We haven't had any complaints with customer service or user experience. Pros Ease of use. It is easy to explain to someone how it works. It is also becoming more ubiquitous, which further removes friction for adoption. Cons lack of granular control with notifications. It would be nice to set additional layers of notifications based upon the amount of a transaction or a reminder if someone had received a request for payment but still not paid. Reason for choosing Venmo Cash, was the main option we use before to solve this problem. Venmo is nice to help keep track of these small transactions. I use it every other week to pay an employee for the past 6 years. Pros Makes it easy to send $ quickly and securely. You can find contacts through your social media or using a phone number. Pros I love that Venmo is functional on a mobile device. It processes payments quickly and accurately. You can be discrete about what good or service you are paying for. Pros What I like most about this software is its ease of use and accessibility. It's super easy to pick up and its many integrations make it easy to move money and use that money on the go. May 7, 2021 5.0 I have benefitted from using Venmo in that some customers are uncomfortable with PayPal but will use Venmo. I don't know why because everything says Venmo by PayPal but whatever makes my customers and clients happy makes me happy. Pros I like that I can receive payment from clients and customers without being charged a service charge if I'm willing to wait a day or two to receive my money, other payment solutions nickel and dime you and your customers to death with service charges! Cons I wish that there was some sort of integration with PayPal since they are the same company. I get most of payments for my Tupperware business from PayPal but some people prefer Venmo. Since they are the same company, I should be able to easily transfer money between the two without the money passing through my checking account. Pros This software is really easy to add "regular" people to pay them for their services. You can add them as "friends" and then you can repeat payments to them with ease, knowing it is going to the correct account. The customer service is also very good and responsive if for some reason the money is sent to the wrong user. They are able to recover it in a few days. Cons This is not exactly a professional-looking software. Many people leave comments about payments and other messages. You can alter your privacy settings to make it look more professional. Also if you are paying a contractor for their work Venmo limits the amount you can pay people during any given day. If you are paying someone for a larger project, then you should consider the maximum transfer amount. Review Source wK william K. Just Venmo it!" May 7, 2021 5.0 Overall I highly recommend venmo, any minor gripes I mentioned above are just that (Minor Gripes). I think Venmo can be great for anyone whether you get payments or are paying people it can be very fast and easy to use. Pros Very easy to use, very nice to look at, platforms supported for several devices and it just works! What more do you need for a service like this? Cons Some issues linking multiple bank accounts to the app but after a few attempts this issue was gone. Maybe another such issue I can think of is how once a payment is gone through it's just sent. Sometimes accidents happen and it would be nice if they had designed a way to allow payments to be sent back if it was sent accidentally maybe within a set time frame. The biggest value in this software is in the number of users it has, not its actual functionality. Cons It tries to marry payments with social media. Why would I want anything financial public in any way? Yes you can set it all to private, but it seems like putting social functions in a payment app is a poor choice. Pros What I like the most about this software is how easy it is to use its mobile application. Within seconds, one can make payments to co-workers and other companies directly from your phone. Also, withdrawing money from the application into a debit card can be done almost instantly. Cons The only thing I do not like about this software is that it does not accept international credit cards for use, at least not all of them. The card arrives quickly and they offer random deals/perks. Other employees, clients and administrators each get the same benefits from use. They have a QR code that can be shared with others to use to pay you. The fact that it's on our cell phone and we can make sure we're paid when we're finished, not when the customer feels like sending a check is a huge win for us and frees us up by not having to make collections calls. Pros The single best thing about the software is being able to get paid when we finish... No sending out invoices and waiting 90 days. We tell our guys to not leave until they are paid. It's game changing for us. Cons We don't see any downside. The only thing I would like to see added is the ability to send an invoice from the software. I like the ability to easily send and receive money from friends and family. It is very straight forward and easy to use. The ability to have a card makes it easy to have access to the funds you have available in the app as well. Cons The one thing I like the least about this application is how it shares your transactions by default. Pros The thing I like most about Venmo is that it doesn't try to be anything other than a simple, easy-to-use app to pay and request money from friends and family. Cons What I like least about the app is that it doesn't seem to recognize the people that I pay and request money from most frequently, leading to me having to search for my close friends, which is annoying. Cons The delay of funds being sent to the time they are transferred to the bank is 1 to 3 days, which usually is not an issue.
