It is easy to use and tracks each payment. There are so many features including a commerce platform and Venmo credit card. It's also excited to see where the platform will go with its new crypto-currency integrations. Cons The only feature that I would suggest needs change would be the fees associated with credit cards. Pros We usually accept credit card for larger accounts, but recently started using Venmo for single or two user accounts, which has made it much quicker and easier for everyone. Pros Venmo is a great way to take instant payments without having to contribute exhorbitant fees, as is the case when using PayPal. Cons I don't like transactions being public by default, so I switch to private mode to avoid appearing on other people's feeds. Reason for choosing Venmo Venmo was the option I found more of my clients already had and were able to use. Switched from [PayPal](https://www.capterra.com/p/207944/PayPal/) I avoid PayPal whenever possible, so when a customer can pay with Venmo, I take the chance. Honestly the best in the biz is Venmo - being able to pay off your friend for buying drinks for the night or whatever it may be - bills etc - this is the best tool Cons People that dont have Venmo is the biggest issue here. Some of my closest friends dont have Venmo so it limits usefulness because some people wont jump on - which people have said they are not sure it is "secure" enough. Pros Venmo is a great way to get quick payments. My favorite option is that you can immediately transfer the money into your account for a fee or can wait 1-3 days for free. Cons It seems that the instant transfer fee continues to increase little by little each year. It would be helpful if there was a cap per day or per week vs. per payment. Venmo filled that void. Pros What isn't there to like about venmo it's free and easy. Being able to make payments on the fly for picking something up from a marketplace purchase, paying for for a service, or just paying back family/friends Venmo makes it simple and quick. The ability to add friends and/or on going payment receivers means I just click their name and put in the amount done. Cons The only Con I've found is that you have to turn off the share payments if you don't want others to know what you are paying for items or services. Best of all no fees to me whatsoever to send money in a moment. I really love it! Pros I needed to use it to pay at a farm stand. I had never used it before. Standing outside within 5 minutes I had signed up, verified and made my first purchase with Venmo. Super easy interface. Instructions on screen were excellent. Cons I was not familiar with it before. Sometimes the privacy feature seems to change without my doing it. Or perhaps I inadvertently change it. Maybe that could be more clear on the app screens. Review Source Austin B. Everything goes smooth and I am immediately charged and the receiver gets their cash fast. Pros Venmo takes many payment methods and makes it easy to send money to your friends and family. It's widely used with my personal life. With such a wide variety of ways to pay and received money, it makes things simple so you don't have to pay with cash. Cons Venmo does take a small fee for using credit cards. These fee does deter me away from using the service from time to time. I understand that they have credit card fees that they get hit with but if they some companies make deals with credit card companies so there is minimal fees. Review Source ANDREW T. I also wish I knew how connecting your bank was also fairly simple to do. Pros It helps to send payments and is great when going out with groups and splitting tabs and bills. It's fast, reliable and seems easier to use than other pay apps. I like that I don't need to login each time on the app.I like the ease of connecting my chase bank as well. I connected with customer service several times to get help with resetting my password. I connected through Venmo's chat options. I also received a summary of the interaction via email. I would say that this is an effective app for communicating with other Venmo users, splitting and sharing the tabs with friends, and purchasing using your Venmo balance or Mastercard. Pros What I love most about Venmo software is that you can use a credit card too with this one. Some apps only link to your bank account or debit card. Cons What I like least about Venmo software is that whatever card that you use can only be linked to one Venmo account. So, you can never use this app to move your own money around. The transfers are between yourself and another person. Sometimes, I would like to move money from my credit card into my bank using the ease of an app. Review Source Suzanne C. Pros Easily send and receive money to anyone you know. This greatly simplifies splitting checks for a meal out or accepting payments when selling an item in person to a cashless buyer. Cons No especially terrible drawbacks come to mind. I do find it interesting how many users make all transactions public (the app allows you to select visibility for each exchange)--why do they do it? In my experience it is among the quickest financial products to deliver money to your account, hardly any wait on transfer times. Also enjoy the "social" aspect of it Cons The only complaint I have is that you must use your Venmo balance before you can pay from a different account, I wish that wasn't the case. I could also easily export the custom QR code to use at shows and at my cash register. I felt that I had more customers because I offered Venmo as a payment option. Pros It's incredibly easy to use and gets you money back fast. It's much more efficient than using my bank or QuickPay options. I use it to charge others for bills, getting paid for gigs, etc. Extremely efficient. Cons I wish there was a way for you to be able to search or sort through past transactions that isn't constantly scrolling through. Pros Venmo is very simple for sending money from one person to another. It's widely enough used by people under 40 that it's pretty safe to assume that you can make a non-cash transaction out and about, if you make a sudden stop at a farmers market or yard sale and don't have cash. Great for splitting bills at restaurants or bars with friends. Cons I don't like how I have to manually initiate to send money to my back account. Would be a great feature to be able to automatically transfer to my bank account as soon as I got paid, or if I hit a certain $$ amount or even a certain time frame (every Friday transfer all from Venmo account to bank accound). " December 10, 2020 5.0 Venmo has actually been an awesome product to have. My manager implemented this product to us and we’ve been using now for almost a year. We’ve never ran into issues since we’ve started. We love the feature where you can send emojis to our clients and receive payments all in the same platform. I love that Venmo makes its threat priority to provide a safe and secure product. Pros Split bill feature is pretty cool especially on night out with friends! Love being able to use emojis!! Cons 3% fee sucks when sending money each time. Using the cash app feature also charges but from the service you get it’s really not a big deal and I understand that the company need to get paid. Having a feature like a reward center would be nice. For each transaction you accumulate so many points to eventually get a free transfer or cash out would be nice. Just a thought! Aside from that one incident I had, they really have been a necessary part of my life. Pros It's very easy to send and receive a payment on the app. It is very quick with loading the information to my account that I need. Cons Venmo does not have protection to their users when something goes wrong. Unfortunately I had a sale not happen. I had proof about it, but venmo couldn't help because they didn't have the protection.
