September 21, 2019 5.0 Customers can easily pay me directly from their bank accounts or debit cards without even having to swipe. its very secure and everyones information is held securely, so there is never any chance for fraud. Pros Venmo is easy to use for people at all levels. It is incredibly intuitive and virtually anyone can learn to use it within minutes. It is a trusted solution for small business and individuals all across the globe. Its also a great way to split a dinner check with a friend, buy concert tickets or buy things online from people using peer to peer. Cons There really isn't anything to not totally love about venmo. Its cheap and easy to use with a very high trust rating. When people owe each other money (and especially now that no one carries cash or checks) it's the best way to give and receive money for literally anything! Profile pictures and confirming with phone #s are bonus safeguards that you are interacting with the right person! Pros Venmo's platform is simple and extremely user friendly for the tech savvy or not! You can easily use this product and feel confident that what you intend to happen, does! Beyond the great interface, the product promotes social interactions in that two to multiple people can give or receive money within seconds. It makes events like going out to dinner and splitting a bill, purchasing a group gift, to paying a vendor at Farmer's Market, effortless and even fun (with emojis and icons)! Pros What's great about Venmo is that everyone uses it. So it's really easy to go out with friends and split the bill with Venmo. I've used Venmo for a while now and could not recommend it more. It feels safe and secure and will pull from your bank account if you don't have enough funds in your Venmo account to pay someone. Cons Only cons would be the security part of it. I would appreciate some two-factor authentication if it was possible. However, incorporating the FaceID was helpful. We use Venmo for informal cash transfers between colleagues ranging from pooling of funds for team gifts to lunch meals. It does everything we need and it's free! Pros It's super easy to set-up and use and the user-interface is friendly to navigate. I like how easy it is to find recipients and that you can both send AND request payments. The funds within Venmo are available immediately. Transaction searches/history are easy to navigate. Cons Funds take a few days to settle if you transfer out to your bank. You can pay for faster delivery of funds to your bank account, but I think the cost is a bit high. I did have someone keep requesting a payment from me but I have no idea who he is - and good thing I didn't just hit accept thinking it was a colleague who changed their profile. I think a better safety mechanism where you have to approve a user to be on your "approved list" is needed before any transactions can be made/requested. Review Source David S. Pros I like that it's quick, easy, and modern way of transferring money through an app you can download to your smart phone for free. Cons It may be too trendy for me or my company. PayPal seems to offer the same service without sending it through a news feed to your friends and without the emojis. Pros I use venmo for selling small things, for example if I have items left over from a yard sale, I would list those items online and use venmo to accept payments. Venmo is very simple to use, and I love that you have the option to transfer your money instantly. The app is really easy to navigate, it makes the buying/selling experience so nice when you can easily navigate the app! Cons The only thing I don't care for with the app is that it is set up so you can add friends from your social media. It is owned by PayPal but it is much different. It does not charge all of the crazy fees that paypal does in peer to peer transactions. It is very social friendly You are able to split payments between multiple friends and even have a little fun with the comment section. Theh have recently added bitcoin purchasing as well. Cons They can be a little bit picky about the card you are allowed to use to fund your account. They will not allow you to use any type of pre paid cards. Pros this product is so easy to use. i use this app every day. i am a musician so whenever somebody wants me to collab with them and get on their song they send my money through venmo. i also sell beats so i use venmo to receive my payments. Pros Venmo is a great software. It allows for easy money transactions, I like how you can both send money and request money, which is unique and a great feature. Its easy to set up and find people, and feels secure. Cons I wish there was a 30 second cancel request after you send money because there have been incidents where I put in the wrong amount or a similar mistake and want to cancel it real fast to fix it. The mobile app, as well, is particularly good compared to many other payment services. However, this ease of use comes at other costs. The service has relatively few users compared to other solutions, and customer service options are quite slow and often give standardized answers that may not be particularly useful. Nonetheless, if you understand these limitations and find a use case that fits, Venmo can be a very useful solution for payment services. Pros I'm not sure there's a perfect app out there, but Venmo is pretty close to it. As a simple way to transfer and request money (without taking a cut), it's made going out with friends/family much easier. There aren't a lot of features, but that's a good thing in this case—it isn't bogged down by unnecessary or bloated additions. It's just there to transfer funds, and it works. Cons There are no real cons here. I do wish "private" was the default option when it comes to sharing transactions (I've accidentally shared some I'd have rather kept private), but it's a small issue compared to the benefits. Pros I love how easy this app. is to use. It makes it really easy to collect from customers and send money back and forth if an employee needs supplies or somthing. Cons I am not able to do instant transfers from my bank to add cash.
