They PROACTIVELY reach out if they see you try something and it wasn't completed, to make sure you don't need assistance. Absolutely the best customer support I have ever seen. Pros I like that they are actually invested in helping nonprofits. They tailor their platform to the needs of non-profits. And they're just awesome people to work with! Cons NOTHING! There is absolutely NOTHING negative. I love Zeffy! I think more non-profits should use Zeffy! Switched from [PayPal](https://www.capterra.com/p/207944/PayPal/) CONSTANT 'updating' terms to the benefit of PayPal and the DETRIMENT of the nonprofit. Like charging their fees EVEN IF the donor was refunded. For example - an emergency fundraiser gets held for an animal needing urgent surgery. The animal dies and only a fraction of the cost is incurred so donors are offered to get their donations back. MOST will refuse and say put it towards the mission but often donors felt like they were just supporting THAT animal and ask for the money back. Not only does PayPal keep the TRANSACTION FEE (which I totally agree with that) but they keep the PERCENTAGE. If someone donates $1000, the fee is $20.80. So if the donor wants a refund, PayPal KEEPS that "percentage" even though 1.99% of $0 is $0. So the nonprofit PAYS $20 t PayPal for... nothing. Review Source DAVID C. Manager Non-Profit Organization Management Used the software for: 1-2 years ### "Saving Time and Money" January 29, 2026 5.0 Zeffy has been the major fundraising platform for The Llama Sanctuary since 2024 and it has made a huge difference to the administration. Previously, we used Mailchimp for email campaigns, Events for event booking and guided tours and separate fundraising platforms. All of that is now condensed into one entity making life so much easier and in the process, the amount of money saved in fees each year is enough to pay the feed bill for entire month! Oh! Did I mention it is absolutely free to use? Pros Zeffy is constantly improving, updating and enhancing the tools and the support team actually listens to requests and implements new features all the time. There has never been an issue with the finance aspect and The Llama Sanctuary can count on receiving a payout, on the dot, every week. Cons At the moment, Zeffy lacks some of the refinements and tools that bespoke email platforms, event organisers and online stores can offer. The email creation element is still a bit crude and clunky and site navigation can be counter-intuitive (to me at least). Zeffy promptly forwards the collected funds. Pros Efficiently collected the funds. We were looking for a system that would get us out of the check cashing business. April 8, 2026 5.0 Zeffy is a homerun for all non-profits! It's very easy to use. When you have questions, the staff is very responsive. You won't regret using Zeffy! Pros We currently use a paid CRM (which we are cancelling soon), and are converting all our records to Zeffy. We have used it for donations and for tickets so far. The ease of use is incredible. The platform actually does MORE than the one we have been paying for. It's so incredible that its FREE! Cons I really currently don't have any cons per say. They are continuously looking for ways to improve the platform, and are open for your feedback on what your needs are, so that's really all that matters! November 12, 2025 4.0 I’ve had a great experience switching to Zeffy and look forward to seeing what cool, free features they add next! Pros The fact that this product is free to use is incredible. Being able to process payments online so seamlessly without being charged an arm and a leg (in fact without being charged a cent!) is a fundraising game changer for small non-profits like ours! The interface is very user friendly, intuitive even, and extracting data from campaigns is quick and easy. With their new POS app that can be downloaded onto any phone, they’ve saved us the need to purchase a square reader: staff and volunteers can just download the app and begin scanning tickets or taking donations! Cons The product is still new so it doesn’t have quite as many features as other similar products. However, they are highly responsive to customer feedback and constantly adding new features to meet the evolving needs of the non-profit community. I love that the funds are automatically transferred on Mondays - no more manual transferring. Pros Well, no one can ignore the FREE part of their service. I am currently using them for 3 nonprofits of which I am treasurer: Hooksett Area Rotary Club, NH Gift-A-Meal, and Friends of the Hooksett Library. Zeffy is super easy to use, and we get to keep all of the donations. Setting up campaigns is very easy. Cons The initial setup is a bit tedious because of all the integrations you need to make with Stripe, but it's still very easy to do. April 30, 2026 4.0 I was a first timer using it, but it went so well that I would not hesitate to use it again or recommend it to my non-profit friends. The support was probably the biggest positive. The learning curve was probably the least favorite. Maybe AI will help them come up with a better, more automated system. I found myself asking myself, "How do I do that?" but again support was quick and helpful Pros Obviously, it was free. I was concerned and didn't really believe it, but it was true. They make their money from ticket buyers leaving a donation. It provided LOTS of feedback about your sales, your ticket purchasers and more. Cons The learning curve was a little steep for a first timer, but I can't say enough good things about the speed and quality of the support. One time, they even recorded and sent me a video of exactly how to solve my problem. Another time, they just fixed it for me! I think if they automated the signup process by asking you a list of questions and then have it set up for you, that would be good. It's a relief to be out from under the clunky and exorbitantly priced Eventbrite. Pros It's very simple to use, the interface is elegant, and the export options are excellent. With no fees it's also incredibly cost-effective at a time when every dollar counts. And we love that it's Canadian. Cons The automatic addition of a Zeffy donation is something it feels necessary to warn buyers about, but we haven't had any complaints. And the character cap on titles is a bit of a challenge for getting all the pertinent info in the bold type. It’s really quite user friendly and self explanatory though! Overall we have had a great experience! Pros Zeffy has LOTS of options for non profits. We are a new non profit that supports our small school district, and we weren’t really sure what we were doing when we started fundraising. So far Zeffy is the only thing we have used, so we don’t know any different and we will not be changing because it has everything we need! Love that it sends out tax receipts for us automatically. Love alllllll the amazing settings for hosting an event and selling tickets- whole tables, early bird tickets/tickets with different release dates, etc. So many options to customize it to just what you need. And most of all, it doesn’t cost us a DIME so that all of our funding goes right to our mission! The optional fees can sometimes confuse users, because you have to choose "other" instead of just saying "no". There are no hidden fees, which means 100% of donations go directly to support our mission. The platform is also very easy to use, both for our organization and for supporters, with simple setup, customizable event and donation pages, and clear reporting. It gives us the flexibility to run campaigns, sell tickets, and manage fundraising all in one place without sacrificing transparency. Cons I honestly did not encounter any issues while using Zeffy. From setup to implementation, the platform was smooth, user-friendly, and reliable. The features worked as expected, and I appreciated that there were no hidden fees, which allowed all contributions to directly support our mission. The donation and event management tools were intuitive, and both our organization and our supporters found the process simple and efficient. Because of this, I don’t have any negatives to report. I highly recommend Zeffy for any non-profit organization !!!!! It has allowed us to collect monies, which are automatically deposited into our linked financial institution relieving our Directors/Officers of this responsibility. Pros The free Zeffy platform for non-profits is an amazing product. My non-profit is very small with a small budget, and so the no-pay of any platform fees (including credit card surcharges on monies collected) is a real benefit. In 2026, our non-profit wanted to move forward where on-line payments and ticket sales could be collected and tracked for annual membership dues as well as for paid and/or free ticketed events. A few features, we would like to highlight: 1) Zeffy's platform allows Administrators to restrict access to information by user profile. For example, sensitive financial data can be restricted by user profile 2) On-line payments are securely processed through the STRIPE platform and 3) You don't need to have a computer background to use Zeffy. Initially, creating events and our membership form took several hours to create in Zeffy due to the learning curve, but Zeffy's on-line help, chat box, and personal emails all resolved any obstacles encountered. I am technically challenged, but I was able to get our non-profit up and running on the Zeffy Platform. Zeffy has the capability to create event QR codes , which can be downloaded and used on marketing media. The Zeffy support team is AMAZING! Cons Do not with to find any fault with Zeffy, but it would be nice if Zeffy had the capability to use fundraising event content to create marketing FLYERS ... that could be printed . As is, one must cut and past content from Zeffy and paste it into Word or other software to create flyers. Also, if a few standard financial reports could be made available versus having to export data, I would find helpful. Regardless, of my wishes, ZEFFY is a Fantastic Product for non-profits!!!! September 25, 2025 5.0 Pros I like that the setup is very easy. The ability to create multiple campaigns is very helpful. The step-by-step setup is intuitive and allows for a lot of creativity in the design. The donor management feature allows me to add manual contributions (checks or cash received in person) to the contributions received through Zeffy so my list is complete with ALL donors. Having automatic emails generated for Thank You's and tax receipts is a super time-saver. And all this is done while saving my non-profit money from credit card fees. There's nothing hidden and they respond to questions. Cons I can't think of anything I don't like. We also are doing online registrations for our annual reunion for the first time ever. Pros Very easy to learn and get set up and simple to modify. I love the ability to download data and use it any way you wish. Value for the money just can't be beat anywhere. There is nothing like this available elsewhere.
