I have a lot of friends who we send each other money. It is super quick, efficient, and easy to send to bank account. Pros It’s super easy to use and makes it super easy to send money to friends or have friends send to me. It’s super helpful! Cons That not everyone has it. Sometimes I ask to send to someone and they don’t have it. But really I don’t know of anything I don’t like other than that, which can’t control. Or can you? Lol I wish there was a way to let people use it if they don’t have it. Like my mom has to drive all the way into town to put money in my account or I have to go all the way to her house, but it would be so much easier to have her send digitally but she doesn’t want to deal with that. " August 30, 2025 5.0 Overall I’ve had a very positive experience and highly recommend using Venmo. It’s convenient for business and personal use. The 91 year old lady at church even uses Venmo! That’s how easy it is to use! Pros Venmo is super easy to use for quickly sending money between friends and family. I’ve had zero issues with the app, and their customer service has been excellent. I have had the Venmo debit card for about 6 months and love the ease of use. Cons The only downside is that it can sometimes be a little tricky to find the right person if they have a common name, and there are fees for instant transfers. I also have a Venmo debit card, and it has been so easy and Customer Support has been very helpful. Cons There is hardly anything negative I can say about Venmo. There can be some scams that come through, but that's any payment platform. Venmo Customer Support has ALWAYS been helpful in protecting my information and rectifying issues. I love being able to transfer instantly Cons Though they have banking and routing numbers, it is still not compatible with a lot of things. Like I cant pay my rent using their banking info. The consumer trust people have for Venmo is also a huge plus, in comparison to other payment apps or using a card. Pros Venmo is easily the payment of choice for a significant amount of my business's customers when making purchases in an in-person setting. The ease of receiving payments means customers are able to cash out instantly and not have to deal with the hassle of cards or cash. Cons Managing a business account online has limitations compared to what is accessible on the app. I hope down the road Venmo will update this so you can make the same account changes whether on a desktop or mobile device. Pros I like how easy it is to accept and make payments to individuals. The app is easy to use and it’s also easy for people to find out profile. Cons I don’t like the high fees associated with a business account. As a church we use Venmo for donations, so it would be nice if there was an option to create a non-profit account that has less fees associated with it as opposed to our current business account. January 7, 2025 5.0 I think they are super easy to use. Set up is easy. Entering payment methods is also quite easy. I haven't had an issue with any part of using venmo, it's come in handy many times. Pros It is easy to set up and manage payment options. It's also easy to switch between business and personal profiles. Searching for contacts to pay or send money to is also quite easy. Cons The only thing I would change is no fee for instant transfers, however I can totally understand why they have a fee. I use a bank account where there is no fee to transfer and it usually deposits within 24 hours so it's not a long process. I find it kind of strange that I can see my friends payments though. Not a problem, just kind of strange. I also like that I can see my transactions and don't have to rely on just my memory. Cons I set it up for my mom, and it was a little difficult for her with matching the small deposits with her bank account. And one of the only ones that allow you to transfer money from your account without having a debit card on file. Cons Not really a lot of cons. The updates about who is paying who that you know are kind of weird.
