### "Beautifully designed app"

I am a new family child care business and playground made it easy for my transition as a new business owner. My families love it too for communication and updates for their little ones while in my care.

Pros

Everything! My all time favorite part of the app is the on the way button. It really helps to give me an idea if the parent is on the way or running late for pickup or drop off.

Cons

At times the cost for the app hurts my small business finances.

### "Give it a Try you Won't be Disappointed!"

Playground staff are always available to help with questions, when they don't know something, they find out. If the system doesn't do it, they try to figure out how to make it happen! I have never worked with a software company so willing to make changes for the betterment of its customers.

Pros

Playground is a fantastic product that has streamlined my tasks for our center. I now have more time to devote to our teachers, children and families at our center.

Cons

The reports are sometimes tedious to create and learn, but once we gain proficiency, they will be very helpful.

### "Playground is the best choice in Childcare Management Programs/Apps"

Overall Playground has been a great choice for us to have changed over to. Being able to use one program has condensed files and time.

Pros

I love that I have such a big platform in one program. I was previously using a different program and I have had to also keep track of children's schedules on a separate calendar, filled spots and upcoming open spots on a spread sheet, when parents messaged on the app it would go to all staff members, with Playground.. it goes just to the person that it is meant for. And the parents have to option to message each other on the app as well so staff aren't the go between for messages and personal information doesn't have to be given. For staff, they are able to see just their schedules and not everyone else's. They are also able to keep track of their hours worked whereas the other program only let the administrator see that. We have been really enjoying this program.

Cons

Well as stated, we were using another program prior, that program would send staff and the parent a notification when child/ren were signed in or out of the program. It helped us to keep track and we wouldn't have to go into the app to check to see who or how many were signed in. Tracking monthly attendance, reports every sign in and out is displayed vs just giving the amount of days attended per child.

### "Great management system!"

I love it. We just built a new building and equipped it with the KISI locks. These have been amazing. We use it for billing, parent communication, newsletters, menus, etc. I am so glad to have found this system.

Pros

PG has really helped me to organize my center. I love the communication with parents, the ability to do newsletters, and mostly the lock integration.

Cons

I do wish it was easier to see student/staff scheduling in the app. As is, I do not use PG for staff scheduling for this reason. I need my staff to be able to see everyone's schedule, so it just doesn't make sense for me yet. The lock system is great, the only thing I would change is the fact that if staff uses their pin to enter/exit the building, it clocks them in/out each time. This did not work for us, so I created a "fake" staff member so we could all use the same pin. The only downside is that I have to change that every time a staff member leaves. It would be much easier just to have each staff use their own PIN and disable that when they no longer work here.

### "I always talk to my colleagues about Playground!!"

I am excited about playground because I find myslef actually using it. I am hoping to give the document aspect a try again and possible finding a middle ground for adding the bookkeeping part of our childcare. I would love to be able to add my own bank and it be a tab where I can organize my expenses. Playground is so close to being a one stop shop.

Pros

All in one software. It is extremely customizable. Customer service is prompt. When you book with \[sensitive content hidden\] she knows the software really well and she know exactly what you are talking about even if you do not know what you are asking.

Cons

I do think there is a learning curve. It is vastly different than anything i have ever used. I am positive one time a document was deleted that a parent filled out so I am concerned about using the document part as I do not want to bug parents to refill out the long forms. I wish there was an option to only send documents to only one student instead of it having to send to everyone. I have also been told wrong information from the chat box. I had to book a session with \[sensitive content hidden\] and she was able to show me exactly what do to. I am grateful for her.

My over all experience with the app has been great! We plan on using the app as long as our school is open.

Pros

I really like how everything that is needed, when it comes to the children in our care and their parents is all on the app. It has made being a new preschool owner/directer much easier process. Also the team at Playground is always very helpful.

Cons

Since I am not as tech savvy as I would like to be learning all the great features the app has is taking me longer than I would like.

Playground has been very helpful in my getting started and very quick to resolve any issue that I may have. Other programs I worked with it took days to get my issues resolve. Playground has any problems that I may have resolved within a matter of a few minutes. They truly care about their customers!

Pros

Playground offers attendance, invoicing, accounting, payroll, 24/7 assistance live chat, several ways to communicate with parents and for them to communicate back!

Cons

Nothing comes to mind! They are helpful in every aspect!

I came from 10 years of using a different app and heard this was the app I should be using from colleagues so I switched. When I was confused I was able to connect with playground staff within 24 hours (usually within 15 minutes on the chat function of the app. They want to make it the best app, and they work hard to make both the app and their customer service top notch. I’m so glad I joined the playground family!

Pros

The customer service! They are constantly working to make it better and more helpful. I especially think it’s great that you can schedule times where they can help you learn a part of the program. \[sensitive content hidden\] is fabulous!

Cons

I wish it connected to food program, but I know that it is something that they are working on. I wish that using the playground pay service was available with the turnaround that was quicker such as PayPal or bank transfer. I don’t use it because I can’t afford to wait for payment.

I love the layout and design and the easy to use features for everything grom creating a beautiful listing of my program and making it super easy for parents to enroll and pay. I also love how i can talk to a real person for customer support in a matter of minutes

Overall, it has been a great program. You cannot make the perfect program for everyone school. Each school runs differently but overall it has been great.

Pros

It functions well and has taken a lot off my plate when it comes to billing. We have been able to create it to function for us and our program. It took a little bit but we are making it work. I also appreciate the communication available to use through chat and video calls, \[sensitive content hidden\] has always been super helpful and quick to respond.

Cons

I think because it is a newer program they are still working on some development items but they are also continually working on pushing new things out and listening to their customers on what is an isn't important to us in a program.

The customer support is hands down, the absolute best! Our questions are answered with in 30 - 60 minutes and they are willing to have a video conference when needed. I love how this program is still developing and taking suggestions from us as customers.

Pros

The mobile app and being able to communicate with parents directly from the app. Everything is online. I love how easy it is to invoice and take payments.

Cons

There is a learning curve to using this program. But once we have it down, it's been great.

Had more of the options we were looking for and was more user friendly for us as administers.

Overall the experience I have had with the Playground employees have been excellent. \[sensitive content hidden\] was great helping me get all set up and has been great when I need additional help. \[sensitive content hidden\] is great on the chat is has been able to help me immediately when I have any issues.

Pros

Very user friendly, for a early childhood educator that is also a business owner it is so helpful to have all the bookkeeping and tracking in one place.

Cons

Only con is can find so far is there is not a place for visitors to sign in. I continue to have a paper log.

I really like playground. I can have it on my computer and the app on my phone on the go. I am starting small with my business and plan on keeping playground as I grow larger because it is really great and I can trust them with all of my needs.

Pros

The customer service is unmatched and SO helpful! Playground does EVERYTHING I would like it to do, an all in one hub for us!

Cons

It takes a bit of learning as any hub with all the gadgets would. I do wish the app had all the same toggles the computer interface has. However, the customer service manager you are assigned is quick and easy to get ahold of and can help you. If they are busy, someone else is always available too!

Pros

How "one stop shop" the app is for child care management and communication with parents. The ability to add multiple photos in one area for families to view and be able to caption are awesome. Also love how responsive the team is to questions, fixes, and updates.

Cons

Honestly, no major complaints. I looked at Brightwheel, have used ProCare and Playground beats them both. The functionality of the app and desktop site are terrific. I have a few personal quirks to work through but when I ask about it to the team, they either help with a solution or have suggestions page (that they USE!) to add future updates on!

Pros

Kiosk is my favorite for signing in kiddos.

30 min. appointments for my onine assistance me to understand how the invoice works to send billing to my childcare parents. For me understand the process.

The software's efficiency in data management allows us to focus on providing quality care and education without worrying about data security issues. Playground makes it easy to communicate with parents through its integrated messaging system. Sending updates, notifications, and daily reports is straightforward and efficient. Tracking attendance and managing billing is simplified with Playground. The automated system reduces errors and saves time, ensuring accurate records and timely payments.

Cons

Not many cons, however, the software is still being developed so it does lack some preferential features, but the team is working on it and in constant communication with your school to include features you need.

Sometimes the app can be a little slow, but usually as long as I close it out each night, this is not an issue.

Pros

I LOVE the waitlist feature and the paperwork feature for students and staff. Customer service is also very responsive and their interactive roadmap is a great transparent way to keep customers informed/involved in the creation of new features.

Cons

The scheduling side is a work in progress and we look forward to the day that it mimics many of the dedicated scheduling apps like When I Work, Homebase, etc.

Absolutely wonderful! We can not imagine running our business at all without playground!

Pros

I love that we are able to have a 1 stop shop for our entire paperwork needs for our center! We have been able to move every aspect of our business onto this system! We as well have our waitlist and all enrollment done online! NO more taking any waitlist information over the phone! We have those waitlist links directly on our social media and website!

Cons

So far nothing! Any issues that have came up were handled promptly by using the chat feature to speak with one of the creators of playground! Almost always it was user error something wasn't working :)

Reason for choosing Playground

We choose playground as it was more user friendly and we wanted to have the ability to approve posts and also shut off the function of parents chatting teachers. We only wanted admin to have chats with parents.

Overall, I have been quite pleased with my experience. It is nice to be able to have all student and staff information in one place. I am excited to try more features too!

Pros

I find that I can lessen my work load by using the features offered in Playground. I like how it is a time saver.

Cons

I wish I could set up multiple wages for employees for the payroll option. Some of our teachers act as lead teacher on some days and teacher assistant on other days. Currently, I manually have to write out which hours will be paid from which account and that adds an extra step.

Takes about a week and a half to get money pushed through from playground to my bank

Playground was a very good choice to change over to. I have really enjoyed using this platform.

Pros

Everything is so easy to use and if you have any issues the support team is very quick to respond.

Cons

Sometimes the teachers can not upload videos and they will send them to me and I will have to upload them.

Staff could clock in anywhere, even out of state, this caused a lot of time card fraud. The support would take days or weeks to contact us back. Playground was also cheaper and easier to use.
