Pros: Menu, pricing and the profit maximizer as I call it, the quality of your repair is represented by the service repair order and the finished final product and valuable service you give your customers. Knowing that you give your customers a fair price and make a fair profit for your business. GenesisFour allows me to do both and the service descriptions details are great for representing that value to my customers.

Cons: Not sure I could point any out, over the years we continue to look at other software solutions and haven't found anything better.

Overall: We were working long hours and doing a great job for our customers, but we weren't making enough profit to sustain staying in business even with $800k in gross revenue. when I started looking for a solution, I hired a consultant who told me I needed a better way to measure the real numbers and profit in my business. he recommended GenesisFour. We tarted using GenesisFour and in the first 30 days our sales and profit increased and the customers where happy.

Pros: I do have to say that the developers of this software are genius! Customer rep. has more knowledge in his little finger than any IT person I've ever come across. Not only that, but he's like a friend to us although we've never met. The office staff is a pleasure to talk to and keep up with all the clients needs.

Cons: We have several custom needs in our operating software so it would serve us better to have more customizable fields/reporting.

Pros: The software is easy to use and good for small shops.

Cons: GenesisFour does not improve the product. They offer the option to pay for improvements, which we did upfront and they never completed the improvement. Another shop owner told me NEVER pay Fred upfront for anything, but it was too late. We are switching software. Fred is dishonest. For a small shop, this software will be fine.

Overall: As I said, for a small shop the product is fine, but Fred is dishonest and I would use a paper system before I used GenesisFour corporation.

I am sorry for all the problems you are currently having with our software ServiceShop¿. As a customer for the past 22 years communication is the key to our business relationship and that communication has deteriorated. To this point please accept my apology, I am sorry.
To your explicated complaint of not getting your pre-paid enhancement fulfilled, again I am sorry and a refund is in the mail.

I understand that you wish to find another software vendor but I would be remiss if I didn¿t let you know that ServiceShop¿ can be configured for small shop (1-5 technician), medium sized shops (6-15 technicians), and large shops (15 to 50 technicians). Training with proper configuration may just be the best decision.

Comments: Very nice, responsive, bright small team who never let us down. Service Shop is the heart of our business and must work flawlessly, which it does almost 100% of the time . When there are inevitable problems due to operating system, network, or the hardware on which it's installed, the team responds and we are rescued in a timely manner. The system does everything a small shop like ours requires, and there are data export capabilities to send data to other products (Quickbooks for A/P, CRM programs, etc) for anything it doesn't handle. Easy to use. Highly recommended.
