I cannot remember the last time I didn’t have something to critic about a service or product. Pros 0% processing fees is huge. What makes the service stellar is that everyone and everything (platform, set up, forms, etc) I have worked with has been a breeze to interact with. The “pay to play” companies need to take some notes from Zeffy. Cons I’ll update this when I find something relevant… that they’re not a bank. When I see something, I’ll let them know because already know they want this experience to be the best. Support was great (once you get past the bot by typing "talk to a person" Pros Free transactions, and excellent support Cons The only thing that was slightly frustrating is talking to the chat bot for support, but once I learned that typing "talk to a person" got me an actual human, it was great from there. \[sensitive content hidden\] helped me right away. Every not-for-profit should know about and use them for fundraising. Pros The site is perfect for not-for-profits. Our auction was relatively easy to set up. The communication feature (with participants) was super-helpful. Live the tax letter option, too. Cons Wish one could edit pictures on the site. The standard square was a bit tricky and we had to set our auction up quickly so I didn't have time for find a workaround. Zeffy tried to think of all the things you would encounter using their software for events: like redundant emails, managing emails, testing emails etc. They deposited to my account in a timely manner like they said they would. Zeffy seems more like a boutique service which I like. Pros I used Zeffy for a small event of 60 people. I used the email communication and setup, payments, and invites. Cons I had about 10 people come for free and I didnt have time to figure out how to discount them on zeffy. The platform is easy to navigate and customer support is responsive and helpful. Pros Zeffy provides an ideal platform form for event registrations for my non-profit organizations. Setting up events and managing registrations is quick and easy. Registration forms can include custom questions which is essential for our events. The ability to accept optional donations has proven helpful. The fee structure which ensures our non-profit receives 100% of the proceeds from registrations and donations is terrific. Cons We experienced some challenges in setting up our payment processing through Stripe, but this seems to relate more to Stripe than Zeffy, and Zeffy support was helpful in resolving the issues. Deposits happen every Monday unless Monday is a federal holiday. Pros Zeffy is totally free. You must financially plan for your weekly deposits. Sharing is easy, tracking donations and donors is straightforward. Meanwhile, we're being stonewalled by PayPal and Venmo who don't seem to be particularly friendly toward non-profits. Pros Ability to collect donations FEE-FREE!!!!! Also, convenient payment options (so donors don't need a special app or account), easy to sign up, straightforward form creation, option to create multiple forms, and even more functionality that I haven't even explored yet. Cons Honestly I haven't encountered one yet. I would be interested to know if any donors have been opting to donate fees on top of their donations. From a customer service standpoint, they are very responsive when issues are raised, generally within 24 hours or less. Pros If you've used any other donation processing platform, Zeffy is pretty easy to navigate. They have a number of options for forms creation that should serve most, if not all, of the needs of a non-profit organization. I like that they also offer Tap-to-Pay. Cons The eCheck process is cumbersome if the donor wants to enter their bank information manually rather than allowing Stripe (their processor) to directly access their bank account. Also, it seems a bit disengenuous that they don't make it a little more obvious that paying the recommended fee is optional. Also, it's a bit cumbersome to find their FAQ pages both before and after signing in to our account. Review Source JD JUAN D. Cons In response to a request for help how donations were processed, they cancelled my account without any explanation. Left a mess with my donors.
