Both safe and secure, and free to use. Very easy and quick. Can do it while on the go, and with only a few clicks. Pros The ease of use, the ability to get what I need done quickly, and to be able to do it on the go. I also like that I can do it for free. Cons I don’t really have issues with Venmo, so there’s not anything that I’d write as a con here. The only thing I’d say is that I don’t want what I send to be public but you can make it not public. Their UI is also aesthetically pleasing. Cons The software can act a little wonky when you're adding multiple people to request payments. Cons I don't want to see who my friends are paying money to, it's like they tried to turn it into some sort of bizarre social thing that's just kind of creepy. No fees are charged, and you can arrange a next day transfer to your bank without incurring any charges. Pros Venmo is widely used, easy, and instant. Whether you want to pay a friend back for dinner or you want to accept a client payment, Venmo makes it simple and doesn't charge any fees. Cons I can honestly say I like everything about Venmo. It also connects with more financial institutions Pros Easy Access and ability to sync most financial institutions and send requests of payment or pay for things as simple as splitting a tab at a restaurant, bills at home or resolving any other needs or issues between friends, co-workers, peers, ect. Cons It acts like a social media and you have to remember to put private so only the person sent to can see it, any one in your social network on Venmo can see if you forget a request or a payment. Why? who knows seems really pointless and also gross, and I can't figure why they have this feature outside of trying to be a secondary social networking app? Review Source JK Justine K. I find that most people have this software and are familiar with how to use it. If they don't, its incredibly quick and easy to set up and begin using. I also love how there's an option for immediate transfer of funds to a bank account when needed, but also a free option to transfer within 3-5 business days. Pros I love how easy it is to set up and use this software. Payment processing is quick and customer service is always helpful if there is ever an issue. Cons Occasionally users will select the wrong account and it can be a headache to correct the error, but customer service is usually helpful in addressing this issue when it arises. It especially comes in handy when splitting a bill at a restaurant or amongst your co-workers for a lunch order. It's also a nice resource to have when you don't want to carry cash or cards. Pros This product is so easy to use while also being very quick! You can send and receive money instantly. Funds can be deposited immediately into your bank account (for a small fee) or deposited within 1-3 business days for free (usually closer to 1). It is always secure and allows you to scan someone's QR code, enter their phone number, or input the username to complete a transaction. Cons The app does have a newsfeed of your friends or the public's activity that you see on the main screen. Fast!" November 4, 2021 5.0 Venmo is easy to use, and a fast way to get paid. It makes getting dinner/drinks with a friend super easy, because you can send money instantly. Pros I love how easy it is to use Venmo when out with friends or for small jobs! I used to use Venmo for when I babysat, because it was quick and easy to get paid. Cons I dislike that it charges a fee to immediately transfer funds to a bank account. I guess that's my own problem though because I'm too impatient to transfer and wait 2-4 days. Pros The Venmo app is owned by Paypal so what could go wrong. It is safe and secure when it comes to sending money to your friends, paying rent and other things effectively over the phone and fast. Pros Its fast and easy to send a payment to anyone using Venmo and fast to transfer money to your own account. Cons However, you can only add a 4 cards to your account within 6 months. It doesn't matter if you removeva card or not. If you add 4 cards in November. Delete two of those cards in December. You cannot add anymore cards until May. We use venmo for multiple purposes here at the agency and it is by far the simplest platform. Funds arrive quicker than expected almost 100% of the time. I imagine that venmo will continue to be around for a very, very long time. Pros EASY to use. SIMPLE to adapt to. GREAT to experience. QUICK to pay, QUICK to receive, and QUICK to learn. Great for business and/or personal use. Cons Part of me wishes i could see the amounts that others are being paid/receiving at times... just cause it would be interesting - but i do know the issues related to that. I use it in order to pay employees at organizations along with friends. It is nice to have the added safety in the case that I do by circumstance forget my wallet. Pros I love the ease of use of Venmo and the fact that it works across bank accounts. It's an easy way to send money at no additional charge and can be done as easily as with the touch of a button. This is particularly handy for small amounts that often seem trivial. Cons The only caveat with venmo is that there is a certain maximum in terms of money that you can send. I have on multiple occasions had friends get kicked out of the app due to too much money transfer. Also, the app gives two options, one for immediate transaction and the second for 1-3 days but the immediate transaction is at a charge. Review Source AR Amy R. I like getting paid and paying people with immediacy. Pros Venmo is great because of its simplicity. After setup, just punch in the number of a payee or a person in your contacts and enter a dollar amount and hit send. Boom done. Instant. Many other platforms, the banks are the worst..., have multiple steps in setting up someone to get paid and then take 3 to 5 days to pay the person... Should send the money instantly. Venmo does this great. Cons 2 main things that would be nice to be improved. Use for business has been done, but it is a little unprofessional. A more formal invoice side would be nice. Also, while I know you can hide it, the showing off of everyone in your contact lists payments and to who should be defaulted to off. I don't like the privacy (lack of) part of that. The transactions clear in less than a day. Big users of this and always will be. Cons I'm unable to send the money to friends and family that don't have the product. I have been using it for past 6-7 years and never has any issues with it. The transfer is fast and good thing is you can keep that money in Venmo account and transfer that to someone when you want to transfer instead from bank account. Pros I like the seamless integration with the banking account to transfer the money to friends and colleagues. I have been using the product for quite some time now and have not switched to any other product. I transfer the amount immediately using Venmo, if I need to give it to someone. Cons Nothing to dislike as such but I see in my list other friends who have transferred the amount to their friends and colleagues which I feel should not be needed. Pros Venmo makes contactless payment for selling items so easy, all you have to do is tell people your account name and they can send money right to you. It's also easy to send money to others even if it is not in your account at the moment. You can send money now as it transfers from your bank account. Cons The feed style of people who are your contacts can be invasive of your privacy if you do not set your account or posts to private. Connecting with the people I needed to was easy at first, and even easier today now that they've launched some additional features to make it easier to transact with new people. Cons At first, finding users by name was difficult, given the commonality of some usernames. However, they've made some strides to fix that.
