Strong internal verification was necessary, as several mistakes could have slipped into our GHG inventory. Something we had not anticipated. At times, it felt as though the team lacked either the experience or the bandwidth needed to deliver fully reliable outputs. That said, Greenly can be a workable solution if you are just beginning with GHG accounting and are prepared to dedicate significant internal time to reviewing data, validating results, and managing the process closely. However, if you expect a more streamlined experience or have limited resources to spend on verification, it may not be the right fit at this stage. The support team remained dedicated throughout, and the product has potential. Pros The customer support team was consistently professional, friendly, and responsive. They always made an effort to accommodate our requests and provided guidance with a positive attitude. While we did not require extensive customization of the software, they adapted well to the complex structure of our company. The platform is user friendly, nice to use and well made for most of it. Cons We encountered several instances where rework or additional verification was needed due to errors, some related to the platform itself, others to data transfer from Excel, and occasionally human mistakes. The platform evolves very quickly, which can be a strength, but in our case it often happened without sufficient notice and sometimes introduced unstable features. At times the platform was even unavailable, though it seems this issue has since been resolved. Data management could also be improved. We noticed inconsistencies such as positive amounts not being included in totals, incorrect currency handling, duplicate data, and categories inconsistently assigned emissions. Pros The Greenly team is very friendly, everyone is helpful, the tools and insights are valuable, and the team is responsive. Cons I think the process could be improved with clearer guidance during data collection and more tailored recommendations for smaller businesses. Pros Staff is friendly, knowledgeable and expedient whenever you have questions. In comparison with others, they go above and beyond to ensure that you understand every step of their process. Likewise, I love that they have such an extensive educational and climate-action library available for users. This allows us to have a robust plan for reducing emissions and taking actionable steps to make a difference. Cons My only negative is that sometimes the website is glitchy and results in areas of the dashboard being temporarily unavailable. However, this is only a small annoyance and doesn't impact my overall opinion of Greenly or their team.
