Sometimes it's hard if you're the only one in your area using Vemmo, but if your clients use it, definitely a super tool! Pros Honestly super easy to use! As long as the person knows their username it's easy to find and request payment or schedule refunds and what not. Cons As easy as it is to use, I would say that only youth to people in their 30's tend to use Venmo. So it's really great for about half of society! You'll probably have to pair this with Paypal if you want to be able to reach your entire clientele. It’s seamless. Pros I love the ease of use for payment for goods and reimbursement from friends and family. It makes sharing expenses so easy and also convenient for using as a business payment method. Simple and quick payment. Cons I don’t love the lack of privacy. I opted into making my transactions private but I often see what friends pay other friends for in my feed and think it’s not necessary. Cons My least favorite thing about this software is how long it takes for the money to transfer into my bank account. I also like the fact Customer Service is available through Chat. I have found it more to be user friendly than other similar products. The people working customer service are nice and sweet and always find a way to fix any problem.Venmo is super easy to use when sending money to a friend or family member because there are no fees in sending money to someone or receiving. Cons I wish it were easier to link multiple accounts to one banks so you income can be tracked. And also. June 3, 2021 5.0 Overall, Venmo is a good app. It achieves its main purpose of being a quick and easy money transfer app. Though, there are issues I hope get fixed in the future. Pros Most of time, I'm using Venmo outside of my business for personal payments. I love how straight forward and quick this app is when I send money to people. I have also used Venmo before to make online purchases. I am also glad that Venmo decided to include a "payment for purchase" feature to their app, which includes payment protection. Other money transfer apps such as Zelle and Cash App, do not include such a feature, making it easy for scammers to take advantage of people. Cons Venmo is a great app, but there is one issue I have with it. Though this has not happened to me, it has happened to many of my friends. I love the fact that it is not only an app but you can a free card to use as well. They do charge you to automatically send the money to your bank account , but they only charge 1% which I personally think is extremely fair. Pros I love how simply venmo is to use. Not only is it an easy app to send and receive money to/from friends and family but they will also provide you with a card for free. You also automatically get cash back on purchases made at certain places. Cons So far I have not come across much that I dont like about venmo! I do however wish they did a referral program like most similar apps do. For example being able to have funds available quickly gives me the ability to scale quickly. Because it’s easy and convenient to use and now I cant envision doing business in any other way. Pros The speed of transactions and the very user friendly interface is great. The integration with my design client transactions is seamless with my personal work flow. Cons The only issue with speed of transactions I have encountered is when using some smaller banks that occasionally don't support the great fast instant transfer feature. It is very easy to sign up. It is easy to make payments and to receive payments. It is easy to connect to new people for payments too. I've never had any issues with payments being completed on this platform. I have never had an issue with it. I have heard of people having trouble with fraud but I have never experienced that. I use Venmo on a weekly or daily basis and I am always so grateful for the simplicity of the transaction and the ease of use. Pros I love that this product is so user friendly! I have students that are 10 and students that are in their 60s and they are all able to use Venmo to pay me for lessons and other business expenses. It is free and funds are usually in my bank account within one or two business days. I really appreciate the fact that there are multiple ways to find someone whether it is by username, phone number or QR code. I use Venmo at my other job as well when accepting payments for cars and customers really appreciate the simplicity of Venmo. Lastly, I also like that I can make payments private so that the online community of Venmo doesn't see them in case people aren't comfortable having their payments public. Cons I wish that Venmo didn't have the default of paying them 1% to have my funds delivered immediately. I have nearly allowed that several times even though I didn't want to. I think the Venmo software is extremely user friendly and the speed of the transactions is a definite plus. The ability to complete a transfer in a few minutes is ver attractive for consumers such as myself. There are other options to send money and I will continue to use and recommend Venmo for ease of use and I think it’s a great alternative to any other ways to send money quickly and safely. Pros Venmo’s greatest strengths are convenience, ease of use, user friendly and speed of transactions. I started using Venmo over a year ago. I needed to send money to a family member quickly and avoid any outrageous fees charge by other organizations. I sent the money and received the call in under two minutes that they received it. Since the first initial use I’ve used it multiple time because it is quick, reliable and easy to use. Cons The one feature I dislike about Venmo is that other users can see who, why and the amount you send to the receiver. Thankfully, it gives the option to enable privacy which I did and felt more secure in completing the transaction. This feature only allows the sender and receiver to see any information. It has made sending and receiving payments so much easier. It's like a digital check. It has made keeping track of payments so much easier as well, since every transaction has a comment associated with it. Pros The ease of setup is one of the best features. Just download the app and connect your bank account. The ability to send and receive money from anyone else in the app regardless of which bank they are using is also fantastic. I also appreciate that they create monthly statements. While I don't use these most of the time, they have been very helpful when doing taxes and needing to double check which category a particular charge should be filed under. Cons The one main feature that is missing is an auto-cash-out option. Competitors such as Square Cash have this and it's really nice. It is easy to use and provides a lot of features. Cons Venmo is not fool proof from scam artists out there and have heard stories of people losing money, however, Venmo has been able to help resolve the issues with their legal team to my knowledge.
