Pros How you can add personal messages to your transfers and you can see what friends add to their transactions Cons I think Venmo has a lot of unreached markets that they could start using. Make it more like a bank! Have credit cards. High interest savings accounts. Maybe add stocks along with their crypto currencies. Pros Venmo is a great tool for tracking and collecting payments. My tenants and I use Venmo to process and track monthly rental payments. Venmo allows payments to be processes quickly with ease. The system is easy to use and provides a history of payments. You can track dates along with payment amounts easily with Venmo. Cons I simply cannot find a negative aspect using the Venmo app. So easy to use and keeps both the sender and receiver in great communications If there is one thing that I would change, (not that it is a negative) I would like to see a way to decline a payment sent. Pros With Venmo I never have to hand cash to anyone. If someone has covered me for lunch or I need to get paid for my tutoring gig, Venmo is the perfect app. It's easy to use, you can connect it to multiple cards/bank accounts, and it's free. Because it's basically ubiquitous at this point I don't ever have to pay cash to other people. Cons Transferring funds from your Venmo account to your credit card (but not bank accounts) does take a couple days but I've only ever done this once so it's barely been an inconvenience. I use it for personal exchanges but mostly for freelance writing and art that I do. There are no fees for either side of the transaction. It's really easy to link to others and keep them on for future payments. It works just as well on the computer, but it's more app driven and works better as an App. Cons Honestly, by cons are petty, but they are there so here's a few, but this is a truly good product. I wish there was as much features on the computer version as there is on the App. Invoices look a bit more messy than say Square. While it is easy to find those you are working on a transaction with, like payments or payment requests I've had situations were people sent funds meant for me to someone else's email. Pros Ease of use is definitely the biggest selling point for the app. I like the "fun"and emoji-forward interface. I like the updated privacy settings. I also quite like IRS is not onto it just yet so i can tip service workers knowing they get every cent of it. i also appreciate how it normalized smaller transactions, that previously had a social stigma around it (eg. splitting a coffee bill etc) Cons Even though more businesses are introducing venmo into their accepted payment options it still doesnt have the rep of a serious money business app. I don't necessarily dislike that, as i dont want it to turn into another paypal, but would like to see it accepted in more smaller mom and pop shops for in person payments. I have had no problem using this or feeling that it is unsafe or anything else. Cons The only con I have found is the processing funds to an actual linked bank account. It takes 1-3 business days. It's the standard of the world right now, and it doesn't hurt to have a Venmo account in your back pocket. Pros Venmo feels good to use. I've used other products for sending money, but Venmo has been a staple for my money transactions. It's a great products to use amongst friends, since majority of mines use Venmo for various things. Also, having the friends list helps me out the most, and it feels safer when I send money. Cons The overlay is a bit plain, but it's understandable. Also, I'm not a fan of seeing everyone's activity. Yes it helps to know how much the world is using Venmo, but it's not my favorite part of the app. Switched from [Cash App](https://www.capterra.com/p/246167/Cash-App/) CashApp is a great product, don't get me wrong, but I've found out that Venmo is more common amongst everyone that I was doing business and hanging around throughout the past few years. I use direct deposit for those funds and then Venmo to send out commissions and payments to our contractors and 1099's. The speed of payment and ease of use is critical to keep the various parts of our small business going. Venmo makes it easy to pay people, and to keep track of those payments when we pull the info into our bookkeeping software. Simple and easy. Pros This is a simple and easy to use app on my phone that integrates with our bookkeeping software. Cons Some contractors haven't signed up for the app yet, which makes paying them take longer. Pros What I like most about vemmo is how easy it is to send coworkers and friends money for lunches or to simply pay someone back. Safe way to send and receive money. I also enjoy how similar it is to a social media app. You can make your activities private if you don't want people to see what your friends are doing. You can view what your friends are doing. Not only have I used this software in my professional life, but also use it in my personal life to pay babysitters, hairstylists, or split a restaurant bill among friends. Pros As a provider of service and a SMB owner, cash flow (liquidity) is KING! So the ability to collect funds and get paid for your service so quick and easy is a life saver. You no longer have to hear the excuse "I forgot my wallet at home" or "I'll drop a check in the mail", yuck! Sending and receiving funds could not be easier. Thank you Venmo for all that you do! Cons I've yet to come across an aspect of the software that I am not fond of. The free bank transfers hit my account very fast and the instant payment is such a low cost. Not complaints here. They really need to take out the home feature that allows you to see everyone else's payments. They also need to come up with better ways to connect an account than just a phone number or at least have a system where it can be disconnected from a number easily. Pros I like that it is super easy to use and connect accounts to. Easy way to pay individuals for personal use. Cons Why do I need to see every contact in my phones Venmo payments? I don't need to know that Pat got paid for cosplay on Monday. The home feature is completely pointless and honestly feels invasive. I also wish there was other ways to connect that didn't totally depend on a phone number. People change phones and numbers all the time. It makes it difficult to disconnect a number once it's been set up, especially if you don't know the person that had that number previously. Reliability and user-friendliness are important features when it comes to programs/products and Venmo has it! Pros When this app first launched I was a little critical about the privacy of making payments and a stranger seeing the payments, but after I found out you can change the privacy setting I decided to give it a try. Conclusion? LOVE IT! It's user-friendly, interactive, and fast! Transferring funds to your bank account generally takes about 1-2 business days, so can't complain about that. I would recommend this app to anyone! I have, as a matter of fact, convinced a colleague to download the app and she now LOVES it. Cons No complaints about this software at all!
