Easy board collaboration" May 3, 2024 5.0 From coming from an in house sharepoint disaster it was nice to find something that everyone could use from the start with minimal training. Pros The interface is easy enough for board members to navigate it on their own. Support has been very responsive. Cons If I had to nit pick, the way boardable default displays .pdf's is not to my liking. The too is easy to use so scheduling meeting and collaboration of members is excellent. I like that this tool helps the board members work more efficiently which has led to high productivity in the company. Pros Boardable has great features that that gives value for our money. It makes board management easy and efficient which promotes to high productivity as board members are able to collaborate with efficiency. The tool is very easy to navigate so new users do not need much team to navigate. Cons Boardable has been an excellent tool in board management for the company. Board Member Civic & Social Organization Used the software for: 2+ years ### "A terrible cancellation experience" December 10, 2025 3.0 Our biggest issue with Boardable came when we decided not to renew. Boardable requires 30 days’ notice of cancellation before your subscription runs out, so be wary. Your renewal date is at least 30 days before your actual renewal date. Additionally, our subscription increased 20.5% year over year, though Boardable did not mention it. If you don't compare it to your previous year's subscription, you will be blind to the increase. Boardable's renewal policy seems inconsistent with good-faith renewal provisions. Pros Boardable was our first Board Management tool and we found it helpful. It was great to pull together an Agenda and have all the supporting documents in one place. Minute taking was a breeze before the AI minutes. Cons Boardable is pricey for Canadian Charities, given that it must be paid in US funds. (1) The video functionality was spotty. (2) Minutes were not searchable within the program. (3) There was no record of decisions or one place to have all our minutes. We found processes to be very clunky. Review Source TB Tonia B. Pros we can have internal and external users in one place. all documentation and schedules can be in one place for everyone to review. Cons It took some time to figure out how to navigate the site. The learning curve was a bit challenging but we did overcome this. The video conferencing wasn't for us. Pros It is really easy to set up my meetings and collaborate with colleagues on agendas, minutes and board packs prior to the meetings. Some of our board members are a little older and not too comfortable with technology, but they have no issues accessing what they need. Cons We tried the video conferencing once and found it glitchy and reverted back to Teams. We have hybrid meetings, and it was just easier to stick to Teams which we have had no issues with. Any issues, tech support has been able to work them out. Pros Boardable's recent updates have made the functionality more uaer friendly. I love the agenda and being able to attend specific documents to the agenda items. Cons There should be an "Audit" option. Ease of use: Boardable is clean and uncluttered, making it relatively easy for even non-tech-savvy board members to pick up and use. Good pricing: there's a range of pricing models that make it accessible for even a micro-business. Pros Boardable is clean and uncluttered. That makes it relatively easy for my board and committee members to pick up and use. From a strategic perspective, Boardable captures everything that's important in my boards' business in one place, so that it can easily be passed on to the next generation of the board. Good for succession planning. I now use Boardable for 5 different organizations, and I find switching from one to the other really simple. Boardable's responsiveness is just terrific. Because I am based in Australia, any queries I have are usually responded to overnight. Cons When I onboard a new director, it's not always easy to ensure they have access to previous documents and discussions. Also, the inhouse video option didn't work well for me - but then that's probably because we are based in Australia. Fortunately we can still choose to use Zoom, which works well for us. Pros The ability to have a file sharing platform for employees working remotely. Cons Improvements are constantly being made, which is great, but users are not given the option to turn some things on and off. If you don't like something, you are told there is no way for you to opt out of using it. Reason for choosing Boardable The group we had working on selecting a product thought Boardable was more user friendly than the others we were looking at, but that it was not as admin friendly as others. Pros We have been using Boardable for a year now. It is incredibly easy to use, and has a clean, uncluttered interface. When our CEO started using it to create meetings, agendas, and documents, I expected a lot of questions to help her through the process. Instead, she immediately was able to use it without help. It's that intuitive. Almost all of our board members signed up right away; they are now able to see meeting documents \*before\* they show up at the meeting. The phone app is still new, but so far I'm very impressed. Cons No complaints. Boardable does not have all the bells and whistles of some of their competition, but we're a local not-for-profit. We don't need those features (nor do we wish to pay for them). Reason for choosing Boardable Boardable had the best and simplest interface. Good experience with their staff. I really like using the scheduler to find a meeting date instead of having to us another program to do that. They are constantly evolving and building enhancements to the software making it very easy to use and intuitive. I like the security features that allow each group to only see information pertaining to their particular group. This helps to ensure that sensitive documents are secure within the software. Members of our board love how the software is self-explanatory and easy to navigate through. The transition from our old software was very well received because of this. Cons There are still a couple enhancements that I would like to see, but their customer service team is very open to hearing new ideas that will ultimately help everyone using the software. I also love that I can segment them based on committee's or initiatives to keep the 'lines clear' on only information pertinant to what they're involved in. Pros As we have moved to a paperless office Boardable has proven to be an excellent programme in support of that strategy. The software itself is also a great platform - the meeting scheduling tool in particular is ideal, alongside the goals section. I am excited to use the minute-maker functionality - should it work like the agenda maker, I know it'll be brilliant. Cons Perhaps where the software lacks is the calendar integration tool - as Outlook users, we have run into a couple of bugs, but our account manager has been incredible in seeking solutions for us, and for that I am grateful. Note that the video conference tool is also in beta, but the Boardable team is working diligently to enhance its service. June 12, 2018 5.0 Easier board management and consolidation of processes. Pros Lots of features that are incredibly functional. Calendar is very clean and easy to use specifically when it comes to checking who has replied yes to the meeting invite. Polls are helpful when tracking board decisions. File management is incredibly useful when giving access to Board members to past files and minutes. We also upload audio files of past meetings making it incredibly easy for members that miss meetings to stay engaged. Easy to control members and invites easily adding groups to calendar invites and sharing files. Cons With most upstart tech companies they are building the software through customer recommendations. Which means the product is a work in progress and does not have total functionality right now. They are doing a great job updating and adding features but it takes time. Cons The calendar feature should be enhanced so that meetings within all groups can be viewed by the entire board of directors...not just those within a particular group. It really helps organize and streamline communication." September 20, 2017 5.0 Pros Boardable allows members to communicate in between meetings, which means that work isn't solely done at meetings, but also in the interim. Everything is only one or two clicks away and new users are able to access all the content they need through the easily navigable system. Instead of clogging up your inbox, communication is archived through the Boardable platform. Working with other board management software, Boardable is by far the most user-friendly and attractive to use. Cons Because Boardable hasn't even been up and running for even a year, sometimes bugs occur. However, the Boardable team is always so quick and diligent about responding to feedback and improving their product to make it the most efficient, most impactful software for its clients.
