### "Authorized to use authorize.net"

June 10, 2025

4.0

I feel that my overall experience with authorize.net has been positive. When I first began using this product, I needed some customer support on an issue and they were so quick to respond and they let me know that they would be available 24/7 to help with any other questions that I may have. You can't beat customer service like that.

Pros

I like that I am not held to a contract if it didn't work as I expected. Luckily, it works just as I need it to but that was a big factor in using authorize.net. I am glad I made that investment

Cons

I think having to pay a monthly gateway fee is a con but not enough of a con to keep me from using this service.

### "Trustworthy high value freight transactions."

January 15, 2026

5.0

This is a nightmare industry to get a chargeback on a coast-to-coast transport job. I rely on this gateway since it is solid secure. It can cope with our day-to-day traffic without stuttering despite the arrangement having a retro feel to the early internet days compared to today’s contenders.

Pros

The fraud detecting package makes me feel comfortable when handling large credit card payments done by new shippers I have never done business with before.

Cons

The user interface is so outdated, and it is impossible to navigate through the backend settings with the required number of clicks. The monthly gateway charges are accumulated within a short period even in months when our transaction volume is low.

### "Secure online payments and transfers for export operations."

November 8, 2025

5.0

With this, our team is able to process safe payments and manage accounts with fewer errors, bringing more speed and confidence to our export operations.

Pros

Authorize.net gives us strong security for global transactions, plus simple account management and clear fees. The transferring of money to clients and partners is highly reliable; it assists in avoiding fraud issues.

Cons

Account settings and updating staff permissions took some getting used to when dealing with a bigger team. Managing fees and multiple accounts is confusing at first.

### "Good Stripe alternative for Woocommerce "

December 11, 2025

Good! With the good rates, and integration by SkyVerge for WooCommerce I can definitely recommend authorize.net

Pros

API access is great and there are paid plugins that make integrating with WooCommerce very easy. The also have low fees

Cons

Their merchant UI is very outdated. It’s hard to find things and it’s small and hard to read sometimes. Looks like it was built in the 90s and never updated.

### "Enabled us to create slick and professional invoices."

June 6, 2025

4.0

It eased up our credit card processing, time for transaction and manual mistakes became less. We now do our monthly books in less time and with better results.

Pros

The thing I love about it is how easy Authorize. net checks in with our invoicing software. It is dependable for customer payments, especially recurring billing for long-term B2B customers. The fraud detection tools also provide peace of mind.

Cons

The interface feels a little dated, and reporting tools could be more user-friendly. It can be a little time consuming to make custom financial summaries sometimes.

Overall the experience is the system is not only cost effective but has greatly helped with money transfers and being able to account for them.

Pros

Very streamlined service for payment confirmation and authorization. Highly recommended for property management to ensure all payment details are securely kept in a centralized location.

Cons

The interface can be a bit outdated at times and requested system updates are not as quick as we would like. Can be a bit of a learning curve in the beginning due to the interface.

### "Top class for USA payment solutions"

April 17, 2025

5.0

Authorise.net is so powerful that even their resellers built top class payment solutions for end users like me who have clients that want to use authorise.net to access USA payments.

Pros

Ease of integrating USA based payments through their reseller paysafe which allowed us eChecks payment as the business was expanding to USA

Cons

It was not easy at first to get through to paysafe as a business operating in Europe we had to go through a reseller who then answered all our questions.

### "Holds Funds like PayPal Does - Avoid. "

December 3, 2019

2.0

I'm not saying that Authorize.net does not work for everybody. But the digital marketer is in particular I would steer clear because it has the same issues that PayPal exhibits were sometimes a hold your funds for no reason and you have to fight to get them. Youre flagged as high risk I was a customer with Authorize.net for about three months and I was approved for ACH bank transfers by their credit team. I put two of them through and all of a sudden my bank transfer account was shut down and they didn't tell me why other than my account was deemed high-risk by their bank and no matter what I did it would never be reopened ever. To my knowledge the only thing that makes it high-risk is that I charged about $5k in two days - Which I told the underwriter team was my norm before I signed up. They knew how much money I would be processing each month. They also told me that my business model wasn't elibigile for bank transfers. My clients couldn't even ask for a refund. All they could do was dispute the charges that were on hold and if they did that it would hurt my account and my credit. To this day they still have about $4400 of my money that I will not get until the end of January if my account is in good standing. Well I shut down the account and moved over to QuickBooks so hopefully I get paid. Again I'm doing recurring bank transfers with my client so this might not be the case for everybody and this might be great for credit card transactions.

Pros

It was very easy to set up recurring payments and sync with my webmaster.

Cons

\- The UI is extremely outdated and looks like it's from the early 2000s. - Your invoices are not customizable and they look tacky - Navigating around the menu is not user-friendly as finding where you're trying to go and can be difficult - Customer support is not the greatest and sometimes I can't help you with your problems or get back to you in a timely matter

### "It's been great for our business"

November 26, 2018

5.0

Authorize.net has been super simple and straight forward to use. I've been able to cancel a charge that was made in error before it even hit a card. I get full details of who is purchasing and how much. I can look up transactions easily. It's been a great second backup system for us as far as credit card records. It's been very easy to implement on our website and we've been very happy.

Pros

I have loved using Authorize.net. Often I have to go back thru our credit card records to check how much was charged or how much was refunded. It's great to be able to look up via credit card number or names. Customer service has always been excellent whenever I've needed to contact them. I also like that I'm able to run reports of all of our transactions when I'm trying to compartmentalized different amounts and categories. It works well with our registration system.

Cons

I wish that we were able to issue refunds after the 3 month period. I know we can lose some of our security measures to allow our system to automatically refund but we don't want to do that. Instead we take the cc number and manually enter it into a different refund system for those return that are past 3 months. I think the security issue is a mandated issue and there is not much Authorize can do. I do wish the downloads went to a simpler to read excel format but I tend to take the CSV file and do what I need to do to make it work.

Pros

Payment processing is very streamlined as it is very easy for customers and merchants to manage payments and it sync very well with different accounting softwares

Cons

The Payment processing time is very long I think. It takes some time to post the payment, but this sometimes depends on banks as well.

### "My go to payment processor"

December 4, 2019

5.0

Overall, highly recommended. We've never had any serious issues with Authorize.Net's service.

Pros

We have been using Authorize.Net for years on our customer eCommerce sites. Setup is easy and payments are secure.

Cons

If a problem arises, our customers normally contact Authorize directly by phone. They won't usually respond to me directly since I am not the account holder. As the IT contact for our customers, it would be nice to more easily be able to contact Authorize without having to go through the customer for technical issues.

We have been using Authorize.net for over 10 years with no complaints. We use it strictly for online credit card processing both manually and on our website. The website is super easy to use and navigate. We recently added the fraud detection suite to our account that Authorize has available. We are very happy with the results and the filters you are able to place to control fraudulent activity.

Cons

### "Good Solution If You Don't Want Built In Payment Providers"

August 25, 2022

5.0

Overall, I've always had a pretty good experience with Authorize.net

Pros

It's pretty much a one click install now with most major e-commerce providers. It gives you plenty of anti-fraud settings, and is easy to find payments and see all transactions / attempted transactions

Cons

The overall UX design is pretty rough, it feels like it was designed 15 years ago and has never been updated. That's purely aesthetic though. Rates are decent, although it's hard to compete with some of hosted eCommerce single percentage rates for all cards.
