I hold iContact in very high regard, particularly because of it's customer service. The strategic advisors are very helpful and attentive; they always respond quickly and helpfully.

Pros

I love the template builder functionality and that it's still an option to use the HTML Template builder. Our CRM is very particular about the types of email templates we can send out of it and iContact has helped us navigate this issue. It's very easy to train people in and to build eye-catching templates.

Cons

I would prefer to have larger subscriber limits and I would prefer to be able to do functional HTML file exports for certain templates. I also think the reporting data has a lot of blindspots. I would also like to be able to make template copies across user folders without having to enlist my strategic advisor's help.

Cons

The site appears to be sluggish at times. Navigating past emails can be cumbersome as the only way to track back is linearly.

Learnt a lot about e-mail marketing by using the software. The software performed well considering that e-mail marketing is not as popular as social media marketing.

Pros

The ability to check clicks and opens against contacts in the reports. Attachments are accommodated. There is a template designer. iContact also provides support and consultancy calls.

Cons

You are unable to share a live report. No geolocation. It is difficult to match contacts with lists as well as no telephone numbers for follow up in the open and clicks report. The pros far outweigh the cons.

You can then export the segment containing the phone numbers and all other available information. Hopefully this helps speed up your process!

It's cheap, neat, it's easy to use and gets the job done! When we used we could create a large and high-quality database of clients. We could also manage a lot of email marketing campaign with a large number of people with personalized content, and the ROI was huge.

Pros

It's really cheap, easy to use and it works with no problems at all. We had it for almost 3 years and never experienced an error, bug or anything else that could have resulted in a bad case scenario for us. Also, the customer support team is really kind and considerate.

Cons

It doesn't have too much space for customization, and the templates are kinda plain. Also, the new interface was really delayed in comparison to its competition that already had drag an drop customization and a large number of quality templates. It also lacks quality analytics reports (it's really basic) and it's short of integrations with some CRMs.

I love iContact for many different reasons but here I will make it simple. They make my emails look amazing and they make creating those amazing emails super easy. Because of that I am able to look super professional and not spend all day on one email. They also have great features as well

Pros

The thing I like the most about iContact is that they make email marketing easy and fun to do. My emails have never looked so good and its all because of them. The professionalism of each email because of their awesome templates are top notch. I highly recommend them

Cons

I wish they had a few more features to play with

Pros

It is a fairly intuitive experience using iContact, though their new interface took some getting used to. Now that I know where to find what I need, it makes more sense. Customer service is helpful and generally responsive.

Cons

I wish their support were more accessible on weekends and holidays, since that is always when issues tend to happen!

Pros

I love the new functionality! the drag and drop makes creating a new email simple and easy which is great since some store owners are not technically savvy. I can't wait for the next release of software.

Cons

The reporting could be more robust instead of a list of every person that clicked, I would like to see the link with the number of clicks and be able to click on the number to see who clicked. The dashboard would be easier to view if it was set up as rows so you can see more than 3 campaigns. In addition to have the ability to copy a campaign from the dashboard instead of having to go into Emails > Sent. When trying to change the font color, the theme colors show, but not any standard colors. So when you want to change the font to black, you have to go into the color chart to select black. As with any software, it has it's qwerks, but it's nice to now that iContact is actively enhancing the software.

We keep in touch with our established customers on a bi-monthly basis with iContact, informing them of current specials and product development. We benefit from having an engaged and informed customer base.

Pros

iContact's customer support is top notch and separates their product from the rest of the pack. I also appreciate the company's continual drive to improve their offering.

Cons

iContact's metrics are somewhat limited. The interface can occasionally be buggy while composing emails in html mode. The way the product tracks number of contacts is confusing and inconsistent.

It makes sending out our monthly newsletters far easier than our previous ESP ever did and the email templates are incredibly useful.

Pros

The dashboard lays out all of the most important stats about your most resend email sends and the workflows have an intuitive analytics view that lets you see the performance of your workflows between any date range

Cons

The workflows will often freeze up if they contain too many steps which can sometimes cause something small like switching out email templates last longer than desired.

Pros

iContact is super intuitive and easy to use, and with every update, more. I rarely have issues with the software, but when I do, my advisor is always available and is quick to help with solutions. He also has helped us increase our opens and clicks exponentially.

Cons

The only con I have is that there isn't a way to export Survey reports as a pdf. There's a workaround, but that would make my life just a little easier.

### "As Easy as using a DND Website Builder"

iContact wasn't the best email campaign manager when I fist started using it several years ago, but it has since developed into a great program that is equal to its competitors in every feature that I utilize.

Pros

The new templates are super easy to use and make for very easy team collaboration, even when members of a team are very inexperienced with iContact.

Cons

iContact doesn't have the name recognition that Constant Contact has or even Wordpress to some extent. Thus, I do run into problems trying to convince others that iContact works just as well (and in some cases, better) than those others.

I like that it does make e-mailing mass lists easy, you can do A/B testing or whatnot, and customize a campaign.

Cons

I wish there was more flexibility in the design side. It felt very rigid with everything, and limited mobility.

It keeps us in touch with our clients with ease and for a good price.

Pros

The customer service. It is always excellent and they go above and beyond to help. Day/Evening whatever, I've gotten great service. I use them for my employer for over 5 years, but I was also volunteering for a small non-profit group that had a tiny budget. Their salesperson was fantastic setting us up with what we needed for little money, and thinking about what we might need for the future. I was really impressed. When I have had questions or the rare problem they helped right away, either on chat or the phone.

Cons

Perhaps they might not be as fancy as other companies, but redesigning our newsletters isn't something we do often, so we might not be taking advantage of all the new stuff they have put in place.

Consolidates many things into one easy package. Allows time for other projects.

Pros

The simplicity of the software is easily its' greatest strength. Whether we want to quickly set up a generic template email or take our time creating something fully customized, it works wonderfully. It also easily allows us to keep track of our customer base with separate email lists.

Cons

Further customization options would be great. A little more control as to the size of images appearing within the email. A very minor detail missed.

We are able to send more than 1 million emails per month at an affordable cost with a high delivery rate. All we could ask for!

Pros

Ease of use. Robust options. High delivery rate. Excellent customer support. I've been a customer for over 10 years and have never had a significant complaint.

Cons

I have no significant complaints about iContact. The costs they list on their website are a little high, but I have always found them willing to negotiate. I wish they have more options in sending test emails, but what they have is adequate.

You can allow this program to deal with emails instead of answering each on yourself. It's really a wonderful program and a huge help with your email returns. Your customers will appreciate it.

Pros

After your subscribers fill out their initial application, icontact goes to work. I like that it can be busy contacting people while you are busy elsewhere. It's easy to use, but the customer support is there if you need it. The prices are competitive with other likewise sites.

Cons

It's better for the medium or high volume businesses. Smaller businesses might not see the full abilities for this program.

We've had to contact support a couple of times and they have been helpful. The level we purchased isn't a comprehensive marketing solution. But we came back to it after having trouble with ClickDimensions, it actually works better.

Pros

When I want to send out an email, I go into my list of prior emails, make changes, and send. It's very easy. It has all of the functionality we need for sending out bulk emails.

Cons

The editor is a bit clunky. It does take a bit of time to create a new email format. Sometimes it doesn't behave like it is supposed to. But once you save that new format you can use it over and over.

We kept losing data with ClickDimensions, it wasn't stable for the 3+ years we used it. We tried to help them fix their software but spent more time resolving issues than using the product. Quick easy and fun email marketing

Pros

Email builder is easy to use, lists are easy to set up, autoresponders and welcome messages are easy to set up. Really like the design

Cons

Social Media list building could be better, sometimes the messages are sent to spam boxes so that is kind of annoying, but majority of subscribers do end up with messages and the emails look so nice that our unsubscribe numbers are much lower than other email marketing sites we've used

Great deliverability to inboxes and easy set up and import of contacts! I don't have to worry about going to people's spam or junk box.

Pros

I like that you are easily able to create HTML emails and if you don't know HTML, they have ready-made templates that you can use where you can just plug and send. I also like the rate of deliver where emails are going to inboxes and not junk mail - makes for better metrics when you look at opens and clicks.

Cons

The ability to copy and paste a URL to create a new HTML message does not always work/format the way I'd like sometimes, but I do like that ability.

Pros

The platform is user friendly for people who aren't as versed in HTML. You're able to easily create tables/borders. The service is relatively fast. We pay for an account so we have an account manager that is able to assist us whenever we need.

Cons

Their new drag/drop platform isn't able to create any template you'd like so we have to continue using our old templates.

Great templates to help present your advertising and information in a way that is not too cluttered for the recipients to read.

Cons

we attempted to use this as a marketing and communication tool with our ongoing clients, but clients have been quick to unsubscribe, leaving them to miss important updates.

\- Support when transitioning from previous ESP - User friendly templates and editors - Ease of admin functionalities - Ability to view across devices

\-Headache to send first deployment - getting contacts verified even though they're not purchased. iContact using an email data validation tool to check credibility would be easier for us and quicker.

Pros

The value and relative ease of use is solid and above the competitors.

Cons

iContact does not have a means for someone to re-sign up if they have unsubscribed. They must contact customer service for assistance and it is not clear that this is necessary. Very cumbersome and not user friendly at all.
