It makes going out easy and paying friends easy. Pros Easy to use. It's really easy to link accounts and aslo fun to use. The captions are entertaining and in a way it makes paying people like a social media. Cons Cons are that sometimes it's not easy to submit a specific amount of money, you can make mistakes. Sometimes the auto correct for captioning the payment is annoying. Pros My business survivors on Venmo as POS platform. 80% of my transactions are conducted on Venmo. Most of my customers prefer to pay on Venmo. Pros I use Venmo as a quick supplement to payments. It is very easy to award contractors with bonuses via Venmo. Cons I can think of no immediate cons about using this software. Cons This isn't necessarily a con, but users should note to be aware of the social media component of the product, especially independent businesses who may operate on Venmo - like psychologists, landlords, etc. since the nature of some of these transactions can be sensitive and clients might prefer that remain confidential. I cannot remember I time when I did not use it. I would recommend everyone to use this for their businesses and personal use. It is easy to transfer money from person to person and into your bank account or you can get the Venmo card. Pros I use this software for personal use of sending money. When I sell items on Facebook Marketplace I receive my money from Venmo from the buyer. I also use it to send my sister money quickly. We live on opposite ends of the country from each other. I also use it when going out with friends or have gatherings and everyone sends money to one person. It is quick and easy to use and the money gets to the person quickly. Cons The only issue I have is that people can see your transaction history. I am not sure if there is way to not show that or not, but I do not care to see why people are sending money. The ease of use, both as a payer and a payee coupled with the quick turnaround of bank deposits set it apart from all the other payment apps. Cons I dislike how informal memos can be. I would love to see the availability of a 'business memo' that does not allow for emojis, possibly even a dropdown of pre-written memos that customers can choose from rather than giving them free reign to write whatever. Previously it was mainly used to pay friends, or family. However, now I can pay small business, can pay with a venmo card, and even get into crypto. Overall a great Value for everything that it does Pros I enjoyed the ease of being able to transfer money. I’ve been using it forever and have never had an issue with it. Pretty much everyone else I know uses it too so that makes it super easy. Pros I’ve been using Venmo for probably over eight years. It’s a great and easy way to pay anyone and everyone just by using their username. I love some of the safety features it had as well as the Venmo debit card that makes paying with your Venmo balance a breeze. Cons The only concern I have with Venmo is it security features. I’ve had a few friends whose Venmo has been hacked and all of their money and their Venmo account has been taken - it’s a little scary knowing that it’s connected to your bank account and these things can happen. Also to collect funds for organising parties, or gifts for someone. Pros ease of use, quickness of transaction, allowing for money to be available fast , user friendly , it emails you once you make the transaction, and very secure so far. Cons I dont have much to say about what i dont like as i haven't found anything bad about it. its a great app to use . maybe that it doesn't allow business transactions , in which i think many people still use it for this. Venmo helps me to do that in an organized manner. I love that I can track transactions by date, description and person, and that it is free to start an account, as well as send and receive payments (no fees). Cons You can still send payments to non-Venmo users. I was able to easily request a refund, but I think that the transaction should then not even go through unless you have a Venmo account. Pros This product is extremely easy to use and very user friendly in both the setup and use. Although I have not used this software professionally, on a personal level it has made payment to friends, family, babysitters, school and sports coordinators so much easier! Can't say enough great things! Cons The only issue I've heard about but never experienced is payment to the incorrect person. It is quite universal now, so many people use it, which makes it easy for me to accept payment through Venmo for my piano lessons. Transfer is immediate, and I appreciate that you can set it to require last 4 digits of phone number the first time you send someone money, to verify you have the right account. It is very easy to use, and free if you set it up with your bank account. Cons I don't think I have any complaints about this software. Perhaps that the transfer from the app to my bank account takes 1-3 business days unless I pay a fee for faster transfer. But this is not an issue for me. Review Source AH Amy H. Pros Venmo is super easy to use and set-up which is exactly what you want from a payment transfer application. Not all of them are created equally, but Venmo has positioned itself at the top through simplicity. Cons Most of the cons are just minor annoyances like having a single stream for inbound and outbound payments. If you want to see them separately, there is no easy way to do that. It would also be nice if you could undo or cancel a transaction within a fixed period of time if something is sent to the wrong contact by accident. Review Source NM Ndara M.
