There is no fee when transferring to your bank account. Venmo is one tool I use often with others. Pros Venmo is a great way to connect with others and transfer payments securely and safely from your phone or computer. I like that Venmo allows you to tell the others what you are paying for. This helps keep transactions more relevant. You can share your phone number, QR code or username to be found. Cons I am not a huge fan of transactions being public such as seeing what others are paying for but you have the option to mark yours private as well which I use often. Review Source BR Brandy R. November 19, 2021 5.0 I use Venmo just about everyday for the past 2 years and I haven't had one issue with the app. Pros Venmo is a great app to send cash to friends and family, you can use it as a debit card for in store or online purchases. When transferring cash balance to your bank account, you can transfer instantly for a small fee, or transfer it for free and the money will be in your account in 1-3 business days. Often times I'd get stuck paying more because I had more cash , etc. and Venmo makes it really easy to split things fairly! Venmo is just the best - has simplified my life in more ways than I can thank them for! Pros Very easy to navigate and the user face is attractive. App is a great Privacy setting allow for payments from people in private. Excellent customer service (very patient and understanding)! Money is always transferred to my bank super fast - I've never had to wait more than two days. I use it at work when we collect money for joint gifts, etc. and it is so easy! Compared to cash app, google pay and paypal i find it much easier to use! Cons I personally have had no cons with the app. As perviously noted if you do run into issues it is likely your bank account or you've made the unfortunate mistake of sending money to someone you don't know who was a scammer! I put the money on the card and use it anywhere with a piece of mind Pros Its so easy and great to use. A real simple way to send and receive money. Venmo even offers a debit card and the card as cash back opportunities. Cons This not back so they won't offer money protection that banks offer. I can easily send a paycheck or take a payment from customers so yeah no complaints here. Pros Im very impressed with the ease of use and customers are very aware of venmo and are never weary to use it to send payments or down-payments Cons The customer service could be way better. The program is very simple to use and it is easy to both request and send money to other individuals. It is also easy to move money to your bank account once you have an acquired balance. Cons I know that this program suffered with security at one point due to the capabilities of Siri. From what I know, it has since been fixed but quite a few people still don't trust it. I believe that using Zelle or Popmoney would be a safer choice since they are connected directly to one's back account, however those programs are not as easily accessed and not everyone uses them. Another con of this product is that I know some people have problems where their card won't save, so they have to add it each time. Some cards are also not yet accepted with this program, so it forces customers to use Zelle or Popmoney to share money with others. Review Source SB Sheila B. I feel that it is safe and functional. Pros We love venmo! We use it to make payments to our contractors and we also allow our customers to pay us using venmo. We are able to get payments in a timely manner allowing this as a payment option. I can let money stay in the venmo account to make future transactions with or I can move money in the venmo account to my bank with a click of a button. They are a large organization backed by Paypal, and your data is secure. However, the one grip I have about it, is that your financial activity is posted like a social network to your friends. Thankfully, venmo has fixed this and you can hide the money you send to people. Overall, great product. It is still hard to find our business even with the exact handle and there is no way to retract a payment if sent to wrong person. That's a little nerve racking if a client gets our @name wrong. It's a great payment app for personal use, but not the best for a business Pros Simple, quick way to get clients to pay you on the spot for smaller transactions. Most people use the app, so it makes it easy to get paid Cons There is a service fee percentage taken out of your transaction. However this fee is less then paypal, quickbooks, square and a credit card processing. Zelle is still free, so we prefer our clients us that online phone app to pay us. July 18, 2019 5.0 It makes it really easy to pay or request money from others at work for things like work supplies. Pros I love Venmo because it’s incredibly easy to set up and use. It also works well in sending and receiving money—I’ve never had an issue completing a request. It is great because it lets you choose if you want to deposit cash instantly or send it to your bank account. The instant option is almost literally instant and charges a minimal fee. Cons The only issue I’ve seen when using Venmo is that it doesn’t work for one type of account at a certain institution. However, that is the only issue I’ve ever encountered and it’s possible it’s an issue with the financial institution itself. Review Source Tyler H. Pros What I like about Venmo as it's purpose of the app is to send money out and it's nice to also transfer your Venmo balance to pay like on Amazon and transfer to your designated bank. Cons The one thing I had in mind for a con on Venmo is that the fact you have to pay a fee for the transferring in minutes instead of days which seems like it's a little bit demanding if you want it like instantly.
