It's great! Pros It's the ease of use. Finding clients, vendors and contractors to pay is simple and concise. Then it keeps a detailed record of who and how much you pay. Cons Honestly not much to complain about. I guess if I'm being nit picky I would say maybe Venmo should let users know they are sometimes broadcasting risque things on the feeds to the whole world. This is extremely easy to use on the fly, no matter where you are. November 22, 2021 5.0 In most cases, we use this to pay tradesmen or musicians for their services to our business. It makes it easy to resolve outstanding debts and to reimburse people for services they have given us. Pros Venmo makes it so easy to settle financial matters in scenarios where using a business credit card / debit card is not realistic. We have it set up to be able to pay people as a band for goods and services in an industry where most people don't want to send you an invoice. Cons Maybe this is just me, but I find that the software has a hard time running on my phone. At least 30% of the time, it will struggle to load all of the page / feed and will sometimes freeze up and need re-started. I also don't need any of the social media aspects to it. I don't have to wait for a check in the mail, like in the "olden" days, and I know that there are funds that back up that payment (no more NSF checks!). Pros This product is so easy to use! My customers are always asking if there is a digital way to pay, and thanks to Venmo, I can tell them that there is! Of course, there are other digital payment platforms, but it seems like Venmo is one that almost everyone uses, so that makes it ultra-convenient. It's a great way to get paid fast and I especially like that I can see the name of who is paying me, along with the record of all my incoming payments so I can refer to them later. Cons There are really no features that I think are missing as it applies to my business. It was very easy to integrate this into my business model and my customers seem to like it. Believe it or not, I still take a lot of orders by phone, so being able to Venmo me the payment and have me ship the purchase is very easy for my customers and for me, as well. I would recommend it to anyone. Pros I like using Venmo because I feel it is very user friendly for people of all ages. It is an easy way to send money and not be charged a fee like most of its competitors. I also like that it makes you verify the last 4 digits of the persons cell phone to insure the money is being sent to the right person. Cons Sometimes Venmo has a glitch problem. It's very confusing when it shows you have a smaller amount of money then what is supposed to be in there due to a glitch. I also dislike the time out takes to reach your bank account unless you pay an extra fee. It's easy to use and quick, there is not "waiting" period to see the money hit your venmo. Pros Venmo is easy to use and free. I use it weekly if not daily to pay people back or receive monthly payments from others. They offer a card to withdraw as well if you don't link your bank account. Cons I don't like that it takes a day or two for money to transfer if there is historical use that incoming and outgoing money is valid. I love this product and will continue to use it. Pros I use Venmo nearly every day, to exchange money casually between friends splitting a pay, and professionally pay paying for services and taking payments for goods. The ease of use and accessibility is the best feature. Cons I occasionally worry about the safety of the software holding all of my information for multiple bank accounts, but I haven't run into any issues yet. November 26, 2019 5.0 Venmo is the greatest invention ever! Who needs to ever deal with cash again? Just a few clicks and you can pay your coworker for picking up lunch for you or you can pay your gardener for doing your yard. Also - if someone is in a bind and needs money - help is just a few clicks away. Venmo is safe and secure and I highly recommend it to ANYONE!! Pros Venmo is absolutely a life saver and I have no idea how I got through life without it! I literally use it every day. It's extremely easy to set up - you can do it in minutes, and so easy to use. I also love the fact that you can receive the money instantly - for a very small fee or it's completely free to receive your money on a day or two. Cons There really isn't anything that I don't like about it. If I HAVE to say something it would be that sometimes it's difficult to find other users - but that is probably user error - to be honest. Pros I love how easy it now is to split the bill with friends or colleagues. We use it on our big camping trips to divide the cost of camp site fees, food and gas. I also pay my rent and utilities to my landlord using Venmo. I rarely need cash on hand anymore! The pricing using a credit card and instant transfers is also reasonable. Cons I sell a lot of items on craigslist, and when receiving payments from people I don't know, there is always the worry that they will challenge to payment. I'm still adding people to my list of "friends" but that process is very easy as well. It is definitely one of the options you will want to consider if looking for a way to make electronic payments. Pros Venmo is such an easy to use service/app. They have done a very good job of the KISS principle where other services have become too complicated. Cons My con for Venmo is that it does not come across as professional as some other options. From set up to using its features, everything is straight forward. My clients also love it for this reason. Young or old, they all have an easy time paying me, which is a relief compared to some other money transfer software that can be confusing and slow down business. Cons I don't have any serious critiques about Venmo, but once I was trying to use the app and it turned out that there was a temporary interruption in the service. This has only happened once in several years of use. It is a very reliable and convenient app. One of the only ways that I trust receiving and sending money. Pros Makes sending and receiving money very easy, whether is between friends and family, or for your business. Cons Will take 24 hours or more to have the funds deposited into your account after requesting a transfer, but this is fair. Also, if the person you are trying to send the money is not using a clear profile picture or has a common name, it may be difficult to find them. Pros Venmo makes splitting the bill easy. Never again wait for the friend who is "out of cash" (ok that friend still exists). While Paypal has been around for a while, Venmo introduced the streamlined version of peer to peer paymets. I'm not as interested in the social aspect, however it does have potential benefits from a money management and behavioral standpoint. Venmo makes sending cash fast, free, and easy. The Venmo credit card also looks promising although the last thing I need is another credit card. Cons At times, the social aspect of the software can seem intrusive, however this can be changed from the preferences. I would like to see more physical stores accept Venmo as payment to completely remove the need for cash. Venmo is still not ubiquitous, although that may be a result of not everyone having a smart phone. The competing solutions like Apple Cash and Cash app work the same way and have some better integration aspects (Apple Cash and Apple Card). Review Source SP Sasha P. I recently downloaded CashApp and was confused by how in-your-face it was. Venmo is subtle, simple, and classy. Pros Venmo is socially agile, in the sense that it not only allows you to send money, but also request money for those awkward times when someone promises to pay you back but hasn't yet! I also love being able to leave memos with my payments, such as little emojis and jokes with friends, and even the option to keep payments (for gifts or surprises) private. It's really the little things that this app does so well but in such simple way. The interface is calming - cool and blue, and the app is so easy to use. I especially like that you can choose to leave money in your Venmo account to reduce the back and forth between your Venmo and bank account. I love going to pay someone and realizing I had a balance in my Venmo account from a previous payment that covers the balance. Cons Wish it would give me an overview of people that don't pay back when I've requested, or how much I've spent using Venmo. Review Source AS ANTHONY S.
