Have used it numerous times instead of bank transfers, and its dead simple, easy and reliable to use. Withdrawal of cash to bank account was quick and easy. Opening up a new account was equally easy. Cons none for this product. All the required feature sets are there and work reliably. Pros I consider Venmo one of the most reliable, easy and fast ways to transfer funds, it is a simple but well known platform that has earned its place. It simplifies the transfers so that in a couple of steps it's already done. I often go to Venmo. You just need to download it, and that's it, no requirements or complications. Quick payments at all times. It's free, there is no charge to send money and you don't get monthly service bills. Venmo has been helpful to my personal and work life. Cons At this moment I can't think of anything bad about this service, it has been good and safe. It would be good if Venmo extended its coverage to other countries besides the United States. It's interface is relatively intuitive, and should be easy to navigate even for non-advanced users. Requesting funds and paying for services can be done in a few button clicks, which is nice for needing to make speedy payments, such as during a Facebook Marketplace exchange. The only potential downside is the "social media feed" element. As long as you are okay with your friends seeing your transactions, this is a no-brainer tool! Their customer service is very prompt and is very helpful. and the most important thing is its QUICK. In my life anything that makes it QUICKER is what I love! Pros I like the ease of use of Venmo. It is probably my most preferred payment app at the moment and I like it much better than ones such as Paypal. I compare Venmo to Facebook pay a lot, even though it's not the same thing. Mainly because Facebook is integrated with Venmo. I like how I can be checking my facebook and I can just put Venmo in the search bar and it will take me right there and it's super quick and easy. Cons I personally don't like how public everything is with Venmo. When I go to the Venmo app page through Facebook, it shows me all the recent people making transfers lately. In my opinion, that's just a feature that is not needed because someone somewhere is going to find a way to use that knowledge for Fraud. Not saying the app is susceptible to fraud at all. Very user friendly. Money changes hands IMMEDIATELY and effectively. Makes for easy transfers in or out of my bank account and customer service is AMAZING. Customer Service is also available through chat, and I LOVE that! Cons not EVERYone I work with uses it. Most do, but not all. Some still have the perception that PayPal is more secure, not knowing the connection between the two. Cons It was a little tricky to set up all of the payment options with our software, but once we figured it out it was easy to use. Perhaps it could be a bit more user friendly. Pros I really do love using venmo instead of PayPal. It's much quicker to complete a transaction, the UI is better, and I personally can't stand PayPal's customer service so I will take any opportunity to use venmo instead. Cons The only negative thing I can say about venmo is that your transactions are public by default which just seems dumb to me from a security perspective. I would recommend Venmo because it is the cashless payment method of the future. It is used for business as well as personal. Making payments and receiving payments is easy. Pros I am impressed with the security that Venmo has when dealing with money. The Venmo cash card is exemplary for shopping. There is also business Venmo as well as personal. I particularly like the fact that you can include all of your friends and contacts with this app. I not only like the fact that I can save money in my wallet but I can go completely cashless with whatever I am doing with a Venmo Cash Card. Cons One of the cons of Venmo is that all of your friends, family and contacts can see every time you receive money. Also, you are not able to purchase cryptocurrency in Venmo. You can look at strangers' activity or add your friends and follow each other. See what you guys spend money on, the comments you leave. You make it fun. This app is fun. I enjoy it the social aspect of it! Cons Its kind of crazy how everything you pay for is public for a stranger to see on the general feed. You can privatize your transactions but not that big of a deal. Still the aspect of "social media" transactions app is kind of weird. I don't like people seeing who I pay and stalk my friends. Also, Venmo is a convenient way to send and receive money to your friends. Cons I wish Venmo was an option for payment on all online websites and not just some. Cons The thing that I like least about Venmo is the fact that my account is no longer able to pay using an existing Venmo account balance. Pros The pros of this software is that it makes it easy to pay friends and family for whatever you owe them, as well as making requests for money they owe you. While some dislike the public, social media like announcements of who of your friends paid who and granted it kind of violates privacy, I make a big joke out of it by putting funny things as the reason I'm paying a person. Cons Like others, I dislike the social media aspect of it. It really is nobody's business who I've paid recently. But as I said, I make jokes with it and that's fun. Pros Venmo is extremely easy to use and easy to transfer funds from the app to your bank account. Almost every payment transfer comes at the earliest possible day when using the “no fee” transfer. Though I'm not super excited to share my stuff, it's fun to see whom my friends are paying to! Cons I didn't like the default feature of sharing my transaction with my friends. Glad that there is a private/public option that I found later. Sometimes I didn't find my friends' accounts by their phone number. Maybe email address is used as the primary key here. Pros I love the ease of use. I really value the ability to search by someones phone number and the latest 2 factor helps to ensure that transaction are secure and intentional. Finding other users can some times be challenging thus they have simplified every step of sending money digitally. Cons I do not like that there are fees for sending money with a Credit Card. Another thing I do not like about the platform is the inability to cancel a transaction. Now a days everyone has smart phones and with that comes the ability to easily send money to your friends. At restaurants 1 person can pay to make it easier on the waiter, and everyone else can IMMEDIATELY pay the person who paid back. Genius. Cons There is a lot more that can be done with the app to make it be useful for restaurants. I think that being able to pay for your food on app's like doordash, using venmo is game changing. Although we had PayPal, we saw Venmo, and instantly fell in love with just how easy it was to send and request money. It does everything we would need! Pros Venmo, a product of PayPal, allows users to send money from peer to peer. Although it does the same as PayPal, I enjoy using Venmo as well just because it is much easier to use on the phone than PayPal. Venmo is marketed as a product that people use to pay each other back for items, and its interface proves exactly that. Venmo is a social media that allows users to pay each other back easily, even showcasing a feed of your contacts purchases. Overall, an amazing and necessary app for the 21st century! Cons Although it is nice that Venmo has a social feed, at times I wonder if it's even necessary. Many of my friends don't even seem to acknowledge the social feed, and only use it to leave funny notes here and there. However, I don't think they should do anything to change that, as I've come to love it, and it makes Venmo a part of what Venmo is.
