Cons I would like to be able to tie more than one venmo account to a bank account. It’s simple, easy and just takes a few moment to transfer money. Cons The only downside is not being able to link to a credit card to obtain credit card points for transfers of money. Pros Venmo makes it extremely easy to send and receive money. Before Venmo I could easily send money to my family and friends that had the same bank as me but had to use cash for those that didn't. And no one carries cash anymore.. The setup is easy, the UI is intuitive and it's somehow even figured out a way to make money transfer fun and social. I love that you can toggle your payments between public and private if there's something like a surprise gift for someone that you don't want to accidentally pop up on their feed. Cons I don't have an obvious con. Maybe that you really should trust the person that's sending you money since there is no way to dispute if something goes wrong (that I know of). Pros It is very widespread among young people: most of my friends have Venmo installed in their app, which’s makes it very convenient for money transfers. I also like how fast it can transfer money from your bank without a fee, therefore avoiding a trip to the atm Cons If you mistyped the username of the person who want to send money to, it is virtually impossible to get your money back. Pros I absolutely love the simplicity of Venmo. Being able to give someone my Venmo name or having them scan the QR code associated with the account and making a payment that way makes sales an absolute breeze. It's great to be on the opposite end as well—payments have never been easier! Cons Honestly, no cons. There are times that I wish that transferring funds into your account would move a little bit quicker, but for the most part it's a fairly speedy process. August 27, 2019 5.0 Overall great tool.. just the privacy concern but need to look into it further! Pros Easy software when it comes to sending more AND request payment from friends/family members! Gone are the days when you feel awkward asking for that $$ that your friends owe you! You can now asked them via Venmo! It is very a seamless process and VERY easy to use. You can easily link your bank account. Similar to PayPal there are low fees or no fees deepening on the transaction. Cons No complains except that you can basically view your friends' transactions. I don't know I kinda feel weird being able to see every spending from my friends. I feel like I'm invading their privacy! Maybe there's a way to protect your privacy and I haven't found it yet? I need to look into it. It's so convenient that if I meet someone who doesn't use it and I have to get out cash from an ATM to repay them, I'm annoyed! Plus PayPal owns it so it's very secure and safe. Pros It is so incredibly convenient. Don't want to wait for everyone to pay a separate check at the bar? Venmo. Riding with someone and need to pay gas money? Venmo. Owe some money but never have cash? Venmo. Want to send someone a nice surprise, just because? Coffee on me since it's Monday? Venmo. You can use it for so many things and the transfers are instant. It's the way of the future. Cons Their customer service really isn't the best. If you make a mistake on a payment or someone won't send you money back, they really can't do anything. May 18, 2021 5.0 Overall, I prefer using Paypal both from a consumer standpoint and a managerial standpoint over Venmo, simply because of the lack of to-do options on their website. If Venmo re-integrated the ability to send money via their website, I'm sure more of my consumers would use Venmo regularly. Pros I like the ability to electronically transfer money without wire transfer fees. My consumers love the ability to send money electronically and the ease of use with the software. Cons I don't like how Venmo decided to shift their focus primarily on the app instead of their website as well. A couple of years ago they took away the ability to send money from the website, so my consumers must have the app downloaded onto their personal mobile devices in order to use the software. It is a money pass card which means no fee for most atm withdrawals which is a huge advantage over other similar apps. I love that there is the option to have your money sent to your account that moment, or in a few days with no charge. The ability to request money and remind people is fabulous as well. There is a touch of a social element as well being able to see other's transactions and what they are sending. This purpose of this app is simple but it has truly changed the game! Cons The only issue I have with this app is the new business feature. You have to label yourself as a business if you are having any business transactions so Venmo can take a portion of that money you are receiving from a client. I think this will be unpopular for most business users.
