COO Real Estate Used the software for: 6-12 months ### "Great for Small Business" August 8, 2018 5.0 Boomr has been the perfect solution for time keeping for a small business like ours that has employees in multiple locations. Pros Boomr is easy to use as both administrator and employee. No expensive timekeeping equipment is required. All you need is a smart phone or desktop computer. The software integrates with Gusto (an HR/payroll platform) making payroll processing simple and fast. I like the geofencing feature which prevents employees from clocking in away from their designated work location. Notes can be made within the time sheet to explain overtime, manual changes, and things of that nature. Cons There is nothing that I dislike in particular about the software. I love that i can reach my rep immediately and if he is not in the office then someone else takes over and answers very quickly. It's great! Pros It is extremely easy to use. I love that I am able to store any important documentation and have it all in one place. I really love the payment tool, it is very easy to schedule, stop, add, view history when it comes to payments. Cons I wish there were more days in before payroll processing. Sometimes I need to make an adjustment or employees that use timecards don't know if they will do OT one day but they have to submit days before processing. Review Source CN Connor N. Used the software for: 6-12 months ### "Overall this product is an effective and efficient tool" May 23, 2016 4.0 The best part of this app is the GPS tracking ability. I use this app to clock in and out of multiple different job sites throughout the day and this app does a great job of making that a fairly easy process. It saves time on my part and it also saves my boss's money. Pros Well as I already mentioned in my review above I really like the GPS tracking ability. And along with that I find the ability to pre-load job sites on the app extremely convenient for me as a worker/user, I no longer need to worry about remembering to write down the address of the job site I am at because I can just clock into the correct address. Cons Overall I really like this product and there isn't really much to complain about from the employee aspect. I know, from hearing my boss talk about it, that there are some variations that could be made on the administrative side that would make things easier, like making the app total the workers hours automatically. The only thing that I would like to see changed on the user aspect is making the ability to add notes to the shift a little easier, because right now it's a little obscure to access. Despite this, it's nice that the product pretty much works out of the box without too much administration. Pros Justworks is easy to use and navigate. They are making product updates like releasing an employee app. While that hasn't been released yet, the mobile site preforms perfectly. Their recent addition of 2 factor authentication was a great move in further protecting our employee data. Cons \-Support can sometimes be difficult to reach, but the addition of chat has helped bridge that gap -It would be great to have some degree of integrations (like pushing notifications of employees taking PTO to a dedicated HR slack channel. I can login and select my shift with little hassle on my end. Cons I dont enjoy the the edit shift flag it is sometimes confusing, as is the "select location" option is overall annoying as I have multiple options for the same location. Cons It can be too sensitive when selecting dates and hours. For example one time I tried to put in 8 hours and it ended up putting 27 hours because the date scroll was so sensitive on the phone. I no longer dread the time card approvals. Less mistakes are made from the employee or supervisor. Pros The time tracking in boomr makes my role as a supervisor easy. Employees are able to instantly document time off and see approvals. Cons It took me a few weeks to be comfortable in making changes and correcting shifts. Review Source Megan Y. Pros That it is easy to use. It keeps you honest with your check in time/ check out. I like that you can add notes. Cons when leaving a WIFI zone and trying to use the app it does not work. March 23, 2017 5.0 Boomr is a great app for my employees, I was tired running after my employees timesheet (paper) every week, and they would forget to fill it, with Boomr they can do it from their phone. Pros Awesome because I can see what's happening live at the workplace, and can have an overview over the time employees worked each week Cons I wish the app would prevent employees to start a shift if they already in on, sometimes they don't close the app and open it again and have double shift. Also something good would be a notification function to remind the employee to log in when he is arriving at the location (gps) and to log off when he is leaving the location Review Source Diego R. May 16, 2018 4.0 Pros It makes it easy for employees to see their paychecks, benefits and manage enrollment during the year. One less thing to worry about. Cons The additional service they offer are not actually very good. We tried using some of the random 'extra' services and they were a time sink. The feature I liked the most was Agents have the ability to see the money they are making in real time. Cons I don't like the filter dates function. I wish there was an option to just pull up current pay periods without adjusting dates. Pros Justworks has a very user-friendly layout and makes it easy for me to check on my paystub, time off, 401k, etc. We've also used the platform for some HR trainings and were pleasantly surprised at how well the trainings could be completed and documented. Pros I can do most of what I need with or employees on the platform...one of my favorite aspects of JW is the ease of onboarding new hires; from signup to payrolling and I9, it's 100% goof-proof! Cons It would be great if there was a Human Capital Management piece. We currently use PeopleGoal for performance reviews and feedback. My job requires me to travel to various locations, and my employer uses Boomr so I can "check in" at the start of my shift when I arrive at the tablet on location. I can also check in with the app on my phone and my location is sent to my employer so they know I am on site at the time I check in. It's also convenient that I can check off tasks that I have completed and my employer will know right away that they've been done. Pros Paperless timekeeping, app is easy to use, can send photos to my employer through the app of what's happening at my jobsite. Cons The application can be a little buggy. It does in minutes what 'traditional' timekeeping systems do in hours or days. It is super simple to use and allows staff to onboard themselves. Absolutely phenomenal solution. Pros Strong integrations for seamless timekeeping, payroll processing, and bookkeeping. Super user-friendly for both admin and staff. Staff can log in from their phone. Love love LOVE it. If they forgot to clock out then could easily do it where ever they were. We have a few remote employees and that made this nice as well Pros It was so easy to set up and start implementing. We had our entire team using it the very next day. Cons We have interns that come and go for the company constantly. Some of those interns do not have smartphones making it near impossible to use the product. What was needed at the time was web portal that would allow those interns to clock in. What I mean by this is adding a new employee to the platform (takes <1 min), expanding our employment base to new states is no longer a painful arduous task dealing with departments of labor in each state (Justworks handles it all), and the level of benefits we can offer to our employees is way way better than what we could afford to do previously (health insurance, FSA/HSA, 401K, life/disability insurance, etc...all through a simple to use platform). Cons Nothing really. As a startup new employees are blown away by what we can offer them because of our partnership with Justworks. Pros The software is web-based, easy to use, and intuitive. The dashboard function that brings time, benefits, and other HR functions together is very convenient not only for the user, but also for the administrator. This software is especially great for PTO allocation over multiple geographical areas and job functions/roles. Cons It's a bit pricey for smaller businesses, but definitely not as pricey as staffing a person to take care of all of the functions it covers.
