Photographer Photography Used the software for: 2+ years ### "Send and request payments, dinners, rent, and a whole lot more" April 27, 2019 5.0 Pros It is very straightforward to use and accomplishes its goal perfectly. You can send and request payments in seconds to anyone you want. The search feature is incredibly useful when you don't have a client added as a contact yet. I mostly use this for repaying for gas and supplies but it can be used for anything. You can use card, debit, or bank accounts linked as well! Cons I do not like how the default is to publicly share your payment with all your friends. I wish the default was private as it seems odd to share all your purchases with the world. My tenants pay me instantly. It's so quick and easy. Pros I can't believe how easy this is to use. 2 taps and your money is available to someone or for me to receive Cons I can't think of anything I don't like about this. Pros Venmo is extremely easy to use, and when ever I find out someone isn't using it I'm confused. It is the simplest way to transfer money, buy things in person, and split the dinner bill. I absolutely love Venmo has made my like 1000Xs easier when it comes to sending money. The UI/ux is very easy to understand and navigate as well unlike some other money transferring apps. I've been using it for years and it has never had any problem transferring payments nor have I experienced any glitches, which is pretty rare of any software. It's been a go-to for splitting tabs and making online transactions. Super easy and user-friendly. Cons Honestly? There is no downside. I have absolutely no issue or concern with this app! It's such an efficient and great product. The percentages they take for each transaction is super low in comparison to other companies also. I will definitely continue to use Venmo! Pros I LOVE Venmo! The thing I like about Venmo is the ease of use, and how quickly you are able to send and receive money within seconds. I also really like their app. It's extremely easy to use straight from my phone. Cons The only thing that I can think of... it would be great if Venmo could offer an option to easily download statements via PDF format. They don't have this option, and I wish they did, because I use Venmo not only personally, but for my Business, and if they had the option to download your statements/activity via PDF format, it would be such a great feature for me to use for my business expense reports. Furthermore, it was a great application to use given that a lot of people I knew already used this service. Pros I love the ease to which one is able to send payments to other users for various reasons/circumstances. I also love how easy it is for one to connect one's bank account with the application. Cons Something I did not like was the time it takes for the transferring of funds takes. It would often take 2-3 business days for the transferring of funds. In the past I would have used less friendly options like PayPal or other e-payment apps, but this is by far the most accessible. Pros This is the most average consumer-friendly financial app I've ever used. It's super easy to simply pop it open, make a payment, and make it fun. Even something like getting a debit card to use with the platform is very painless (and perhaps even fun). Cons Being able to add fun animations to your payments is great, but it also feels a little buggy. The animation recommendations appear automatically when you start typing, but if you select one and then delete any text, the animation is removed. So that feels a bit weird. Pros This app has been such a useful software for when I owed someone or needed money from a person. I really like how it is very easy to use and how you can send money electronically instantly. I also like how you are able to charge people too that owe you money and that there is a reminder button just in case the person forgets to pay you back. Cons The only aspect I did not like about this app is that when you transfer the money back into your account, it isn't instantly transferred. Review Source Kyle K. It makes things really simple, especially if I don't have a checkbook on hand (because who carries a checkbook anymore?) Cons As for business use, I believe I've found lower rates with local merchant services companies, but it is an excellent alternative to something like "Square" which requires you to have a piece of equipment. July 18, 2019 5.0 Pros Venmo is extremely popular, which is great because it is easily accessible to a lot of my friends. It is also easy to use because all you need is a username and you just enter in the amount needed. The format and layout of venmo also allows you to see other friend's transactions which provides a cool social aspect to it as well. Cons I dislike how there is no second feature to confirm that you want to send or request a certain amount of money to a friend. I can send money and get money fast through this app. Pros The venmo app is a life saver for those who borrow money from friends, need to pay, have money digitally on hand. it is a literal miracle wallet right on your phone! I use this when I am out with friends and I am unable to pay for things so I am able to just send the money to them digitally if I forgot the cash! Cons For some reason the card option malfunctions? Pros Venmo is an easy way to pay friends, split the bill, or make recurring payments. I liked the ease of set-up: all it takes is linking a bank account and then you're good to go. You can set reminders if you have monthly payments to someone, like for child care or transportation, or create a recurring deduction from your account. Venmo makes it easy to split a meal bill between friends, or pay someone back for an Uber, without needing to carry cash around. Venmo also allows you to pay in other apps, and tracks your spending, making it easy to know where your money is going. Cons For my uses, Venmo has been great. It's possible that this is already built in to the app, but I haven't found a way to email myself a receipt, in case I wanted to turn it in and expense something for business. I love that peer-to-peer payments are free (unless paying with a credit card), as compared to Square, or Paypal, which charge a transaction fee, no matter what. I love how simple and easy to use it is. And I love how mainstream it has become. As more people use Venmo, it becomes increasingly easy to pay people back. Pros I love how simple Venmo has made it to pay back friends, family members, or even strangers to whom you owe money. It is super simple, and fun to use, and always a fun challenge to see if you can "write" the memo using only emojis. I am a very exact person. When I owe someone money, I always want to pay with exact change. Paying someone with exact change was very difficult with cash, with Venmo, however, it couldn't be easier. Now I never feel like I short changed someone, or that I have been short changed. Cons My biggest complaint with Venmo is that you can't have multiple accounts. I didn't realize this until I set up a second account, for my business, which was deactivated shortly after setting it up. In fact, Venmo is just starting to allow business accounts, where they previously did not, but are charging a transaction fee. My other concern is that transactions are final. If you accidentally make a payment to the wrong person, there is no recourse. Review Source HS Hunter S. Pros I do enjoy how easy it is to use the app. It is so easy to send money to friends and split restaurant bills and pay utility bills. I never use the option to deposit straight to my credit card and incur a fee, because depositing to my bank account takes such a short amount of time. I also love the recent addition of adding bitmoji images to the payments. It's so much fun! Cons I don't like the lack of security and verification. I feel like it would be very easy for someone to get on my phone and send themselves money because it doesn't require any verification to send payments once you go into the app. Even just requiring a pin or a face ID scan, I would feel a lot more secure using the app. I also wish that it would allow you to use your existing venmo balance to send payments and THEN withdraw from your bank account. Money transfers quickly and debit card option is great Pros Simple way to pay others, and transfer money across accounts. The debit card is also a great feature. I'm satisfied Pros First of all, if you got signed up with a friend's invitation, you got free 10 bucks. Amazing start, but well, this is another PayPal service, you can expect nothing but the best. The convenience of having the app on my phone is great, but the best part is how easy it is to transfer money. I had someone request money from me, and it took seconds for me to send them what they needed. Pros I'm a big fan of Venmo. It's the best payment option out there because of its ease of use, it's free for everyone, and the transactions are quick. I have had no problems with it at all. Cons Maybe they can improve usability, sometimes de app give me the hard time with transactions, like slow-downs, but in overall experience I recommend.
