It is very convenient and it carrying cash on me no longer an issue. Pros Great interface and very easy to use as a consumer. A lot of my friends have Venmo so it makes it the #1 payment processing system in the market. Cons The least favorite thing is you can only send up to a certain amount of money to different users. Pros I can send money to anyone very quickly. The fees are very minimal. I can also receive money very quickly with minimal fees. Cons I do not have any issues with Venmo to date. Just be careful who you are sending the money to! Pros Venmo is an easy, fast, and convenient way to send money. I've used it a lot and have not had any issues. It's simple to locate someone's account using their phone number, email, or by checking their username. The funds are transferred immediately, and the individual has the choice of paying a small fee to expedite the transfer or paying no fee and waiting a few days for their bank to do so. Cons My only main complaint is that the app does not allow you to pause payments. The funds must be returned to you by the receiver. What happens if you give money to the wrong party and that person refuses to refund it? I realize that the transaction is immediate since it is an ACH, but having the ability to cancel will be a good thing. Review Source Michelle B. August 2, 2019 5.0 This program is so quick and easy to use without having the expensive fees attached! Pros This program has been a wonderfully easy and convenient tool for paying dues. I use this for multiple purposes...from paying my car note to previous owner, paying for meals or gifts to a friend, or paying person back for paying my bills when overseas. And Whats best is you don't have to wait for the transfer a few days its INSTANT and the "credit card" option is great to have a small amount on and if you don't link it to your account they can't go into your over draft etc. Pros Everything about it is amazing! Work Colleagues will pay one another for lunches, or when I had to Venmo a mom on my daughters basketball team, her money for their team jackets! You can be live and see what others have transferred or be hidden. I like you can use emojis to say what it was for, makes it fun. Cons That people see the amount that you got or gave. Sometimes, a salon will give a client a "deal" but if someone else wanted to go they might think that will be the same cost to them? Pros Venmo is a great alternative to any money transfer option. Venmo is very quick and easy to use. The fees with Venmo are very low, to none. I highly suggest Venmo. Venmo is very fast, very fast. I like how quick and easy Venmo is and how low the fees are. Venmo can be used on a smart device but the app works wonderfully on a Google laptop, fantastic actually. You don't even see a difference. Cons There is very little I do not like about the Venmo app.the Venmo app overall is a great app. The only things that maybe be a concern is that unless you change the setting people can see what you are doing, which doesn't matter to me. Reason for choosing Venmo I chose Venmo just to try it because I wanted something new and saw it was very low risk to try. Use Venmo for a quick and easy way to pay small businesses (barbers, clothing pop-ups), friends, and more. Pros Venmo makes it extremely easy to pay friends , colleagues and independent business people. In the instances I've been paid through Venmo, I have found it easy to track my transactions and keep record of different meetings and instances I have made expenditures. Its also super easy to pay a friend back for a meal or send a little something for a special occasion like a birthday. Cons It can be tough to switch devices and access an account if your phone gets stolen or damaged. Also, if you pay someone by mistake or end up paying a wrong/inactive account, it is impossible to get the money back without contacting them. Review Source dD david D. Cons If you are not wanting to accept a payment from an individual, then it's nearly impossible to do so. Especially if the tenant is being evicted. This form of payment cannot be denied. Most of our donors are familiar with this software so that makes it easy for us to introduce in our events. Cons As a member of the marketing team, Venmo is a great tool for our donors. It is easy to use and understand. However, for our accounting team, this software is a nightmare because we do not get any information from our donors. There is no way to contact them back for taxes purposes or even to send them an update of their gift. " January 27, 2021 4.0 Overall, I have Venmo but it's not my first choice. I do use Zelle way more because it's connected with my business and it's instant without fees. Though, I do have Venmo incase someone else suggests but it's not my first preference. Pros I love the popularity of the platforms; everyone uses Venmo so it's highly convenient to use for personal reasons. It's also highly easy to keep track of your personal records. Cons I don't like that there isn't a business feature. I have seen a lot of policy changes and suggestions to not use for business but this would be a great tool to utilize. I have used this for clients who highly prefer the platform but I don't like the lack of security I get from Venmo. I can pay and deposit directly to and from my bank account, or keep the funds within Venmo to pay others. So easy! Cons Payments default to being published on a newsfeed, so if I am collecting for a gift for someone I am connected to on the app, they can see it if I and others don't make sure to keep it private.
