through VPN, I'm also then prompted to enter my passcode on my phone. The app is very easy to use. Basic, but does it's specific function flawlessly. Cons I have little bad to say about this tool. I guess the initial setup on my phone took some time, maybe 10-15 minutes. But this is a small price to pay for the added security. Cons In order to link your Microsoft account you need to scan a QR Code but in order to do that you have to find the option within the app which makes it a little hard to link it. When logging in again, it is mandatory to put a unique code that changes every 30 seconds. This offers a high security, and very effective. Even with my password, a third party will not be able to connect to my account without my authorization. Cons Despite the security offered by Microsoft Authenticator, there is still a difficulty to connect at the first use. You often have to scan a QR code, which is normally done with two cell phones.
