### "Pretty sacrificed with the email service"

Pros

Easy to use for the most part. Makes my emails look clean and precise. I like that it shows the amount of recipients in each listing when I am about to send an email.

Cons

I wish I could upload multiple lists at one time. Sometimes when I edit the email the html gets confused and moves my text to the very top of the screen. The only way I have found to fix this is hitting enter multiple times.

I have better track-ability then ever before and I can tell sponsors exactly how many our our members are opening and clicking on our email messaging.

Pros

I need to engage my members - particularly young members - in a fast, eye-catching format. iContact allows me to create quality messaging with minimal effort. I love the ability to track clicks and see what members are gravitating too.

Cons

There is a bit of a learning curve when it comes to designing email messages. I have design background but it took a bit of practice to get the look I wanted.

### "Efficient and Excellent Price Point"

It's been good and I have been going back and forth between MailChimp. I do prefer iContact for the pricing but the template creation could bump up it's game a little bit.

Pros

I think adding in contacts, whether it be one or several, is very easy. I love that it weeds out the duplicates for me, especially with the system I have to copy and paste the contact info from.

Cons

The software doesn't work right in Google Chrome which is slightly inconvenient since I work out of Chrome 99% of the day. I have to use Microsoft Edge to use the software correctly. And the templates, while nice they can be strict and unforgiving. The spacing in between Enter's is a little large and out of control too. And the issue with not posting a picture to the Facebook anymore is beyond annoying. I have to take the archived URL and then put that into Facebook and then I can input a picture. It was better when they made it look like an article on Facebook.

Its the functionality and the ease of using the application. A lot of email applications are tough to use and templates are not easily changed, but iContact makes navigation and use of templates super easy.

Pros

The templates are easy to use and manipulate. The other great thing about iContact is how easy it is to navigate the different sections of the application, as well as quickly view the statistics for your emails.

Cons

I wish they had more in depth reporting that could be done on the user level. Also, I wish their was a quick way to delete old lists that still linger in the application

Pros

I really like the templates and how easy it is to use this platform. The cost is minimal and you can integrate with so many other platforms. Even with the new laws and restrictions with sending email, etc. this platform is ideal for bulk email usage.

Cons

I honestly cannot think of any cons. I have enjoyed using this product and will continue to do so as it meets my marketing needs.

A great customer service team and a simple way to reach our audience via email!

Pros

Honestly, the customer service is what makes this software one of my favorite email marketing tools. Being able to strategize and focus in on the health of our subscriber lists is something that we would never have considered or addressed without the iContact support team. The software itself is great and has definitely improved over the last few years and we expect for it to only continuing improving. Offering multiple modern layouts that are simple to pull together makes making emails a breeze. Would recommend iContact over and over again.

Cons

Some of the functionalities are a little off and can be frustrating trying to get unique layouts to line up just how you want them to - I recommend sticking to the intended layouts and don't try to overdo your email as you may run into technical difficulties.

Pros

The ease of use, improvements made over the last year to make building campaigns more effective. Also the access to support if I need it is great. The cost is perfect for what we need it to do.

Cons

When building large workflows and automation, the system tends to bog down and respond slowly, causing the total work time to increase. Support offered to help build the specific automation in question, which was very nice, but not needed.

Pros

iContact is one of the less expensive professional email/contact management tools. It still has a substantial expense, but it does have greater functionality. Merging lists is easy as is sending out emails.

Cons

I don't like that they count a contact as part of your contact list for as many lists as they are on - so it is the same email address on 3 lists (say they subscribe to more than 1 product or attend more than 1 event, they are counted towards 3 of your contacts and that can add up quickly). It makes it very hard to segment your lists or if you do you have to increase your plan and there fore pay more. As a small business fees are very important and keeping costs low if necessary.

Use to be WONDERFUL but now not very satisfied

Pros

You can make professional looking flyers with lots of flexibility on what you want on the flyer

Cons

It use to be very user friendly with lots of great templates and customer service was exceptional but now we can never get anyone on the phone to help and it is quite difficult to use. I ended up hiring a graphic artist

Learned how to use the system efficiently.

Pros

For someone who is not trained in CRM / email marketing, I enjoy using the new visualiser. We are currently in the process of revamping our templates (since I've joined our company, we have only used the old template which wasn't very user-friendly). So using both old and new templates, it has improved a lot and has been such a breeze! Also, great customer service recovery even though we are on different time zones.

Cons

24-hour service will be great for companies who are in different parts of the world, but not complaining. There are a few glitches in the application but maybe that is because of the old version.

Pros

Ease of use and up time. Emails get delivered and social media integration is Great. The tracking tools give great feedback. Contact management is easy to use when adding and deleting contacts and creating groups.

Cons

Needs more created templates for quick editing and use. When it comes to contacts and subscriber counts, subscribers who have opted out is counted in total number of subscribers in the pricing of various plans. I understand that those subscribers have to be stored to block unwanted email but you shouldn't be penalized by counting them as part of the number of subscribers in your plan. Only active subscribers should be counted in that number.

It is so important not only to communicate with your contacts, but to actually see how effective that communication was. Thank you for the feedback about how subscribers are counted. Hopefully we can clear up any confusion related to this number. Our standard iContact plans charge based on the number of subscribers in your account. Contacts who have opted out of your messages are still listed on your Contacts page, and even counted in your total number of contacts. However, only the contacts who can actually receive emails (subscribers) are counted for pricing purposes. Thank you so much for choosing iContact!

### "Old and reliable, more expensive than newer software"

Pros

This software has been around for so long that it is like the grandmother of email and crv systems. I see it less and less, though. They are generous to non-profits, too.

Cons

It is so much more expensive than other management systems nowadays, but if you're a bigger operation, that may still be worth it.

Their staff are very helpful and readily available for assistance. The most recent update to the interface was great and made the system a bit more user-friendly.

Cons

When you navigate to Sent emails it defaults to the Drafts view which seems impractical. If I'm looking for sent messages, I want to go to the actually sent messages.

we are keeping our church members informed. many are elderly and find our e-mails informative and easy to read.

Pros

I inherited this task from a retiring volunteer. The ease of passing the job from one to another was great. I copy reuse & recreate and get my weekly information to members without spending a lot of time. I can set up , go on vacation and have another person update and add any information needed while I am gone. The spam check results in minimum recipients that have our email in the spam box.

Cons

Having difficulty managing old e-mails that are in the data base. Not sure what happens when some one un-subscribes but wanted to get e-mails. (confirmations on unsubscribing?)

Lots of functionality in communicating with our member base as well as our broader base of contacts. Keeps us in front of those we are targeting with our information.

Pros

I like the ease of selecting all or just some contact lists for individualized messages. Formatting is easy, and you can switch seamlessly between HTML and Design mode while working on your message. Customer service has always been very responsive anytime I have had a problem or question.

Cons

The one thing I wish I could do is edit images within the document if the sizing is not quite right. If they can ever get this functionality going, it will be perfect!

### "Left ASAP, Didn't Look Back"

It was my first email marketing software, so I learned about it. Now that I have my own marketing company, I know not to use it.

Pros

Our emails were professional-looking. I liked being able to do the email marketing for more than one company, and everything was kept separately.

Cons

Their customer service was nonexistent. It was faster for me to either ignore the issue or find my own solution before they would respond, sometimes days later. The number of templates are few. You can only schedule to a couple of social media platforms, you have to schedule them separately, and they still adhere to the old Twitter character limit. We paid more to get more, and our "dedicated account rep" would only speak to us once a month for exactly 30 minutes. Not worth the money. We switched companies and paid less, and their customer service department contacts me once a week, just to check in. Our deliverability is higher, too. Customers that had a "bad mailbox" according to iContact are calling us, delighted to get our emails again.

Pros

Ease of interface. The recently introduced dashboard feature is great for obtaining vital information at a glance.

Cons

I'd like to see an easier to use, more modular editor with the templates. Some other services I also use have automated this process more.

Pros

Without a doubt the customer support and strategic advisory team is the best attribute. Along with the simple to read and understand analytics.

Cons

The technology of the product s great but it does have its limitations, sometimes mislabeling a mistake in action by a no email marketing savvy person as an intentional malicious error. That is the price to pay for automation as it errs on the side of safety. Fortunately the support staff is always willing to help

Overall, iContact is great for sending our mass emails to our guests and we will continue to use for years to come.

Pros

iContact is great for companies who need to send out mass emails to their guests and customers. It's fairly easy to learn and has a variety of different features to use.

Cons

The one main con for this software is that it loads very slow. If you are looking to draft and email, it takes about 3 minutes for the landing page to load. 3 minutes might not seem that long, but when you have to draft numerous emails, it adds up.

Pros

It is rather quick and easy to use once you get the hang of things. The inter phase is very clean and organized.

Cons

You can't always adjust formatting easily if it is just little spacing issues it isn't as easy as dragging a line up a few pixels, but it is much more complicated and much more of a headache.
