Pros

I have been using Promo for a little while now. I make videos for my ecommerce youtube channel and facebook page. Way easy to use and works great for simple projects.

Cons

Of course it doesn't have the technical capabilities of Adobe Premiere but still works great.

Pros

The Large catalog of videos was easy to sort.

Cons

Must use on desktop. I cancelled the account but they continued to charge me. When I asked for a refund they made it difficult. Even requiring bank statements! When I deleted my account they kept charging me!!! I can’t even login to control anything.

So easy to use. I'm not super techy but the software is easy to use and actually fun!

Cons

The monthly cost was high for a small agency like mine. I only need the videos here and there so I wish you could just buy one clip without a monthly commitment.

Pros

I like the idea behind the product. Using video for promos in short spans of time. I like that it’s web based so I can access it anywhere

Cons

It’s expensive for what it is. It’s not easy to use. Changing logo and adjusting time takes more time than it’s worth.

Terrible and rude customer service from \[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN\], regarding my billing issue. Was quit shocked, when they are so deliberate about misleading people into paying a whole year upfront. Beware, this company's ethics seem to be lax.

Pros

Easy to use, and the fonts and stuff look good.

Cons

Quite laggy, and did not do my full video length - a few bugs.

Pros

Promo is a really easy tool to use to edit clips together and add motion elements and text. I think the best way to use this product is for socials.

Cons

There's wasn't an advanced amount of customization with the animation options, however for a cloud-based tool at that price point it's hard to beat.

Cons

Very expensive! When we choose some video at research, should have the option to select videos all with the same characters. Should have more edit options creating text and effects at frames.

The ease of use is very appealing. You just need to add text to the video and that is it. Additionally you can export to other software for additional editing like iMovie.

Cons

Videos are very short so not that much flexibility there. would also be nice to have more fonts available.

My video was created in an hour and I was able to edit with ease. The commercial I created was posted on YouTube and on my website. The benefit is being able to produce a quality video in a short period of time, without spending hours and hours of my time trying to create something that looks professional. Saving time is saving money. I love PROMO!

Pros

I really love the quality of the videos provided and the ease of using the program. Adding and selecting the music and titles was so easy and fun, too! I did not even have to get my son to help me, it was easy for a grown up, like me! The direction are easy to follow and I was very pleased at how simple and fun this was! The price is perfect, too, high quality for a reasonable and affordable price.

Cons

An improvement would be to allow more text and maybe a little longer than 30 sec., perhaps 45 seconds.

As we were looking for video-promotion for our social-media, promo was recommended via google. It was surprisingly easy to make the first video. What impressed me most was the support via live-chat!

Pros

Easy step-by-step use, a lot of different videos in very good quality. Even the non-premium videos are nice to use, the interface is almost self-explaining, there is a little guided tour when you use it for the first time.

Cons

There is nothing I could mention here right now. All depends on the success we'll have with the posted videos. We didn't post one yet, so it would be unfair to give a negative feedback at this point.

As a small business with limited resources, Promo makes it very easy to create the short videos we need to help brand ourselves wherever we choose with high quality videos.

Pros

Plenty of high quality videos to choose from and the system used to overlay text on videos is very easy to use as well. We can also upload our own videos and images to use with their system should we choose to which is also a huge bonus since we don't have other software to do that with.

Cons

Website can often taken awhile to load due to the number of videos being shown and ready for preview.

Overall I really liked this website, but the price point was not feasible for the needs of our company. Loved the way the video turned out, so hopefully this is something we can work with in the future.

Pros

It was generally pretty easy to use. As someone who has never done any video editing, I was able to throw together a neat video in not very long.

Cons

It's expensive. For a company that is just dipping into video advertising, it might be nice to have a pay per video option. The monthly subscription is expensive if you only need 1 or 2 videos a month.

Pros

The process for creating the videos was so simple- you can drag and drop elements quickly and easily and assemble a professional looking video in minutes- Also had a good range of stock images/ videos which means you can have a good variety of content

Cons

Lack of option to preview video before rendering- meant needing to go back and forward to tweak the finished video. The limits of no of videos for month is a little low considering the price per month of each package.

Tried the free plan and never upgraded. i don't think it's worth the money and I found better solutions for a lower price

Pros

Easy to use, Promo has all the features you would expect from a video maker. A lot of templates, most of them are very good.

Cons

They define their technology groundbreaking, in my experience with online video makers (I have tried at least 20 of them) it is average. The editor and all the website could be faster. I can't justify the pricing.

It would be useful to have a "view" feature when changing from one format to another (ie. horizontal to square) to be able to see exactly what the new video will look like.

It's not long enough. I would love for it to be a little longer and be able to put the logo on each slide.
