Pros Venmo is quite easy to use. I really like the two step verification using the phone number to ensure you don't send money to the wrong person. Cons I don't like the public sharing of money transfers. I know that this is an option to have turned off, but it's not clear what does and doesn't show depending on who you send money to. It just seems invasive and unnecessary. Pros I like it is easy to use and sending money to friends and family is very convenient. I can send and it is also instant. It’s another option for clients to tip as well, without having to have cash on them, meaning I can get the full amount of the tip. Pros I like that you can easily provide your personal QR code for customers to link to and pay you. Cons I wish there was a free feature for businesses to add money to their Venmo accounts without having to sign up for the credit card. Review Source AH Albert H. Owner Retail Used the software for: Less than 6 months ### "Disaster at Venmo " February 4, 2025 1.0 Overall experience has been a disaster I have reached out to them to release my own money and it has not helped some guy name \[sensitive content hidden\], now every situation is different but mine has not I transferred money into Venmo to get it held for a 180 days not good and when asked to release my own money to no avail totally wrong. Pros Don't like Venmo service at all in has been a nightmare. Cons Well for one I was allowed to transfer my own money from my bank account into Venmo for them to freeze my account and they are saying the will hold my money for 180 days that is outrageous. First I liked using them, but then they paused my account with no good reason and with no recourse other than “ we suggest finding another payment method”.
