With it we gained independency from those solutions because we had our own that we had the flexibility to custom tailor for any situation. Environments behind firewalls, high security closed networks where only portable solutions could be used, we could get inventory data from anywhere using Rayventory solutions. We could go on and negotiate the implementation of the tool into areas that due to their sensitive nature were off-limits to any other means. After more than 5 years of use I can say that Rayventory is a safe and reliable tool. But it is not effortless nor plug and play and definitely not set and forget. However I can not emphasize enough how its best aspects are its flexibility and the vendor support behind it. With those I am yet to see a scenario it can not be tackled with. Pros Flexibility, customizability, solid performance, vendor support. Cons Lack of reporting and performance monitoring. But the tool was not designed to have those capabilities not for such a complex use case like ours at Roche.
