There was a point were people were using Venmo for online sales which unfortunately allowed scammers to not send goods yet still receive payment. Venmo has fixed this issue by allowing you to note if items are paying for a good or service instead of sending funds between family and friends -- comparable to competitor program. Now e-commerce can use this function and receive more protection for online purchases. The app is especially easy to use as well, and funds deposit quickly and effectively into bank accounts. Actress Entertainment Used the software for: 2+ years ### "Easy money exchange " December 9, 2019 5.0 I’ve used Venmo with friends and roommates to pay for rent or splitting bills and restaurant checks and it’s so quick and easy! It’s a common app that helps when trying sell items on Facebook or other sell/buy sites and won’t take a percent like PayPal does. Sometimes I have a hard time sending my username or code to people who don’t know how to use the app well but in the end we always figure out a way to find each other. Love this convenient app! Pros I like that you can find anyone’s account when given their username and send or request payment quickly and easily. Cons Sometimes it’s hard for strangers to find your profile if they need to buy something from you online. Very simple to get started and the best thing about it is that it is one of the top software used by people. It is nice to know most people have a venmo account as it simplifies sending and receiving payments, which otherwise can be a daunting challenge. Pros The ease of connecting your bank, making a transaction, and viewing all of your transaction history are some of the best features of this application. It is nice to have a social media access with the software as it allows people to be able to find others that need to make transactions where it would otherwise be difficult to track. Cons More features need to be developed for the software. The application has not made many major upgrades and while it works, there are many features to increase the users' capabilities to do things such as have reoccurring payments and undo payments within a short period of time when mistakes are made. There's nothing new about venmo that we haven't already seen in other payment softwares. The only good thing they have going for them is their customer service. They agents could get back to you a little faster, but they still get back to you at least unlike cashapp or PayPal. Pros I like that if is offered and used almost anywhere online. Cons What I like least about this software is that it's basic and doesn't offer anything we haven't already seen before. " June 26, 2019 5.0 Pros My favorite thing about Venmo is just how easy it is to use! I can easily send money and also receive money from family, friends and co workers with a few clicks in the app! I also love the slight bit of social media aspect to it and how you can say what you are paying people for and your friends in your contacts or other social media platforms can see as well! I just think its fun and makes the app more interactive! Cons If I had a con, it would be just that transferring the money for no fee can take a few days, but I don't really even mind that because if you need the money to be available asap you can do so for a very small fee to Venmo. Gone are the days of added credit card tips or Clients not having cash to tip. Pros Venmo makes sure my employees get tipped all of the time. There’s no more “I don’t have cash on me” or nasty credit card fees eating in to a service providers tips. Everyone has Venmo these days. But that makes sense considering how popular Venmo is. Pros This is the easiest app for repaying people when going out, uber, rent, expenses, etc. I pretty much exclusively use Venmo since it's cheap (basically free) and easy to use with most of my friends having an account. It is easy for me to decide when i want to pull money into my account and I like that i get pinged when a transaction has arrived. Cons As a global organization, we set up pool funds and I wish that Venmo could be more universal. Pros Venmo is a very convenient software to collect payments for your small business. It is simple for people to find you (through your handle or QR code) and is secure. Many people use venmo nowadays so its user friendly. Cons I would say the transaction fee, but understandable since it is a business solution separate from individual use.
