The platform is robust and very flexible. You can build pathways that are open to anyone that has an interest in a topic or you can build a pathway to assign to a specific user group as required training. That flexibility is wonderfully! Pros I loved the ability to build our own customized learning pathways which could consist of content that existed on the Degreed platform or our own content in practically any format we chose. The flexibility is awesome. Cons I didn't like that we had to subscribe to different sets of content to get access to them on the Degreed platform. Inevitably, I would find a great piece of content in the catalog only to find it was not included in our current subscriptions. Pros The best attribute that Degreed offers, in my opinion is the Daily Learning Digest feature. Similar to a daily alert when searching for a job or apartment rental, each morning you have an email in your inbox suggesting various videos, courses, and articles that are relevant to your skill set. Cons While I enjoyed the many features the Degreed platform offered, at times it can become cumbersome or confusing when trying to access what you want. For example, it's difficult to differentiate between a pathway and a role family. Pros Degreed is really effective at organizing content and delivering it to employees in an engaging way. It also is easy to administer/support, especially by those with limited technical skills. Cons Degreed is like a smart TV, it's only as valuable as the content services you pay for to watch on the platform. So if your company has very little content, Degreed won't be a great choice compared to other similar products in the market. Being an LXP, its best suited at playing the role of middle-man between your employees and the content providers you use.
