September 25, 2019 5.0 Great experience! I use it almost daily and tell anyone that does not use it they need to! Pros This makes splitting bills, paying anyone for anything so easy. I use this to pay my dog walker weekly. I pay my friends via this weekly for dinners out, drinks, groceries, etc. I also use this with my family for gifts. Cons Nothing I do not like. Venmo make it so easy for one person to make a purchase and to then request an even split. I can't imagine a life without it. Pros I absolutely love Venmo; I honestly don't know what I did before it. Venmo makes everything so much easier, from splitting utilities to grabbing lunch with friends. I use it daily and its such a simple, smart app. Cons The only thing that is unfortunate about Venmo is the wait time between deposits; but that's the price for a free service. I love the Venmo debit card option. Pros Very easy to use once you get it set up. Offers a Venmo Debit card which makes using money in my Venmo account very easy. Cons At first it is confusing on how to access my money in Venmo. There are a wait period on some transfers in before I can withdraw. Others can see your transactions by default. You have to figure this out on your own and make them private. Pros Easy to link with a bank account. Money transfer is really fast. You can add friends by bar code scan or give your own bar code to scan to quickly add a person. I also like the security features, as when you send to an unknown entity it asks for mobile verification. Cons cash out fees is a bit on the higher side if you want to withdraw immediately. Wish it would lower. This is so simple and has a standard transfer (1-3 business days) to get money out. Cons This platform is great. I have no issues really. I like how you can adjust privacy settings for who sees your activity and how they send you statements of your venmo transactions every month. Cons Really hard to list cons for this one.... I’ve noticed recently that sometimes the app is slow when setting up the payment (typing is delayed). Pros I liked that it is easy to find people to pay just by them sharing a QR code or exporting a link that directly opens in Venmo. I wish more people knew this option rather than screenshotting their venmo name and me having to type it in directly. Cons Not everyone has this, the product is not universal and thus, having multiple applications is often required to make this happen. It is simple and intuitive and does not take a significant amount of time to perform tasks. Pros We love having the ability to provide clients an alternative to writing and mailing out payments to us for services. Venmo quickly allows the submittal of payment and then we are able to do a same day deposit to our accounts. The amount that Venmo charges isn't much which doesn't take a chunk out of what is paid out. For 1,000.00 you can expect to pay 10.00 for the transaction. Cons The challenge with Venmo is that every transaction has to be completed via mobile application. There is no ability to transfer funds via computer based application; however, you can log into Venmo and see transaction information. Its very simple to request payments from clients and others, especially millennials! They all seem to be on Venmo. Cons As a business \[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN\], I'd like to be able to request and make payments from my laptop. There is no longer that option since I started using it. It has overall be a super useful app that makes exchanging money easy and from anywhere. I've had a great experience! Pros Venmo is so quick and easy to use. The immediate transaction makes this software invaluable. I use it to pay my babysitter each week, make purchases virtually, pay a friend my share of lunch or coffee, and even move money between me and my husband. The feedback/receipt both in the app and via email makes me feel comfortable knowing that my payment was successfully completed. Cons There isn't really anything that I dislike about Venmo. It has been a welcome and useful addition to my "go to" apps. One thing I would recommend to new users is to be decide whether or not they want their payment to be made public. While Venmo is still useful and hasn’t become obsolete, other apps are competing and giving perks that Venmo doesn’t give. Pros I like how easy it is so send money to others. Connect you bank account, send money to others with a Venmo account. That is it! It is that easy. Cons The change from a flat instant transfer fee to a percentage was not a good move in my opinion. Nothing to help you on the app, contact your support by email and they redirect you someplace else, b\*\*\*\*\*\*\* Pros Convenient and very easy and I prefer paying in cash for something which I could do with venmo Cons I had a fraudulent charge and there is no way in venmo to address this whatsoever and basically zero customer service so I have closed my account. I also do not like that they can pull from my bank account if I don't have enough money in venmo. If I don't have enough money in venmo the purchase simply should not go through. Cons I think it can be easy to send money to user you did not intend to send money to.
