Pros The best part of this software is that users can pay someone very quick and the money is sent and appear on receivers account right away. This software is like a quick pay program, only take a second to send the money. It's different with the traditional way, when people send money and it takes like 3-5 business in order to see the payment appearing in their account. Cons The worst part of this software is that it takes forever to receive money in your actual account, which mean it appears that receivers received the money from sender in Venmo app and it would take time for the money to actually be available to use in your account. If you want to receive money immediately, you will need to pay fees to have it completely transfer to actual account. Review Source MB Mackenzie B. April 30, 2020 5.0 Venmo is great for small businesses and for people who just want an easier way to send money. I originally got the app as a way to send money to friends and family when we went out, which was great, and I ended up using it the most to pay my hairdresser that worked out of her home. Pros I do not use this software in my business, but I do use it in my personal life. I love how easy it is to send and receive money! Cons There aren't any "cons" that I can think of. The experience isn't as professional as I would have liked. Pros The app allowed me to transfer money from myself to multiple people who only needed to sign up for an account to receive the money. The addition of bank account information was fairly simple. The app allows me to send money for free from my bank account to others. It does charge a fee to send money from a credit card, though. Cons The thing I hate about this software is that it can post the transaction you make if you're not careful. There is an opportunity to make it a private transaction - but you must be aware of that choice otherwise everyone can see it. This might not be a big deal for some, but I tend to keep my personal transactions private. Now that Apple Pay and Zelle are part of the mix, I use those far more frequently because of their convenience, privacy, and security. Review Source Philip C. Its been a lifesaver in all aspects of my life! Pros I USE VENMO FOR EVERYTHING! I use it in my personal life, I use it in my business, it's probably one of the most used applications on my phone. Much more easier than navigating older providers such as square and most importantly, a lot less “expensive” Cons The only thing I would say is difficult when using Venmo is switching between business accounts and personal accounts. I feel like everyone is use to using venmo for personal finance transactions and sometimes forget to use their business dedicated account. I enjoy using the graphics as well because it can make the awkwardness of requesting money a little more fun. Pros I enjoy the fun graphics and easy ability to find friends on the app. It is also very easy to download and conduct transactions quickly. Cons Venmo defaults to public sharing of where you spend money or share money with friends. There is a way to set it to always private, but it took me over 6 months to find out that this was an option. Pros Easy access and convenient. Fast payments at the touch of a button. I love the app. Cons Right now my account is free, but I would be less like to use if there was a charge for transactions. I followed the simple instructions and then got my handle, sent it and I had cash in a few mins! I love it and use it a lot. Pros Venmo is to easy to use. The ability write and see others notes is just fun. There is a private option as well so money can transfer with discretion for private family matters. I was recently hacked and another account was breached but not Venmo and that was the one safe and the only one I could use to get money from family. Huge relief and THANK YOU!! Cons At first I was embarrassed that everyone could see transfers and requests. Then I realized private was an option, even better. I have no complaints at all and its secure, simple and fun. Reason for choosing Venmo I was introduced to Venmo after having CashApp and being upset. Venmo is it for me, family and friends.
