Since this is one of the products by paypal, its support is also good. Pros Sending and receiving money to or from anyone is absolutely seamless with this tool. Integration of it in your website is also not so difficult if your company allows your customers to pay through paypal. Cons Its Default privacy setting is a major downside with this tool as it makes your payment history visible to the world. Scammers can take an advantage of it. As of today while writing this review, It does not support international transactions, i.e. one can make a transaction in one currency and receive its equivalent amount in another currency at recipient end. I got more ways to get payed from my oversees clients so this has been a bonus for me. Pros First of all, Venmo works worldwide. Second of all, it is the coolest online payment system I have ever used without compromising on security at all. Lastly, you get paid $5 for recruiting new users onto their platform. There is a new promotion that they are running were you can get $10 added to your PayPal account provided you do not have one and you create one with the same email address you used to open your Venmo with. When I got out to eat with colleagues, friends, or family and one person pays for the bill, Venmo makes it easy to pay the person back. Pros Venmo provides an easy way to pay or receive money from friends, family, colleagues, etc. The interface is easy to use and transferring money from your bank into your Venmo is a simple process. It is also a good way to collect money for fundraising. Cons There are not really any cons to Venmo. The only con that could be said is that the transactions between individuals are set to public. However, you can change it to private. Moreover, since the app came out I have been using the server well over a few years, I can say hands down that Venmo is great to pay other people, request money from other people, or even break the tab in however many people are responsible to pay for the cost, its safe to use, I can add Money to Venmo wallet which then I can use it to pay others, or add a debit card. Venmo is completely free to use there is charge or using. I like using Venmo its the best way to pay me friends and family and actually much much safer to use as well. Moreover, Venmo app design and UI is easier to follow around the app. Once I pay my friends on Venmo I can publish on the feed of what good I paid my friends for and Venmo never shares or posts the amount paid which is an awesome feature within their app. The Updates for Venmo are great as well making sure that the app had the latest fixes for bugs. The QR code makes it extremely easy to find people. Cons I cannot think of much. I guess the only suggestion I would give is for the company to come up with something that is easier for people to split a purchase. For instance, when two customers wants to buy a product, there should be an easy way for the customers to first buy the product and be able to split the purchase half way directly. Very convenient kind of software. Cons It's a struggle sometimes to find the person you are looking for on Venmo because they are so many people using it. I think the system could be a bit more organized when it comes to finding the right people you need to interact with. June 4, 2021 5.0 Overall Venmo is an excellent way to send and receive money, although it lacks the professionalism of Paypal or other services due to a lack of features and the fact that it is mostly used between friends. That said, Venmo has an excellent mobile app that is easy to use, and certain companies may find that valuable. Pros Venmo is incredibly convenient for sending money to friends and family. It can be used on your phone through their elegant mobile app that makes sending money very easy to do. I sold a product to a friend who had forgotten to bring their wallet because they had Venmo on them. Cons While Venmo is a great app for sending money, it is geared towards small transactions between friends and does not have a professional vibe. Personally, when doing business, I think that Paypal is more friendly for small companies that still want an easy way to send and receive money. That said, Venmo has a better mobile experience. I love this for transferring between family members and friends when there has been an exchange of goods. I also love that some businesses take this as a form of payment now! Just the other day, I purchased a cake from someone with this app! Pros I love this app and I tell everyone about it! It’s so easy to use! You have multiple ways of searching for the person you are trying to pay or receive money from. I love that you can request money as well and not just send payments. That’s great from a business perspective of sending an invoice of sorts. Cons I don’t like fees. So it’s a bummer that there’s a fee for quick transfers. But, that’s also really the bank requesting that, so it’s understandable. Switched from [PayPal](https://www.capterra.com/p/207944/PayPal/) I only use PayPal now if someone doesn’t have Venmo. Beyond that watching the feed to see what my friends, family and clients are up to is amusing. Social elements are very novel. Easy enough for even my parents to use. Very little technological confusion here. Cons Small fees for transactions, though they're within reason and competitive with alternatives. It's allowed me to cut down on the time to move money and fulfill obligations personally and professionally. Pros I love the ease of installation, ease of use, the user-friendly app, the ability to link accounts and find people on my contact list. The immediately of funds availability is life-changing. I like the ability to send small amounts and the lack of fees. I like the interface and the ability to send notes and even emojis. I like the ability to set the privacy settings so a transaction is not public. Cons There are times when I feel the public feed gives too much personal information about some of the people on my friends or contact list are sending money to each other. It gives everyone the fair opportunity to pitch in and be paid back in full. Pros Venmo solves the age-old problem of splitting costs. Whether you are pitching in on a group expense at work or dividing a bill among family members, Venmo makes this so easy and efficient. You can charge or pay another user right away. At work, we have had one person purchase a group gift, for example, and be able to evenly split the cost between the rest of the team via Venmo. Cons The money that sits in your Venmo account sometimes feels like free money! But it is easy to transfer this back to your account, or use it to pay someone back in a future exchange. We use it mostly for food and drinks with friends or at work (have someone order doordash for everyone and pay them back through Venmo) or collecting fantasy football league fees, etc. Pros This is hands down the best software I have used to sending and receiving money from friends, family, etc. I used Paypal, Zelle, and a few other products, but definitely prefer Venmo. My wife and I use this at least a few times a week (it can make splitting a bill or paying someone back so much easier). Cons The only issues I've run into with this software is that occasionally the connection you create with your bank account or debit card will fail, causing you to have to go back and reconnect it manually. It's not the end of the world, but it's happened enough that it's mildly inconvenient. Simple, uncluttered screens make transactions a breeze. A very user-friendly app. I've been using and trusting PayPal for more than a decade, and I feel equally safe using Venmo, knowing it's one of their products. Cons I'm not particularly fond of the emojis they seem to encourage you to use, but that's just a personal preference. I'm not typically much of an emoji user anywhere. I also don't care anything about seeing the transactions of my contacts. Maybe there's a way to turn those off that I just haven't found yet. Pros The thing I like the most about Venmo is that is an app that makes it easier for us as a company or business to pay our employees or even our clients can pay through that app, is easy and fast, because it is connected to your bank account. Cons There is nothing I dislike about Venmo the only thing is that sometimes the payments take a little bit to process depending on the internet or celular data but that would be it, it is excellent.
