Pros The best things which I like about Citrix Workspace is its ability to access a computer remotely for a long session time which allows companies to provide remote working opportunities to its employees. Cons Some of the apps like Microsoft Teams doesn't work properly like when someone is sharing the screen, it is not visible in the system with which we are accessing the desktop remotely. The experience is so great that it feels like we are accessing our own physical device as it supports almost all shortcuts. The support for multiple displays helps to be more productive which is one of the deal-breaking feature for me. It is highly secure as we have to enable 2 FA to be able to login into our remote desktop. Cons Currently, I am using Citrix workspace for development, so I would like to see Citrix optimized for the Linux system as well. I have to change the configuration in the system when installing the Citrix workspace app in Linux (Currently using Ubuntu 20.04). Sometimes the resolution doesn't match with the window size so I have to work on fullscreen mode. Switched from [TeamViewer ONE](https://www.capterra.com/p/194565/TeamViewer/) I faced lot latency and connection issue in teamviewer. Pros I like the access it provides to other apps around the hospital. its an easy way to connect through each hospital base or computer and bring over its files or information. Cons Not being able to close out with one simple click. it takes me to end task manually instead of letting the functions close all together. I have worked for two companies that don't have it and of course have adjusted, but it is the best option for medical practices in my opinion. I have colleagues who have used it along with other products and they share my thoughts as well, that citrix is superior. Pros It has everything all in one spot. Updates have been nearly seemless and even when the internet disconnects, it senses it and works on reconnecting within 5 mins. I know it is a bit more pricey, but it has such great value for all that you get. Cons Sometimes the updates for an app within citrix require you to restart your computer, so that can be tough if you are in the middle of working. In the past I had to go to the citrix site to download the latest version, but I think that issue has been corrected now. Pros I enjoyed how Citrix has various programs within the workspace that you can use. The program are very easy to use and contain helpful information. Pros I find it extremely helpful that Citrix allows me to have a workspace to perform database needs in a remote environment. Cons I think Citrix is honestly very clunky, and slow. If any issues come up, it is usually easy to work through and ultimately we have never had any major issue where Citrix didn't function properly. Teams quickly scale and it gives everyone peace of mind. Pros Citrix environment is familiar, it is very secure and it enables access to necessary systems, software and sensitive data. Almost everyone new that comes across a Citrix environment learns it quickly. It's easy to toggle between the Citrix Workspace and the typical Desktop but it locks down features like copy/paste between the two for security. Cons Sometimes if you have two Citrix environments running at the same time there can be problems. For example, when running Citrix on a thin client machine and then needing to launch a separate client-side Citrix environment to access particular information hosted on a client site, sometimes you'll see software stall out or not function well. When troubleshooting, the first question for the software is usually "Are you running Citrix?" and then they tell you they're working on a patch to fix known Citrix issues for the software. Pros Citrix workspace is quite easy to use. Our employees log onto the Citrix program to get onto the cloud environment. Software seems to be constantly updated. Seamless transitions between the local computer. File transfers available able to use printers scanners and peripherals without having to re install on cloud. Cons minor lags and timeouts (Could be our infrastructure) ive had reports of Keyboard not properly synchronizing causing errors or in severe cases complete random characters when typing (havent experienced it recently). Reason for choosing Citrix Workspace Was recommended to us as a good software packag. It's made the transition during the pandemic doable for my entire company. Pros I like how I'm able to access my company's remote server on any one of my computers and anywhere in the world. Cons It is spotty and at times, it says I'm logged in but doesn't fully log in. The app doesn't work on my Mac or Dell so I always have to log in through a web browser. I thought it was just the one organizations wi-fi, but now that I have started a new job and they too use this product and have similar issues I see it is the product! Pros Nothing I would not recommend this product at all. Cons I have used Citrix at two large organizations. At both companies the same thing happens. You get this disconnect from server error. Pros What I like mostly about this software is that it makes communicating between different individual across the organization very easy and simple. Its a great toll to use to monitor employees that work offsite, it tells the idle time and/or time spent away from the computer. Its great to share files across departments as well which can be edited and made available to pertinent individuals. Cons It uses a virtual computer which may be a contributory factor as to the reason why it slows down throughout the day. Pros I like everything that Citrix is capable of doing. It is the main program that I use each day to enter students, calculate their graduation date, and keep track of placement data. Our company uses this program very often. Cons The program crashes at least once a day. Everyone in my company experiences this problem and it can be very frustrating to be in the middle of work and then lose it and have to open the program and start over.
