Pros The pros to venmo are ease of use and quick payment processing. I love how easy it is to use!!!!!!!! Cons The only con to venmo that I can think of is people being able to use it to set up fake accounts and scam. I have used it both for personal and business purposes. Pros I like the fact that it is extremely user friendly, instant & that you can connect with anyone easily. Cons What I like least about Venmo is that you can accidently sent money to the wrong person, I do feel like there should be a better verifying system. Functionality is good and fleshed out, having all features I need. Pros Very good app for making payments and receiving money. Great value for money as it is free. Very easy to use for credit card payments towards small businesses. Customer support was great when bugs and issues arose. Cons App did have a few minor bugs that did not affect functionality. January 7, 2025 5.0 I think they are super easy to use. Set up is easy. Entering payment methods is also quite easy. I haven't had an issue with any part of using venmo, it's come in handy many times. Pros It is easy to set up and manage payment options. It's also easy to switch between business and personal profiles. Searching for contacts to pay or send money to is also quite easy. Cons The only thing I would change is no fee for instant transfers, however I can totally understand why they have a fee. I use a bank account where there is no fee to transfer and it usually deposits within 24 hours so it's not a long process. I find it kind of strange that I can see my friends payments though. Not a problem, just kind of strange. I use it to pay friends or receive money from friends that I transfer to my bank account. Pros It's very easy and many people I know use it. It makes splitting a bill very easy. I also like that I can see my transactions and don't have to rely on just my memory. Cons Sometimes the QU scan to pay does not work - I was recently at a farmer's market and had a heck of a time finding a tool that would easily let me pay vendors. Review Source CJ Caroline J. This app allows our organization to collect donations while we are at community events. Pros The ease of supporters to make donations to our cause while at a community event. All of the younger supporters want to use Venmo, especially on college campuses. Cons The difficulty in integrating the donor information into our database. Cons The fee that's charged for instant transfer. You can directly send money to friends and also use it to purchase goods and services at a variety of businesses. Venmo is easy to use, allows storage of multiple credit cards, and is free of annoying bugs or issues. Cons Although Venmo connects with online banking accounts, it requires more steps compared to Zelle and other services that are directly available via online banking systems. Review Source TK Tim K. Pros It’s easy to use and I am able to pay people without having my cash or card on me. I just go on the app on my phone, quick and easy. Cons I don’t like that if I have a balance on there I can’t pay with my card instead of the balance. I also don’t like that you can’t use the balance and your card in the same payment. Venmo is the app I suggest to my grandparents and anyone else who is not super tech savvy. Pros Definitely the easiest most convenient way to transfer money over the phone. Simple to use. Very safe. And one of the only ones that allow you to transfer money from your account without having a debit card on file. Cons Not really a lot of cons. The updates about who is paying who that you know are kind of weird. My coworkers and I get coffee or lunch from shops often, and we can easily pay each other back. Overall, this app has made things so easy! Pros It’s so easy to send and receive money. The app buttons are easy to find, and I can send my family and friends money within seconds. Cons I set it up for my mom, and it was a little difficult for her with matching the small deposits with her bank account. I've also never had a problem with my account being compromised like I've encountered on other payment apps. Pros What I like most about Venmo is its convenience. Cons What I like least about Venmo is the fees for instant transfers because they can add up quickly. If I opt for standard bank transfers, there can be delays in bank transfers.
