Wonderful! They have been extremely helpful and it does so much in this one program!

Pros

That EVERYTHING is in one program! How GREAT their customer service is and that they spent time with me walking me through how to do important things and even did a lot of it for me!!

Cons

I haven't found anything. Anything that I might have liked better in another program, I just sent to their team and hope it helps them create something even better.

The cost to add anything on to Procare to try to get close to what Playground offers was expensive. Their customer service was awful and I still had issues I had called about several times. They told me I didn't have access to something that I used every day and then told me I would need to pay extra to have access to something and I was paying the extra and still didn't have access.

There is nothing that I do not like about playground so far. My experience has been great from getting started to the very helpful zoom calls.

### "First time users of Playground"

Our experience has been mostly favorable, our families seem to like the platform and we are getting used to using it. Our onboarding was very comprehensive and we appreciated that as first time users of the program.

Pros

Everything is bundled into one place, Playground staff is very helpful. The app is very neat and clean.

Cons

We are not a typical childcare provider and thus some of our needs are different and that makes use kind of clunky.

Cons

Price is higher than average but worth it. Would love to see an option for payroll within a divided church/school.

Overall I love Playground, like I said earlier the customer service is the best I have experienced anywhere! For me the customer service experience supercedes anything that I want improved but they take suggestions and actually do change things if there are enough suggestions!

Pros

I like the customer service and helpfulness of the staff when help is needed! I have used other platforms and this is by far the most user friendly! I love that they listen to suggestions for improvement and actually do things to change it!

Cons

Honestly I don't have any real issues with Playground so if I have to choose something, it would have to be the billing portion as it is less friendly than other apps when you need to adjust the billing plan.

### "Overhyped but Underachieved "

So far it has been marginal at best, but it has a lot of features that are good ideas but not well thought out or executed. Playground is on the right track but needs to partner with high quality early learning centers that really use technology to operate their programs and would be able to give more insight on how they could potentially improve the platform. Children of Joy would love to do it because I see the potential in Playground and that's why I made the switch from a 30+ year established system and brand like Procare to a brand new company, relative to Procare, like Playground. I believe over time Playground will make the necessary adjustments that will put them in the lead as the number 1 recommended CCMS platform.

Pros

I like the idea of it being an all inclusive platform for the childcare industry.

Cons

The intuitiveness of the platform is subpar compared to Procare. The interface is lacking in esthetics and its just not a very comprehensive system to use. Expense feature is able to deliver on syncing my bank transactions.

So far, they have been EXTREMELY helpful and accommodating, going out of their way to answer my questions and look into adding some features. I love the one-on-one where we have video chat check-ins to see how I'm doing and if I have any questions.

Pros

There are so many features that are useful, some do not pertain to me, but I'm not burdened having to go through them.

Cons

It can be a little overwhelming, BUT see my description of the overall experience.

My overall experience has been very positive! I appreciate the attention to detail provided by the Playground team- it was so helpful that onboarding was thorough, and I have had quick responses any time I have a question. I am able to access communications and administrative functions easily and clearly.

Pros

Ease of use! We are able to easily communicate to families of children in our care. The ability to send photos is a great way to send evidence of learning home each day. I also really like how easy billing is through the Playground system.

Cons

Occasionally I have trouble remembering where some features are/have to search the help center to remember how to use certain functions.

We are very happy from making the switch from Curacubby to Playground. So much easier to use and a lot more features are included with no extra charges. The customer service is amazing and attentive.

Pros

User friendly, easy way to stay in contact with our parents, billing is pretty simple.

Cons

It creates two accounts if you are a staff and also either a parent/authorized pick-up guardian on a student enrolled, which in turn gives you two accounts. Sometimes parents message one of those accounts and we don't get the notifications for it. Reverse alphabetizing the student roster.

### "Big Fan! Would love for this app to become more popular in the mid west!"

I am a big fan, I live out in Minnesota and it is a little less popular here, but I do keep telling providers about it. The goal is for us home providers would love to find the simplest and easiest app and this one is by far been my favorite. I hope it becomes more popular here and our food program is added to it. I love that this software does not seem meant for centers but more in home providers also.

Pros

It is so user friendly and simplified. The support is always on the messages and ready to help with quick solutions.

Cons

There is a few things I have put in the request and suggestions that I am waiting for. I do with it was a bit more colorful and had color coded options for the calendar for providers to put vacation, holidays, etc in color sections. I would like to see a pop up memo for parents when they sign in and out. I would like to put my receipts in from my phone to make documenting easier and faster. Possibly training or news letters to customers for new features added. Being able to download licensing documents, like fire drills and storm drills and we could put dates in to simplify the paperwork and make it all digital.

Excellent! I have used several of these platforms and by far this has been the best designed, both in terms of billing and parent messaging. I am excited to start using the digital enrollment features next month.

Pros

Very intuitive software - so easy to figure out even as a brand new user. Many options for customization and highly supportive on-boarding process

Cons

No "grace period" while onboarding (billing starts immediately); a little pricier than the competitors, but worth it!

Playground has been a great expirience and customer service has always been great with answering questions.

Pros

I love that I can enter in what the kids eat, track diapers/potty. My favorite feature is the billing portion- I love that you can set invoices to send automatically and parents can choose to have their payments come out automatically also!

I don't have any complaints, this program works very well for my daycare.

Playground has been very helpful in my getting started and very quick to resolve any issue that I may have. Other programs I worked with it took days to get my issues resolve. Playground has any problems that I may have resolved within a matter of a few minutes. They truly care about their customers!

Pros

Playground offers attendance, invoicing, accounting, payroll, 24/7 assistance live chat, several ways to communicate with parents and for them to communicate back!

Cons

Nothing comes to mind! They are helpful in every aspect!

Playground offered more assistance and better programming. I can do all my accounting, invoicing, messaging, menu planning, combine attendance with KinderTrack, for those on State assistance, and take attendance all in one place!

Overall Playground has been a great choice for us to have changed over to. Being able to use one program has condensed files and time.

Pros

I love that I have such a big platform in one program. I was previously using a different program and I have had to also keep track of children's schedules on a separate calendar, filled spots and upcoming open spots on a spread sheet, when parents messaged on the app it would go to all staff members, with Playground.. it goes just to the person that it is meant for. And the parents have to option to message each other on the app as well so staff aren't the go between for messages and personal information doesn't have to be given. For staff, they are able to see just their schedules and not everyone else's. They are also able to keep track of their hours worked whereas the other program only let the administrator see that. We have been really enjoying this program.

Cons

Well as stated, we were using another program prior, that program would send staff and the parent a notification when child/ren were signed in or out of the program. It helped us to keep track and we wouldn't have to go into the app to check to see who or how many were signed in. Tracking monthly attendance, reports every sign in and out is displayed vs just giving the amount of days attended per child.

I read about Playground on a Facebook group, so I started investigating as to what features it had, and it had everything I was needing in one program vs trying to keep track on several different.
