Other than the fact they charge to send money within minutes its well worth the small fee. Pros I like using Venmo to send money to my employees because it gives me monthly statements and sends it within minutes. I use this with my customers when i have no POS options available. The customer scans my QR and is able to pay for goods right away. Pros It is super easy to connect with a bank account and send and receive money. It is also easy and quick when it comes to transferring money feom venmo to the bank account. It is great for paying friends back after a day out. It is also great for accepting payments from customers when POS is not available. Cons I don't have any dislikes for any aspects of venmo. So if friends or family really need some cash for maybe gas or let's say you need money, venmo is the quickest way to send and receive. Pros Not too much to add to this one.Just like all the other mobile banking apps at offers your mobile bank transfers at cost if you want it immediately as well.As what I could tell being accepted between all of my banks. Plan to use it more. Cons No issues really other than the fact that you or I guess I have had troubles connecting with my paypal which is odd because its integrated to do it. It is good at some things and bad at others. Venmo does not feel as secure as other payment sites. Their buyer protection is difficult to use. Customer service is hard to get ahold of if you ever have any trouble. They like to send you a copy-and-paste reply each time you contact them. Pros Venmo is another decent payment app. It is more focused on sending payments between friends and family. You can set up direct deposit so if you don't trust banks, you can use Venmo to get paid for your job. I like that you can also apply for a Venmo debit card so you can easily pay for items at stores. Cons Venmo is owned by PayPal. One con is they don't allow you to send money from Venmo to someone's Paypal. If you have a friend that only uses PayPal, you are not able to send money to that friend, using your Venmo balance. Venmo also allows you to buy and sell cryptocurrency, but when you go to sell any, it takes close to a week to verify the transaction. I also really like that it allows you to choose from a standard or immediate transfer of funds. Cons As far as I know, it's not available outside the US, which limits international transactions. Owner Retail Used the software for: Less than 6 months ### "Disaster at Venmo " February 4, 2025 1.0 Overall experience has been a disaster I have reached out to them to release my own money and it has not helped some guy name \[sensitive content hidden\], now every situation is different but mine has not I transferred money into Venmo to get it held for a 180 days not good and when asked to release my own money to no avail totally wrong. Pros Don't like Venmo service at all in has been a nightmare. Cons Well for one I was allowed to transfer my own money from my bank account into Venmo for them to freeze my account and they are saying the will hold my money for 180 days that is outrageous. It allows me to be paid quickly and I like that i have the option of recieving funds imediatly (for a fee) or in a couple days. More often than not it's available next day. Pros This is a very accesable platform that many of my clients use. It's efficient and easy to use. Cons I would prefer if the default wasn't to make transactions public. I'm not sure why that's a feature at all.
