I definitely recommend it. Pros I like how user friendly it is. It has become pretty well trusted and used among the general public. For me as a tutor and home school teacher to private families, it is an easy way to be paid and keep track of my balance for my job. Cons I don’t like how sometimes it is hard to find the person you need to pay. Sometimes you need 2 step verification for their phone number, but if you are just meeting that person or if it is for a sale of some sort, you don’t always know that info. I like how you can withdraw your Venmo Balance and deposit it into another bank account. It's simple and let's you have it Instant or you can wait a few days if you don't want to pay a small fee to get it instantly. That's why I like Venmo because of that too as well as the Design of the Application and how easy to operate it. Cons Not at all, there isn't anything I don't like about Venmo. This makes moving money around easy and at minimal cost. Pros We often send 1 of our agents out on a lunch run. To many times one of us forgets our wallets or something, but with venmo that isn't an issue. I use it to send money to my son, I use it to send money to coworkers, I even got the card option and use it on a regular basis just as a means to control spending. Cons I've been an advocate for Venmo from the moment I downloaded it. My only issue so far with the product is that I was unable to use my venmo card overseas even at an ATM. I love that you can request money OR pay money to other people. I also enjoy the feature to classify this transaction as Private or Public. I also love that Venmo has their own debit cards linked to the account and credit cards. I didn't use this product for my org, but have used it as a customer of other businesses and as a form of payment with friends and family. I love using it; so easy than using multiple cards to pay a restaurant bill, etc. Cons I do not think there is anything I dislike. Maybe the interface? It could be more appealing I suppose. Pros There's basically no software that's as easy for financial transactions as Venmo. As long as you both have the app, it's an easy transaction. And once you've sent money to someone, it's easy to find them again, which works great for repeat transactions. Cons I do worry each time if I have the correct username, and double check it before sending - it feels a little less straightforward than, say, PayPal which uses an email address. Especially when getting names from people that have dashes and underscores, and then seeing a second person without those, I always am extra cautious before I hit send. Pros It's so easy to get paid and pay with Venmo. Sending and receiving is at no extra cost, which I love. It's a very seamless process. If I want, I can send the money to my bank account as well but I rarely feel the need to do that. The QR code makes it so fast to make a payment. I can split the bill with my friends at a dinner party which makes it so hassle-free. Cons While it's not a big deal, they could support cryptocurrencies. I really hope they start working internationally because I want to be able to use this anywhere. Even the kids in my neighborhood use Venmo for payments. Lawn service. Venmo. Baked goods fund raiser. Venmo. Honestly, it's so much easier to do; especially since I never carry cash. If you have Venmo then you are much more likely to get my money. Cons Only difficulty that I know people have faced is linking their bank account. January 23, 2022 3.0 I thought Venmo was pretty much the top program in its category until my account got frozen and customer service failed at its job 100% Pros I loved the fact that Venmo accepts all prepaid cards. A feature that other similar programs rarely offer , giving them a one up on competition and making purchasing options easier on my clients as well as getting the bill paid legitimately. Cons My account had been frozen one day all of a sudden via email, I responded to email providing all the requested correspondence as stated in the email and was never given any communication in regards since. My account is still frozen with numerous attempts to contact. I have a balance still just sitting in my frozen acct that I can’t access. It’s also very quick to set up and the cashing out process is seamless. Cons I think most of the concern about venmo is regarding security, which is a natural thing to be worried about in an app that uses your banking info. So much wasted time waiting in line at the bank. Waiting for the checks to clear. some people are remote and can't pay with cash. some people forget to leave my payment. With Venmo there's no excuses to not being able to get paid wherever you are, whenever. I've been using Venmo since its inception and never had one single issue. the waiting time is ridiculously fast. they say 1-3 days and I can tell you that in my experience, %90 of the time it's in my bank after one day! it's free! no other app compares! It is super easy to transfer money from your bank account to Venmo with a single click and you can pay whomever you want with a single click. Pros I am amazed at how easy and fast it is to use. Compared to other similar cash transfer apps, venmo is very fast and easy to use. I can transfer money to friends who have venmo with just a click. Cons The privacy option that allows/restricts anyone else from seeing your financial transaction is very fade. You'd have to pay attention to check it as "friends only", otherwise everyone can see who you're paying money to and for what. The minimal layout of the software makes it very easy to use and understand. Pros What I like most about Venmo is that it is free. It makes is easy for college students like me to the software for receiving or sending money. I like that I can easily search up a friend through the system and pay them easily. I also like that I can check my account for previous activity. Cons What I like least about Venmo is that when I want to transfer the money from my Venmo balance to my account it takes multiple days to receive the money. It is useful for every day life. Pros One feature I like about Venmo is that money can be easily transferred in a secure way. I have used this to sell second hand furniture, to pay for meals, to receive tutoring income, and to split costs with friends. Cons One feature I don't like is that I can see what other people are spending money on like a social media feed. However, I can set my exchanges to private so only I can see it. I also do not like to keep money on my Venmo account because it is not insured. I make sure to transfer it to the bank right away, especially if I am traveling.
