Much better than PayPal and others because of their transaction fees. The staff are helpful and friendly. Creating donation campaigns is very easy, and there are a lot of options when building them. Pros It's easy to use, saves us a lot of money in lost fees, and tracking payments is easy with Quickbooks online integration. Cons The only hindrance at the moment is not having the ability to send money to pay individuals or companies. I came across this platform trying to figure out a solution for nonprofits to reduce fees to accept digital payments. I found Zeffy and could not be happier. Pros Zeffy is a no brainer for any non profit. The fee elimination has saved us and our donors tens of thousands of dollars. The customer service is phenomenal and quick to respond, the campaign creation is seamless and intuitive and customizable, and I never worry about if or when we'll receive our funds. You can use it as a CRM to email your customer base if you'd like, and you can track so many performance metrics. Cons Can't say there's anything I don't like. Maybe that it's another platform to manage? But it's the one you should start with. The no fee platform, ease of use, responsiveness of their personnel, etc., have made it a 100% excellent experience and I would highly recommend Zeffy to any nonprofit. Pros No fees, ease of use, timely notices of incoming donations, automatic transfer of funds to our bank with notification of same. Friendly, knowledgeable and rapid response to questions and requests for information. Cons My experience with Zeffy for two different nonprofits has been absolutely flawless without a single problem of any kind. Thanks for providing the service. Pros It is genuinely free for us to use, funds are regularly transferred to our bank account automatically, and it was easy to set up. Verification was reasonably simple and quick, even though we are an unregistered charity. Cons Generally, we have not come across any downsides. The only possible answer to this question is the lack of ability to take donations by bank transfer, but if this were not a mandatory field it would not be worth mentioning. Pros It really supports a small nonprofit, like ours, to be able to access tools we would not be able to affort through other platforms, and they also response to support requests promptly and completely, helping to insure our success. They also offer many ideas for ways to make our fundraising campaign more successful and more appealing to possible donors. Cons Honestly, I found it super easy to use and helpful. I would say that it might be helpful to have their support guide easier to locate, but overall it is a wonderful tool! In other words, there are no barriers (eg, expense, tech complications, etc) I had to surmount! Since I have few resources, and no tech team, I VERY much appreciate the lack of barriers! My non-profit (EducationEquity Foundation, which provides free MCAT Prep to low-income underrepresented premeds, taught by peer tutors who recently scored VERY well on their own MCATs) hasn't yet pursued donations much, so I have little to add about its performance. I've heard its performance is great, but I haven't used it much. (So far, that is. I plan to step up our fundraising game this summer. Up to now, I've been focused mainly on developing content - the nonprofit was essentially a 1-man band \[ie, ME\], so it has had limited bandwidth. But now, volunteers have joined!) Cons It unintentionally shames me that I don't know more French.
